Rest assured I am approaching my recovery the right way, and this could be completely in line with where I am now. Yesterday worked out well so today I will add driving into the mix and see what that does. I am optimistic . . .

Two weeks ago I had two surgeries to permanently fuse my lower back (S1 to L3). This will fix the mechanics of my lower back but may not address the omnipresent pain (I've been in pain for twelve years straight now). I am forced into this because of old injuries; I ruptured the disc at L3/L4 while training for a triathlon when I was 21, though I very, very strongly suspect the true cause was a car wreck 18 months earlier that almost sent me through the windshield and the disc only expressed this defect after repeated long-distance training sessions.

Between 2000 to 2003 I had two laminectomies which brought me to where I was prior to the surgery - no disc left period between S1/L5, almost no disc at L5/L4, and a severely damaged disc at L4/L3. Each laminectomy permanently damages the shock absorber capabilities which then causes the vertebrae to grind against each other, making the vertebrae lose mass (my L5 is about 2/3 the size it should be and was cocked at an odd angle). If I did not do this fusion it was almost guaranteed I'd end up paralyzed or effectively paralyzed, unable to use my legs. Having the mechanics fixed will also greatly increase the chance that non-invasive procedures (epidurals, physical therapy, etc.) will work on the pain.

I'm now on medical leave for 3-4 months from work while my vertebrae grow together, over the plastic spacers that replaced my discs and around the titanium screws and rods that now frame S1 to L3 (they use titanium because in addition to being super light and super strong bone will grow around/through it).

What is this? Color me intrigued . . .

Cars do not need a break-in period in GT6 like they did in 5.

I hope I can make it throughout knockout qualifying tonight. May I ask, what kind of brake bias are you guys running? Plus tell me whether you are you using abs/ no abs. I'm finding it difficult to find a good brake balance to keep all 4 tires worn down evenly. I love racing front wheel drive cars but damn those front tires! lol I currently am running abs but I'm using 0 front & 10 rear.

I was running 4-8 with ABS at 1.

Thank you for the feedback, at least now I know I'm in the right direction for brake bias. Now I just have to make sure I don't get any wheel spin and under steer into the ditches!:gtpflag:

I can host until about 3:45, then I have to take my cat to the vet for a check-up.
 
I got it down to 49.683 but when the left front tire reaches 7 it starts to go down and at a low 6/5 it's just about keeping on the road and keeping others behind. Fuel is not really an issue with this race or maybe all of them.
 
Since Brands Hatch allows for time change, can the first race be in the morning and the second in the afternoon? Change up the shadows and make it a new race. And for realism, you'd have one race at around 10am and the next at 4pm. I remember when I was at the Watkins Glen 6 Hour the support races ran all day, so I could watch a race with blaring sunlight and then another with long shadows making for some great photos.

Thanks Joe... I debated the watermark and then decided to go ahead and include it with slight transparency to suggest that I did a little bit of work on them and they were all deliberate choices with a photographic eye. I didn't mean to be pretentious about it.

Knock-Out Qualifying Lobby is now open - 1472-6399-8665-9412-7101

Nine positions are up for grabs in tonight's Knock-Out Qualifying session. Top 9 lap times from tonight's Knock-Out qualifying will advance to the Main Event.
