Does your current computer have an HDMI out? If so, all you need to connect to your TV is HDMI, power, and ethernet.
You can definitely build a machine for iRacing for much less than $800. I bet I could price something out at less than $500.
Nope. Dual DVI only. It's about a 6 year old build. You get special pricing somewhere Dabney? What would that $500 include? Doesn't really matter, I can't justify it at $500.00 either, even if it is near the price of a new gen console. Not with the cost of iRacing by itself. I'm not all that jazzed about the PS4's online subscription requirement either, but with that cost, you get more than just GT7 online capability, so, I might could justify that expense as well. I don't make 6 figures a year, so have to get what I can with what disposable income I do have.

@TEX36 This is your final friendly reminder to please adjust your pick post to remove the top line so it looks proper in the post. You have 5 minutes to reply (11:22 eastern).
I agree to the terms and conditions, and I am ready to make my picks
Rally, you're not a client, you're a consumer. One of millions.. so unless you have some sort of direct contract with PD to have a product that meets a specific requirements list, you're SOL buddy..A, we are here for and because of gt6. Of course we are here for snail and the comradery. But this is a gt league, on a gt site, soooo right here in this moment, no there isn't more important things. We aren't here to solve world hunger. We are here to play and discuss SNAIL, GT, and GTPlanet, with a few adlibs here and there.
As for the last part. Idk about you, but I bought a game on the premise that certain things were going to be done on a certain time frame. In not looking for perfection, but I am expecting professionalism. Maybe it's ok to be late in the construction business? Or would the client get pissed if you promised them that you would get to certain milestones, feel behind in your work, had to reschedule everything, delay all sorts of crap, and not communicate with them about it at all. And then, when you finally get tired of hearing them complain, you say, hey look, we got you three toilets to play with, be happy. Get real. That client would kick your ass off the work site and hire new contractors. I could deal with all of it, grudgingly of course, but I could deal, if they would communicate. But why should they? They got your money and you defending their bad business practices, ps3 is on its last leg and they are already well into developing gt7. I got a feeling gt6 wasnt worth the effort in the end, so they probably pulled lots of resources from it for developing gt7. If so, fine. Just communicate.
Clearly that's unacceptable. There's a schedule to maintain!Sorry I was busy until a moment ago. DUH
What times are you getting in the jr?
Wow I am not feeling as pathetic as I thought. Ran a 1:08.8 with more on the table Are you sure you were on the right tires1:08.2 with more on the table.

Since we seem to be in experimenting mode, I had a thought or two on the tire debate,
How about we try this;
Current Tire spec is;
Tire Restrictions: (based on Dealership PP)
Street Cars
below 450 PP -> Sports Hards
450-499 PP ---> Sports Mediums
500 PP & up --> Sports Softs
Race Cars
below 600 PP -> Racing Hards
600 PP & up --> Racing Mediums
Tuner Cars
Classified as either Street or Race cars based on this list
Change it to;

450-499 PP ---> Sports Hards

Race Cars

It's only a one grade difference. I'm categorically against racing anything on comfort tires, but, to find a middle ground for the folks that want more slidier cars, that supposedly help you improve your car control, which I can't really argue with much, since, when I was doing my practice sessions this time last year, I would customarily run a tire spec one grade lower, for a full race length, before putting on the spec tires and giving them hell, I'd be willing to make this change. I don't think this will improve side by side racing, especially with those of us that are less skilled than others, but, if everyone makes an earnest effort to drive with them, it should have benefits down the road.
Your time has expired.
Damn you've put me on the spot lol
BY NO MEANS AM I TRYING TO SAY YOU SHOULD BE A LOT SLOWER THAN ME Jobyone
There's not much to be gained once you know the line and when to lift off the gas. That's why I think this combo is meh. It might be a different story in a race since everyone will be running similar times. But driving-wise it is not as rewarding as any other combo will be due to a car that we don't even know what the drivetrain is lol.

Yea when the car is pretty much flat out through every turn you just need to learn to trust the car. I like the Jr alot to drive. Reminds me of the GTI Touring car. Lap times will be a lot closer than most combos but passing opportunities will be a challenge unless mistakes are made.Damn you've put me on the spot lol

I like it. What do you think of the following additions:
Tire Restrictions: (based on Dealership PP)
Street Cars
below 450 PP -> Comfort Softs
450-499 PP ---> Sports Hards
500 PP & up --> Sports Mediums
600 PP & up --> Sports Softs
Race Cars
below 600 PP -> Sports Softs
600 PP & up --> Racing Hards
700 PP & up --> Racing Mediums
Tuner Cars
Classified as either Street or Race cars based on this list
There are only a few cars those additions would effect, and they're all currently too expensive for SNAIL. Even though I really do enjoy, say, the McLaren F1 on SH/SM tires, it's still quite lively on SS. I also see no problem with running LMP cars on RM if we ever do end up running one.
I'm fine with just leaving it as you wrote as well, @Dragonwhisky. I actually like the "slidier" (I'm stealing that word) cars. I just thought it might be appropriate to consider some of the more overpowered cars in the game with an eye to what makes them drivable for all divisions.
Edit: Also, for the sake of @kcheeb's data continuity, if/when we do make a change, I think it should only apply to future car selections.
