Close walls is the main reason. The car this time didn't make it any easier, but not too hard. Suzuka is a nice track that has a bit of everything. It was built to be Honda's test track so that makes sense. It's a bit long so number of laps is less but it can be a lot of fun while still being demanding. I voted off The Z4 at Suzuka because the car is too jittery no matter what. It's been like that everywhere so I feel it's the car not the track. Most spots it's okay but it's a really tough car.

Okay.

I have to change my number. I don't really have any numbers that hold personal significance. 9 is from being born on November 9th, but that's all I've got and now I'm in the same division with Coach so I need to change it.

I was thinking 6 for GT6 but I don't know. I could do 11 for November or 88 for 1988 but I don't like two of the same number side by side. Two 1s, two 8s, it looks weird. What numbers do you think might fit me?

13.

13 used to be considered a lucky number though I see what you're getting at LOL It's also taken already in Division 4 so I can't use it anyway. I like 27 as the iconic Ferrari number, but I can't use that on Mondays because that's Nail's number. I guess I can use 27 for Sunday and 9 on Monday since Coach isn't there. Is that okay? I'll use the iconic 27 with iconic Rossa Corsa (Ferrari Red)?

Go for 27...it was one of three tactical callsigns I used in SEA....and....you are not forced to use your SNAIL callsign in the PACK. Also it was Giles Villeneuve's number....

Is Stage 5 to challenging? Why is it that every time the Stage 5 track come up so many people vote it off no matter what the vehicle is? Is it because people can't get pushed off the track? You can still spinout and make mistakes. Yes, there are few spots to pass, it calls for some close racing and not many places to go full throttle, but it's still a race track. Meanwhile, tracks that come up a lot like Suzuka and many others always stay around. I'm just looking for some explanations for the votes off all the time.

While I must admit it has been a while, night tracks have always been polarising. SSR5 and it's sibling the Clubman course combinations have always been found with mixed receipt. The walls have a certain psychological impact like some other tracks, but I'm most inclined to perceive the lighting as represented during nighttime that exists with this track as the greater challenge to most. I enjoy the track myself, and feel it teaches discipline in several areas that are difficult to replicate with a natural course. It is a good pairing, in my opinion, but to my discredit I also feel the Triumph at London was one of the best I've seen in a while.

WHAT!?! But blue is "your color", you would always be blue (da ba dee da ba di) no matter what ...you said so (at least 3143 times...I counted).

If the penguin is not blue...then I will have to question and re-evaluate my entire understanding of the universe.

P.S. - You could always go back to 96 since I am no longer in your division there is no conflict (you are a longer term member anyway so you would have gotten first choice anyway)

It's not just SSR or London. It seems to be the city courses in general. Tokyo usually has a better chance than the others. It could be the walls or it could be any of the other reasons that probably number right up there with the number of members we have racing.

I don't know what it is but the membership of SNAIL has never cared for street circuits and / or lower powered cars even if they do produce the closest racing of the night.

I think Tokyo does much better because it's wider and races like a circuit. I see Tokyo as Silverstone with walls.

As far as slow cars go... I have no idea. I enjoy slower cars. Maybe I'm biased, I typically have always done well with low power cars in SNAIL.. The Marcos, the Cap, the Elan... yeah, I enjoyed all those

Too bad the practice night was spent trying to solve the "invisible car" issue. Nice to have Wolf back and to see other old friends.

FYI

I have my PS4 and Project Cars now but no wheel. There has been some discussion on another thread about building an adapter to make the other wheels work and a couple of guys have had success, with everything working.
@nmcp1 has mentioned this in a past thread. We both have parts on order, I believe he is going to go through his pc (correct me if I'm wrong). I don't have a pc close by and don't want to take my laptop with me each time I race. I am going to run my adapter through a Raspberry Pi. The entire unit should end up being no bigger than a smart phone. Already have a Pi so total parts is costing $25. You can get Pi's for less than $30 on ebay. I will post results here.
It will sure beat having to buy a new wheel. If it doesn't end up working, I don't mind being out the $25 and a chance of being able to give Logitech and Sony the you know what!
