You have to drive like a bat out of hell lol but consistentcy plays a big role make every move count

Congrats man dont you just love that unexpected lap lol its not too hard to find time to shave off but it is slighty challenging. Just gotta work at it and take one corner at a time, i was running 2:00 flat and im down to 1:58.5's now fastest lap. Sitting at about 1:58.9's comfortably.

I'm in a good mood right now and you mentioned a technical issue on your end. Louts from last week at Daytona SS. Art Morrison vette at Spa. Same Nissan at Suzuka.

It's a different set of skills to race in the draft. If you don't believe me or you don't have those skills, I suggest you stay out of the way on Sunday night to avoid turning yourself into a hazard on the track for those that do have those skills..

I never said it's easy and you don't need skills. I'm merely pointing out that it's not the most exciting type of race. You need a dance partner in the race. You lose your dance partner and you pretty much done for the race. In practice tonight my dance partner got taken out by someone else. The 4 guys in front had dance partners and they were doing 55.8's. I did 10 laps ranging between 56.1 and 56.6. All 10 laps within fractions of each other. But since I had no one close to me I had no change of drafting to try and catch the front runners.

As some of you know and as some of you have experienced...my internet WAS flaky. And it seemed to be getting worse and worse. So...I called Mr. Repairman who came out and found a line fault that had existed since last winter but had not become a total PITA until last week when after a three week layoff to get my bod realigned (LOL) I got DCd from a very important (to me) race (during qually) that I had practiced for over the last two months. If I had not gotten pissed and called the tech I'd still be DCing all over the place.

Record since the line fault was diagnosed... 2 WRS 1.5 hour races (one on a UK server) and tonight a 90 minute Sports Car race (two others DCd but I never had a lag or even a flicker). The point is...DO NOT GIVE UP. Upgrade your service if you can afford to and call the experts. Also a change of provider has been known to work wonders.

The Servers are junk... but that is a constant...have the best you can get on your end. You can control your end...you can't control the other.

In order for us to help you with this, you may need to provide us with some more information. First is to get speedtest.net and pingtest.net results posted, to servers as far away as you can get and still be in North America. We may also need to know your local area network setup information as well. Is your PS3 wired or wireless? Is it connected behind a firewall, direct to your router, or direct to your modem?

I have a hardwired, broadband connection with a Motorola Surfboard router/modem. Direct connection.

Nat 2 PS3 connection

I'll have a 300/50 mbps in October.


Local 50 miles


North West Coast 750 miles


North Mid Country 1700 miles


South Mid Country 1200 miles


North East 2700 miles


Mid Atlantic 2300 miles


South East 2200 miles


Ontario, Canada


Calgary, Canada


Monterrey, Mexico


You want to have the most, 100 Ping, B Line Quality, to have a good gaming connection. You also want to make sure that you have a Nat 2 connection in your PS3. You can check that by going to the settings - Internet Settings, in your PS3.

I've never had issues and keep an ethernet cable connected and snaked through my entire house to the router downstairs. I'll check that I have a Nat2 connection though. I guess it couldn't hurt?

I would go to Speedtest and Pingtest from your phone.

I am a big proponent of having a hardwire connection. Not only does a bad connection effect that person but it also effects others. If anyone has a Nat 3 connection, you are going to have issues.
