I've had to start my game over because I was a moron and didn't back up my save. Plus I still can't sign in to PSN, so don't expect to see me online anytime soon.

:( let us know if you need any cars. We can at least get you a full garage quickly:)

Good racing last night guys. I just typed up a big race results thingy and then it took me so long that I was logged out and lost it. Oh well...

I will enter spreadsheet results later but Ice won the night by one point over Tez and his wet weather tire knowledge :)

I opt to choose the track instead of PP but I will wait to see which tracks are dropped/added before choosing.

I freed up a few minutes at work so I'll do a shortened re-cap of last night:

Race one was High Speed Ring with full rain and oh boy did it rain... The whole time, even through qualifying. I don't think it ever got below 100% surface water. Tez did his homework and demolished the field at qualifying while running comfort softs but he tipped his hand and Joe swapped tires just before the race started. With everyone else running sports mediums, Tez and Joe took 1st and 2nd respectively with me in 3rd over a minute behind. :dunce:

Race two was Spa and the big dogs came out. I didn't get to see much racing because I was all alone in last, but there was a good battle for 1st between Ken and Schmiggz with Ken pulling it out in his NSX. Joe kept cursing and saying he was doing badly but finished 3rd of course. My RX-8 had a front spoiler or something so I had to run a gold with stock wheels BMW 330i with 40,000,000 miles and there were reports of spectators throwing up in the stands and leaving due to the horrific sight. It was nearly beige people

Race 3 was Tsukuba or FFF (Front engine Front-wheel drive Fest) or VTsukubaEC. Only Tez and Wolf used 4WD while I was in the Spoon Integra, Schmiggz had a '91 Prelude and Joe and Ken both had the '01 Civic Type R. I held 1st for most of the race, but on the 2nd to last lap Joe took me over and Ken nearly had me at the finish line.

Race 4 was Indy Road and luckily I had my highest pp MR car left. I managed 2nd, barely, with Joe hitting me right at the finish line. Thanks for not passing me Joe :sly:Tez ran away with this one in his NSX and Ken was not far behind in 4th.

It was a good night of racing by everyone and a lot of fun. I still have some work to do but I only remembered to save the last race so I may be asking for a few replays... cough Joe cough.

I don't know how or why, but that last turn (before the oval bends leading to the finish) at Indy Road I take so horribly wrong. Joe had to be doing like 20mph more than I was at the finish line. I must be braking too much but it is easily the most critical turn on the track because of the long straight right after. I'll have to investigate.

Joby,
How many track choices should I PM you?

Good write up ;) The reason I was cursing at Spa was I know I had a car that could win or least have a great battle for 1st but I friggin ran off the track and crashed several times which was mildly irritating.

The key to the final turn at Indy is to stay out wide then turn in later than you think and make a late apex on the back part of the corner. The turn is an increasing radius so if you hit the entry point right you should be able to get on the gas earlier while running out to the left edge of the track. The turn in point is the most important part.

I think I have that right...sometimes I try to help but then remember the track incorrectly ;)

Question for discussion on the thread

Would you guys like to allow Weather/time change tracks or should we keep those to only being allowed as the Qualifying track?

As long as we know about it beforehand, I'm ok with weather. As a qualifying track or an A,B or C option (for example High Speed Ring weather change) everyone would have had a chance to prepare for it.

Was having a quick record of the results and did some math stuff and came up with the following.

Out of the 810 cars eligible for PP Cap (335-550PP) we have driven just over 350 unique cars:) Nearly half of the available cars have been tried. I bet there is not another league that has used such a wide range of cars.

Here are the most used cars and the number of times they have been used:

25 - Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5) RM '04
24 - Ford RS200 '84
20 - TRD Celica TRD Sports M (ZZT231) '00
18 - Subaru BR-Z S ’12/Scion FR-S '12/Toyota 86 GT '12
18 - Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 '85
15 - Mugen MUGEN S2000 '00
15 - Audi S3 '02
13 - Spoon INTEGRA TYPE R (DC2) '99
12 - BMW M3 CSL '03
12 - RUF 3400S '00
12 - TRIAL CELICA SS-II (ZZT231) '03
12 - Renault Sport Clio Renault Sport V6 24V '00
12 - Toyota MR-S V Edition (6MT) '02
10 - RUF RGT '00
10 - Renault Sport Lutecia Renault Sport Trophy Race Car '00/Renault Sport Clio Renault Sport Trophy Race Car '00

My track votes submitted.

I vote that we only use the dry track versions after what we saw last night. It just got ugly pretty quickly...the racing really wasn't close for anyone on the track. It was fun...for a little bit ;)

Cool stats Joby! I should be able to get the cars from last night in sometime tonight.

Plus 1!
Did not have much fun with the weather track. Ill race with you guys anything, but the dry tracks promotes closer racing and it is way more enjoyable.

I disagree on the 'dry track promotes closer racing'....my races at Spa and Indy were pretty dull.

Had people tested with the comfort softs, I reckon it would have been close. That's based on joby in practice and Joe being at or slightly faster than my pace....I only won since he hadn't practiced as much and therefore made more mistakes, that's it.
