Wow, the whole story! Nice.

I need to learn how to keep the cars in the asphalt... going in the right way! BTW, I blame on my Fanatec wheel ;)! No, seriously, any one with CSR elite that could give me a hint on the setup. Just starting in the SPORT (3 weeks now) and I felt easier to drive with the G27, first wheel I've tried, than with the CSR. But the CSR still feels closer to reality...

I get this right and I might be chasing the angry guys in D3 :nervous:... I might stay in D4.

Oh, for the D4 host, I won't be able to race next weekend:grumpy:

Cheers.

What are you talking about, "angry guys in D3" ?

Also, you really don't need to quote entire posts of pictures.

Here's how I have my CSR Elite set up.

Sen - 540 - you could try 450, 900 is waaayyy too much :)
FF - 40% - much more than that and I wouldn't last 3 laps.

I'll post the rest of my set up a little later. Not near it at them moment.

I run;
Sen:900
FF:80

But I have the regular csr.

I when I was using the GT2 I had FF up high, when I switched to the CSR Elite it was way too much. It's amazing how strong it can be.

I cut my teeth driving in F1 2010, using 900 didn't work. I got used to small movements to turn and went with 270 up until about a month ago

Feels much better playing GT5 like that.

Chiochan ... we have a problem ! I don't see you anywhere in any of the races I was in nor do you show up in any of the replays. I've checked the Live Timing boards and gone over the listing in the upper right corner of the screen. My screen shows 14 drivers in the first race, then 13 in the second as Kuulkrinne didn't have an RM mod made and then 13 in the last race as MillerHD disappeared at some point (at least I think it was him). In any case, hard to make you look good when I don't see you ? Am I missing something here :dunce:
Got kicked, network problem could not re join

I wish I could configure the G27 in GT5 to 270 for F1 cars. It takes me a few laps to switch between GT5 and F1 2011.

No doubt, I bought F1 2011 but it was so different I didn't spend the time with it and then I got hooked on GT5.

Slightly off topic but... I personally loath Facebook but I must keep it alive because of the family and all. For those that use facebutt, I highly recommend having a look at what Falken Tire is up to. Pure... Automotive... Porn!!! Real life GT5 stuff! (So nasty!!) I thought there would be a few gearheads here that would really enjoy what they have going on!

That's awesome.

And it also gives me an idea. When we do Magic Lap of Fridays, I highly recommend either turning off the map or reducing it to a very zoomed in level, so you can't tell where everyone else is until they're right near you. I feel like that adds a lot to the experience.

I personally usually have the full map, so I have an idea of where everyone is and how fast they're closing, and I really think that takes away some of the excitement. I'll be sure to change that this Friday.

I'll make it short and sweet this week:

There were no/zilch/zero protests made this week. Apparently we all drive cleaner than a couple of deserters seem to think!

Therefore, the results in this post are completely accurate from start to finish.

Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone for racing cleanly!

(To anyone who didn't; you got lucky this week, bub.)

With that in mind let me make my Choice. While I actually enjoyed driving the Camaro 69 RM i must say it did not feel like a very challenging car on those tires (not trying to start and argument) and it did not stir the sole. So I am currently breaking in a Honda Civic Type R 08 (at Laguna Seca no less) :) I hope there are not to many FF haters but seems like a bit of a change might be fun:)

I guess I shall announce my choice as well, which is the Ford GT at Rome Reverse.

I spent some time testing a few combos earlier today, and this is the one I liked the most. The Ford GT is a lot more stable than the 458, so if you guys could handle the Ferrari you can handle the Ford ;) Rome Reverse brings a change in scenery, as looking at the previous tracks we've run on it's been a while since we've done a street track. The track has it's technical sections, but there are two long straights followed by heavy braking zones which will (hopefully) produce overtaking opportunities.

As you can see I have put some thought into this. I'm hoping it produces some fun racing, but if it doesn't feel free to vote it off next week

There's even one spot where 4-wide is possible. Love it 👍

If the chance comes up, the DB9 at Grand Valley Reverse was a great race. I just finished one in a public room and that car is a load of fun on that track. It has enough power in reserve to use the long straight and handles very nicely.

Just a warning to everyone going in to GT Auto to paint your new Ford GT...

Depending on your colour choice the racing stripes will appear no matter what!!! I wasted a few good paint chips figuring this out the hard way.

1st GT - Thought colour and stripes didn't matter since my paint would cover it all, wrong, the stripes stayed.

2nd GT - Tried the silver stripes since I didn't like the bright white, but it looked the same to me.

3rd GT - Tried buying a solid red without racing stripes, after paint the white stripes showed up automatically :ouch:

That why I picked white(ish) for my colour, no need to paint :D

Are these vehicles/track official? I've already gone shopping!

Not sure why the RM Camaro got so much dislike, I actually enjoyed the car. The obvious down side is the short gear set, but apart from that it was OK. Maybe it just really suited my driving style :dopey:

What FF do you set in the game?

Thanks. I'll try the different sensitivity sets.

I'm pretty sure two have set a record for the fastest Prize A and B selections ever!! I don't think we've ever had both picks in by Monday night before! THANK YOU!! :D

SNAILs, everyone should have plenty of time to have your Bobs break-in both of the new cars in time for Wednesday night's practice races. 👍

As always, the second post has been updated with the latest lineup.

Hey, I can't remember off the top of my head. It's been so long since I've been in there.

I'll check tonight and get you the other settings, although most are default.

Some of the fun from last Sunday's Division 4 is shown in my latest video now up and running on You Tube. I didn't have all the replays saved so I just grabbed whatever footage I could that showed some of the fun and close action. Also, since the races ended here at 12:15am I didn't want to spend too much time searching for the absolute perfect shot as you guys know how long it takes to watch a replay from everyone's perspective. As it was, it took me to 5am before I finished the edit and it takes me 12 hours to upload a 1.5 Gig video :scared:

Note: the video looks much better if you take the time to let one of the HD settings buffer :)

Just a suggestion, can you guys not quote the picture posts so that way if people are trying to read something? That way they don't get repeatedly shot up the thread by the loaded pictures.
