Okay, where's my usual 18 points?! This time I actually want 18! :P

In all seriousness, my race tonight was by far the worst of the season for me. I couldn't keep the car on the track and I collected more penalties than I could count. However, tonight doesn't take away from the overall season, which has been an absolute blast and extremely enjoyable for me. Cool new format and same old friends.. can't beat that! :D

@kendawg - be sure to get a picture of me doing this as I entered the pits at the end of lap 8:

I was all set for an 9th place finish and 1 minute left to race I run out of GAS!!! It was hard not to cry while limping to the finish line. Sorry Zer05ive for being a rolling barrier, and a great race from everyone. See you all next season!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

OMG I just watched zer0's lap 8 pit stop. Almost fell outta my chair. I'll be using that as a day lightner for some time to come. I am so saving this replay, just for that, forever.

When my day seems crappy, I will load this up. And while I'm sure it wasn't funny for zer0 while it was happening....

Dragons Racing Team Race Report

What an up and down night for Dragons Racing Team. Having a long chat with the driver and crew chief.

Great qualifying run after having forgot to set the steering angle on the control setup and adjusting it on the fly, forgot to set the brake balance in the garage so was fooling with that on the start and missed the countdown lights completely, fell 6 places.

Clawed up to third during first session, thanks to other's mistakes, pit strategies and a little tire management, executed tire swap plan on first green pit as intended, race fell apart during the caution pit when the crew chief threw a second set of hard compound tires on, and filled the damn tank to overflowing. I don't know what Kimi might have said, but I had a few choice words for Mr. Crew Chief. All he had to do was mash a few buttons and set me up, what does he do? Mash one... And, it wasn't like we were the first pit, like last week in Japan.

Stupid wipers won't turn off. Emergency pit for tires as the field goes green for the second session. Drop to last place while in pit, as I come out and get squared away down the straight after Eau Rouge, I finally find the switch to get the stupid wipers turned off.

Second session goes well. Running competitive lap times with everyone, except martin20az (who ought to put another "a" in his name, right before the n) who's running around, almost 2 seconds faster than everybody else at any given lap. Spend some time chasing tcrash, who pits and hands me 5th place for the moment. Rossi comes out on fresh tires, catches me and sends me back to 6th, he goes wide coming out of the fast left hander and takes a penalty, socalspeed pits and I inherit 4th, which Rossi promptly takes with his fresh tires and wanders off in the distance. Dragons Racing calls "box, box, box" so I pull in and the crew does a great job and gets me back out in 7th.

Run down tcrash and zer0, zer0 has a bad chicane, gets squirrely coming out and I get by him. Run my best lap following tcrash as we cross the line for the second caution on lap 30.

Inherit the lead on pit stops with AJ and beal being the only ones besides me who didn't pit during this caution.

I get the honor of leading one hot lap while martin is getting past a few cars and taking the position after Eau Rouge. He starts getting away and I ride his draft for a couple laps and gain some distance from the pack. 10 to go and I've got a comfortable gap to third. 7 to go and the gap to first is getting bigger as is the gap to third. Tire wear starting to show but the gap is still comfortable. I can see Panda and Kendawg getting closer and I get nervous about tire wear and pit for new rubber. Be nice if that pit board would show splits to car ahead and car behind, instead of the, usually useless, split to first.

I don't know if I had enough tire to fend off their charge but according to the replay they were gaining almost full seconds every sector. Came out of pits in 4th and socalspeed has tire temp on me and gets by at the end of the straight. He lets me by later this lap and I am back in 4th, but not enough time to catch the leaders. In hindsight I probably shoulda' stayed out, but I'm so bad on worn tires I didn't want to risk it. A 4th place finish with this field of drivers and with the strange issues with the car and crew? I'm ecstatic.

Hope I get along with next season's car and tracks as well as I get along with this season's.

I really like this format and at the moment, I'm not sure if there's anything you could do to improve it.

All righty race fans. Here we are at Spa for the last race of the season. Kendawg has a 14 point lead over the current champion rossi. Can he hold on to it to be the champ.

We would like to welcome martin and socalspeedfreaka for tonights race.

The vette is a very high hp car. Everyone has encountered some kind of spin, offtrack or out-of-control with this car. This track is no different. Keeping the car on the track and off the penalties is key.
Lets get to the race action and see how the last race turns out.

14 racers line up for tonights race. Kendawg will lead them from pole position.

Going through turn one at the start of the race. It is a clean start even at four wide.

Kendawg leads the field up Eau Rouge as they begin to string out

Oshawa Joe gets a draft down the long Kemmel Straight to get by Kendawg

Oshawa Joe runs it deep into Les Combes as Kendawg goes underneath

AJHG runs it off going through Les Combes. The vette is really a handful on cold tires

About to complete lap one. Kendawg leads Oshawa Joe and Da Panda Bear through the chicane

AJHG leads dragonwhisky, socalspeedfreak and rossi through the chicane at the end of lap 1

Zer05ive runs it deep and off in Bruxelles courner as Goat goes pass

rossi passing socalspeedfreak in Pouhon to move up

martin is moving up through the field fast. But he gets his first taste of getting the vette off into the grass

Coming out of the last chicane is a very slow speed turn. It is easy to get the vette crossed up and out of control while trying to get back on the power. Chatva shows us this

Now Kendawg can't get the vette slowed down going into Les Combes. He runs it into the penalty area and Oshawa Joe gets by

Do not adjust your T.V. sets. You are not seeing double vision. This is martin passing tcrash on the outside down Kemmel Straight

O no, Oshawa Joe gets it all crossed up on the breaks headed into the last chicane.

Oshawa Joe runs it off and into the wall dropping out of the lead

martin catches the leader Kendawg and makes a drafting move going down Kemmel Straight

Kendawg fights back going through Les Combes

martin and Kendawg side-by-side through Les Combes

Kendawg moves back into the lead down the hill into Bruxelles

Not again. martin gets the right side off in the grass through Blanchimont

Hang on martin

martin spins off track leaving a cloud of tire smoke

Now socalspeedfreak also loosing it on the breaks heading into the chicane

Kendawg and martin heading into the pits

Da Panda Bear takes the first caution on lap 15 in the lead.

teams enter the pits during the first caution laps

martin leads Zer05ive, AJHG and the rest of the field around under caution

martin restarts the race as everyone follows through the chicane

Zer05ive inherits the lead after martin pits

The lead doesn't last long as zer05ive runs off in Stavelot corner

Kendawg moves up into second after passing rossi down Kemmel Straight

rossi makes a pit stop and martin moves into third

Now Oshawa Joe pits and Kendawg is the new leader

At the second caution. Kendawg is the leader

As everyone exits the pits Dragonwhisky is the leader during the caution laps

A good clean re-start to the race as Dragonwhisky leads going into turn 1

cmbeal runs it wide in Les Combes giving up second place

martin on the move passing AJHG on the outside through the fast Blanchimont curve

martin passing Dragonwhisky to move into the lead

Now rossin getting on the inside of AJHG headed through Blanchimont

Kendawg getting around rossi coming out of Eau Rouge to move up into second place

Da Panda Bear is on the move. Getting around rossi and Kendawg to move up into second. Can he now catch the leader martin with 10 laps to go

Oshawa Joe gets by zer05ive to get into the top 10

tcrash getting around AJHG to get in the top 5

rossi and tcrash battle hard to get in the top 5. rossi gets a run down the start finish straight to get around tcrash

Goat running in 9th runs out of gas on the last lap. zer05ive gets by to break the top 10

Kendawg gets on the podium in 3rd and will be the champion for season 11

Panda Bear couldn't get by martin but does get on the podium in 2nd

martin is your Spa winner.

Congratulations martin on the win and Kendawg for winning the Championship. It was a very exciting season with the new rules and the very fast race model vette.
Hope everyone can make it next Saturday for the new season. Stay tuned for the new car and the new tracks.

Yet another great season has come and gone, we've had quite a few new people step up and join us and the grid sizes are really starting to grow! The new system we put in place becomes better and better with every race as everyone continues to learn and get better at racing under the new format. I truly think we have finally found our perfect format! Thank you all for your support and commitment to racing to make this another great season and here's to Season 12!

At this time we can begin prize selections and hopefully have everything sorted in a timely manner so that we can get the order and laps determined for next week as well as giving everyone time to break in the new cars. Speaking of cars, a few weeks ago Kendawg asked my to compile a list of all the cars we've raced and I'll be adding the list to the first post once we get the new car decided. So far we've raced:

Lotus Elise RM 96 & 04
R35 Touring Car DLC
RX7 Touring Car DLC
ZR1 RM
NSX RM
ISF RM
Camaro SS RM 10
TVR Tuscan Speed 6 RM
Subaru Impreza RM
Lancer EVO RM

There sure were a bunch of No. 1's on cars last night. Everyone make sure you get a number and change the number on your car.

I entered the room and all I had was the z06 so I backed out bought the zr1 threw a paint chip at it and jumped back in. I would have put 20 on it I just didn't have time

You mean you didn't break your car in and your running 2.08 @ Spa. My brain just exploded. Tell me you at least changed the oil?

I don't know if this has already been discussed but, Ooh, Ooh I have an idea. 💡

What about our numbers for the current and subsequent seasons being our previous season's championship finishing position?

Dang. That hurt. Time for some advil and a nap.

Great pick and pic report Ken. 👍

That would be why he's going to New York in a couple of weeks and hopefully on to England. 👍

He definitely needs an a before the n.

I'll stick with my lucky number 15. :-)

I may have to see if I can wrangle a few Saturdays for this. I love reading and seeing the pics afterwards. Great job, Kendawg!

Not sure how I will pull off SPEC, Sunday nights, and Cap Racing on 3 consecutive nights, and some practices on Thursday... But I can try.

Kinda thought Stevie Wonder would be the case. ;) :sly:

Mine shows 237HP with 496PP, already has my lucky number 13 on it, broken in already with 600+ miles. Slapped some new rims and paint job on it, re-built engine and chassis and it's ready to roll.

RS and RH for tires?

Glad you added that after the last pic, would've started calling you kendradawg ;)

Cool pics 👍

Hard core racers don't even see the girl. So, I had to put that in there for the non-hard core racers because they don't see the bike.....👍

My color this season is Jaguar Purple with orange chrome wheels. My number will be
