Old faithful and reliable, standing by in my garage. Got it off the show room floor in '97 with 4.5 dealer check out miles on it. It ain't a hot rod, but it'll still haul my older n fatter behind down the road at faster than is altogether healthy. Has over 35K on the odometer and been through one salvage title process when I ran over a small log a couple years ago and bent both wheels. OEM replacements were more than the insurance company's assessed value, so they totaled it. I kept the bike, got rims through ebay, had them painted, new rubber put on 'em, and a jet kit installed with the settlement. Only one other person has ever been in the pilot seat with it motating down the road, and after the first time he did, he replaced his Honda 600 with one.

Since we were on the subject anyway.

I am back!!! Thank you for not blowing up the thread to much. And it seems nothing to big has changed just a few things. And I will definatly be racing tomorrow.

1200 Bandit is no slouch with the old 1100 Gsxr engine in there. Tuned for midrange that thing is bulletproof. Looks like a Corbin seat (or facsimile thereof) for a comfortable ride.

So far as I know it's a Corbin seat. I just added those "Butt Buffers" a couple weeks ago. A Corbin seat it may be, but I wouldn't say it's comfortable, at least not for a passenger. Got the seat a few years ago so the wife had something to lean back against on longer rides. The back rest was really the only reason we bought it.

As to that motor. The stone stock tune had a serious kick at about 3800 revs. I got used to it over the years and it was my indicator, if I didn't do something different, pretty quick, I was gonna' be movin' a mite bit faster than the local constabulary find acceptable. The jet kit has cured almost all of that out of it. Not sure if I like it or not, but since I don't ride it nearly as hard as I used to, it's not really an issue.

Oh man. I bought a '81 GS750E back in 82 and I lusted after that 1100 while I rode the 750 for a year or so. That 750 took me from California to Ohio and back the first summer I owned it.

This isn't the one I owned. It came out second best in fight with a guard rail on the ramp from I5 to I10 in LA in the summer of '83. Circled and highlighted.

I would share my bike, ('79 DT100) But it's in a lot of little pieces... some of those pieces being what's left of a piston, and an oddly shaped con rod... :(

Like my old bike but not my pic. I had the 87 Magna VF700. Took a very long straight but I got it up to 145 mph before common sense kicked in. I miss my bike...

My first road bike ( again not my pic). The engine was basically the 900 Ninja with the 2 end cylinders dropped off. If and when I get another ride it's going to be a Harley.

The 80s katana was what make me want to get a road bike in the first place. That was definitely a cool bike.

That pic is the EN500 Eliminator. You are referring to theZL900 Eliminator. Which was fsst in a straight line but downright scary in a corner and godawfully uncomfortable. I owned one for s short period of time :)

The solid rear wheeled Magna was a rare bird. It was quick but the only way it would hit 145 was off a cliff :) It had worse aerodynamics than a brick wall and less power than a '85 700 Interceptor...which had better aero and also would not hit 145 :)

I kicked down the passenger pegs and once I got it into top gear i kicked my feet back on 'em and laid down over the tank.I just kept the throttle wide open. It eventually did it. Did take a long time and a very long stretch of straight road. :)

Wouldn't it be cool if PD would release a new version of Tourist Trophy (if anyone remembers that game)
I think a snail motorcycle racing division would be awesome!!!

That was 2006.. imagine what they could do now. I'd be very happy if they did.

Flash back to present, this is the MV Agusta Rivale 800 (triple)
