I would have thought this was common knowledge however I will be adding the below to the General Rules.

  • All drivers will refrain from doing donuts, burnouts, drifting, driving backwards or any other activity that would be a distraction to other drivers on the track during all Official RCS events (practice sessions, KOQ, Main Events, etc..)
  • Additionally, if you are going to park along the track edge to "watch" please make sure you are as far away from the racing surface as possible so as to no cause a distraction to other drivers.
It was brought to my attention that during KOQ this past week, (although off the racing surface) some of the drivers were doing donuts, burnouts, etc which was causing a distraction to those trying to qualify.

Thanks guys.

Preseason Testing

As I did during Season 2, I will be hosting testing sessions for the next season on Mondays @ 9:00pm Eastern doing a series of short practice sessions on various tracks that I will use to determine the voting combos. This will also help in producing the upcoming season promo videos. All series drivers are welcome to attend these testing sessions.

That said, Season 4 will feature the following cars:

14953865080_cd5c27cd16_c.jpg

Monday 9/8 we will be testing the 2001 Volkswagon Golf IV GTI Touring Car
Monday 9/15 we will be testing the Honda CR-Z Touring Car
Monday 9/22 we will be testing the 1997 Honda Civic Type R (EK) Touring Car

Thanks

As stated above, I will be doing to Season 4 testing tonight in the 2001 Volkswagon Golf IV GTI Touring Car (Racing Hard tires) on a few tracks if anyone is interested. This will help define the track selection for next season and also give you a chance to see how the car will perform. I'll open the lobby around 8:30pm.

No need to test Grimm...driven this car numerous times now, it's pure joy!!!

Comes Parcells pre-approved!

Loads of fun testing the angry little toaster oven with the boat anchor for brakes tonight lol. I'll be there for the testing of the other two proposed cars but that VW is fun!

We had a quick discussion on this during the testing session this evening. Given the skill level of many other drivers in this series my odds of qualifying during any KOQ session are realistically <50%. I'd like to suggest that, if interested, the non-qualifiers join me right after the KOQ session and we'll hold a quick race amongst ourselves. Looking at doing just 1 race on the same course but limiting time to say 20 mins. It'll likely take away any pit strategy stuff out of the picture but give us slower qualifiers a chance for a quick race before ending the evening.

Let me know what you think.

How about instead of two 40 minute races we have 4 20 minute races and tire wear is set to Normal so we don't have to worry about pitting. I like this idea. It would be nice to have a back-up room for the Toilet Bowl Championship lol

Is your suggestion regarding the format for Skiwi's suggestion or for the main events? If its for the main event, sorry the format will remain at 2 40 min race as the pit strategy is a vital aspect of the series.

For Skiwi's suggestion of course. I would never mess with what's already in place, but if we're brainstorming I love to add my ideas. Any racing in some way for those that fail to make qualifying (be it as there may be many) would be really nice so they don't feel left out and without something to do on Wednesday night.

Lol. :sly: your caring Is much appreciated but I didn't make it last week and I managed to make it thru the night somehow thank god!? Very high possibility might happen again this week?? you got nothing to worry about though so my slow arse will go poor a glass of whiskey on the rocks and listen to sad music thinking what could of been!! my partners got this one in the bag!! that's my stone cold led pipe lock of the week! ::sly:

Hmm maybe I can join that tonight?

I'm probably gonna practice for the race series actually! I have a bone to pick with that series! Lol. my race strategist and partner have to go over our game plan like the Silver Arrow boys in F1..! except we won't take each other out on purpose? I don't think? Lol. :D Team orders can be tricky sometimes! I'm just lucky I have a great partner! I know he has a chip on his shoulder after missing qualifying by 3 one thousands of a second last week!! WOW!

According to brntguy, if you'd have joined you would have been forced to suspend the lot of us for participating in an unsanctioned and unauthorized practice session. ;) :P:sly::scared::bowdown:

We ignored him though and kept our pedals to the metal. So did he.

Not sure why Euclid hasn't confirmed his participation, I'm pretty sure he is planning on running.GotDirt also was in the practice room too.

Note - Im anticipating a larger turnout for KOQ this week so please try to arrive early. Once you are on the track and have recorded your times, please try to stay on track or in the pits and not exit to the main lobby screen as it will make it easier to track the times. Thanks

Additionally, prior to anyone joining the lobby (KOQ or Main), please clear your cache to help ensure quality connection. Thanks
