Well I know for a fact went I have to pit, and how much fuel I have to take when running FAST tire wear.. Looking like every 12 laps at a maximum.

I had changed the BB to what you suggested Fastfox400 and ran it until the gas was gone. It is a big improvement, I have much more confidence with the car now. It has a little bit of understeer now but the crazy mid turn snap oversteer is gone.
I was running a 1:55 average lap time and the car seemed to handle much more gently. I also found that if I don't rev it over 5500 rpm coming out of a corner I can floor it and not worry about the rear slipping out.

I would like to run the Garaiya on Saturday as I have formed a love hate relationship with this car over the week. If I can keep it on the road and out of the way I will consider it a victory.

I found by braking slightly early and allowing the car to in on decel was upsetting the balance. So by have a slight amount more front brake allowed me roll in to the throttle slightly before the apex and hammer it out harder. Snap oversteer is unpredictable. While knowing you have a slight amount of understeer will make the car more predictable.

@Chiochan If you are not in the practice when I get home I'll run some laps with you to see if there is anything else i can do to help gain even more confidence in the car. As i am not looking forward to running LMP's in the rain.. I have over 500 miles in the dry on RS and about 300mi on the mediums I know what to expect from the car in the dry. But with water on the track and rain tires useless in the game, I may be a **** creek with out a damn paddle.

The early braking to keep the car settled is so true, and the slight understeer is way better than the alternative. I will try to attend the practice tonight, but I also want to get a little practice for sunday.

The Garaiya gt3oo basemodel.

I will try that. It's is something I haven't tried yet. I use a wheel so will controller sensitivity do anything?

No, controller sensitivity refers to how fast the wheels turn to lock using a controller, and hence it does nothing with a wheel

In GT5 yes your are correct. But the controller sensitivity function still works on wheels.. I have tested and it does chang ehow quickly the wheels move from point a to point b..

Would you mind explaining a bit more, surely your input on your wheel would be identical to what happens in the game?

Just so everyone knows. I will be opening up a room tonight @ 9:30pm EST. See if we can get enough in the room to run a smaller extended length race with a fast weather and time progression so we all know what to expect saturday night.

There will be no tire regulations for qualifying, but the room will be set up and a time change will be required or you will receive a penalty at the end of the race.

I'll be there!

are you still going to make a room?

Just finished practice for tomorrow's 2.4 hour endurance race and no matter how many times i pitted to change tire compounds, the box never came up for me to change to racing softs. I am hoping PD fixes this soon.

Did you have your room settings set to: mandatory pit stop and tyre change?

Yes. The room was full of glitchs. I was driving a lmp car that felt like ti was on sports tires.. I'm going to be doing some test later this afternoon to see if there is a way around the glitchs or if we will need to post pone. `

Yea I had a problem too yesterday, even though I won in my class in yesterday's practice(GT300). I was pulling off 1:55s with R/M tires and when I switched to R/S I could even get close to that, I was pulling off 1:58s. I don't know what happened.

Have you tried the old GT5 trick of switching the track once before the race starts?

So this tire wear bug apparently isn't something new. Here's a thread on it. I don't know about you guys, but I feel like we should postpone this race until this bs gets sorted out. Funny thing is not all cars seem to be affected by it. The 86 we ran before was perfectly fine. Somebody should probably test the Impreza if its affected too.

We are not going to postpone. I did some testing and there is 2 ways around it and we will be doing both. We will be starting promptly at 945. Room will open @ 930pm.

Its going to have to follow the honor system. So i will not have mandatory pit on or tire compound change.

Hey guys, this post serves as a notice that I might not make it tonight. I woke up this morning feeling like crap with a terrible headache, sore throat, and chills. I will post around 9:00 if I don't feel any better so it might be a good idea to find a replacement for me.

P.S. - If anyone knows any "Get Well Soon" remedies, please share through PM. I know I might not feel good right away but I don't want to be like this for more than a day. Thanks guys.

Sorry to hear that Driftin. Hope you feel better soon.

If Driftin can't make it and you guys need a replacement I should be available. I would just need to know which car I will be driving.

So basically everyone is going to be on R/S the whole race.
