No offense to all you IRacing people out there, but I think it might be appropriate at this time for all you guys to move the IRacing banter to the IRacing section. Maybe it's time for you guys to create a SNAIL IRacing thread over there and move forward from there.

I'm a teensy weensy bit tired of the IRacing talk since it usually comes with a dose of GT bashing.

Most of us here are either invested in our PS3 game, do not have the cash/means/desire to play IRacing or just simply like GT and enjoy playing it for all it's glory and flaws. Nothing is perfect.

I have a nice PC but I have no desire to play IRacing. I have played GT1, GT2, GT5 and now GT6. I like it and have no desire to switch to another game.

We have heard months of IRacing talk. I think it might be nice for you guys to grab a SNAIL thread over there. Nothing personal...but I don't really care to sift through a bunch of Forza talk either...so they have a Forza thread for that.

This will probably get lost in the sea of Berg Racing school numbers picking but at least it's off my chest.

There might be a little more too it than you think. 1:07.5 so far and there's a few 10ths still out there.

With cornering speeds so high and power so low, momentum is key. Even tiny deviations in line and throttle application can make a big difference, as does tire scrub caused by too much steering input.

Yeah no doubt. I'm just bored with how it drives.. finishing off the Red Bull Challenge atm. The Fan car seems to be a lot more fun.

Rally, you're not a client, you're a consumer. One of millions.. so unless you have some sort of direct contract with PD to have a product that meets a specific requirements list, you're SOL buddy..

If you don't like it, sell it and move on, but PD has no obligation to make anyone happy with their product. They have a release schedule, and they also have complications that get in the way...the gaming world will just have to deal with it.

I don't care what bugs are in the game I chose to buy and continue to play -- I take the good with the bad. If I don't like it, I just think twice before buying the next product from that developer. No one will listen to any of us, however if enough influential people pool their voices then maybe something will get through. Using social media may help, but only if you can annoy the influential people who are out there enough to have them push your agenda, if for no other reason to make you stop.

Clearly that's unacceptable. There's a schedule to maintain!
The contractor thing was a metaphor bub. One I knew Shmiggs could relate too considering his career. Is PD obligates to me? No, but I'm also not obligated to keep my mouth shut about disliking them playing us. If your happy work paying full price for half the game, all the bugs, and no communication. Fine. I'm not. But I'm not telling you to not be fine with it. I'm just stating my opinion on the matter.
As far as the new thread, that's cheeb and zeros call. But I am certain once we get some more interest, it will likely happen. In the mean time, this is snail headquarters. We discuss so much more than just gt6 racing here. Should we stop that and start a general snail conversation thread as well? Should we all just shut up and only be here to pick combos and see results?

I see this as a GT6 thread in the GT6 section of GTPlanet. Then I see certain people trying to get others to quite this game and move to a different game.

This is a SNAIL GT6 League thread. If you post a SNAIL IRacing thread over there you will probably get a bunch of takers. If you are so interested in having some sort of IRacing presence here, just put a link on the first page saying something like "Get your IRacing fix here for the same high quality racing you expect from SNAIL".

But goodness, we get it, you think GT6 is broken and IRacing is great. But dang enough is enough.

Editing...

This is just another good reason to have a SNAIL forum on our own site. We could have the IRacing section for all the IRacing guys.

But right now, this a GT6 section inside a GT6 Online Racing section.

I think the biggest thing PD can take away from this whole situation, and it seems every game developer should listen in, is that you shouldn't put dates on things you aren't 100% sure you can make.

People are "mad" because we were told we would have things in a certain time frame and haven't gotten them. Is that such a huge deal? No. But when you have a feature in the game that says it will unlock January 1st, and you don't get around to addressing its delay until two weeks after that date, you're gonna have a bad time.

TLDR: Developers: We are fine with you telling us "Soon" but when you put a date on something, miss it, and then start radio silence, don't be surprised when people are irritated.

Hi all, are you still accepting members? I would love to join in on the fun. psn: xpiratenationx
Hey Mark @Skills will be along shortly with the welcome message. In the mean time, check out the first post of this thread for all the pertinent info.

I have been watching this picking process for about the last hour and I, being a noob, did not know for sure what was going on. Was there a point at which the finalists were done picking, and how would I know that? Where is the lists of finalists (and what is a finalist?) A finalist at last week's race? or is a part of the season completed and there are finalists for that? I watched as my racing number was taken, and, oh well, no big deal... but can someone give me some context for this? Please be kind, it is only my first week after my first race weekend. thanks
