I have all cars broken in. Send me FR if you need it for Wednesday night practice.

I have the Ford swapped over, and I should have the Z as well. If you can throw the other one my way, thanks, but if not, I am not sure how much difference it will make (for me, sorta...), but I aspire to improve!

Ran about ten laps with all the cars for this sunday so far, gotta say that ford is fun to drive, but if you underestimate any braking at all your smackin a wall lol. Working on the mazda now, can't seem to get used to that car. Hopefully my wheel comes by wednesday so I can get some time in on that.

Nissan rather, for whatever reason when I use a 350z i think of an rx-8 lol. My best lap so far is in the 2:14's, pretty horrible, but last week I was in the 2:16-18 range so I am gettin better I suppose.

First time ever I have my cars ready by Tuesday.

...and just found out I will be out of town Sunday night and possibly the next Sunday. :irked:

Me thinks Mr. Murphy had something to do with that, doh.

For the Record ..... my official color will be zee French Blue with White wheels. I do not like this color and that is why I have chosen it :)

Explanation ... because I do not like it, there is not another car in the garage painted that color. Makes it real easy to find my "untuned" cars this way if I'm in a hurry :)

You should have seen the big manure eatin' smile on Air-Biscuit Bob's face when I had him park his keister in the Ford for this weeks break-in duties!!:dopey: The GT and Rome are going to be a real challenge with a large grid but man I just can't wait!!

Oh, and Handlebar, if you can post a list of things you need to get your GT5 house back in order I am willing to help as well. (Cars, paint etc...)

My bobs were looking forward to it as well....until they found out they were breaking it in by doing the American challenge thing at Indy a few times and were the slowest thing out there

I think I made it up to them by doing one of the b-spec seasonals (the 650pp at Nords) and managed to snag third going down the long straight on the final lap but it was difficult to tell his mood since he was wearing his Stig suit :/

Practicing in D1 right now.

zer0. When you find the time could you turn chat back on in there. It's quiet and sad, now.

Hey all. I'd like to formally introduce myself to my new fellow s.n.a.i.l. members. I'm new to racing online with other people but not at all new to gran turismo. At the risk of sounding stupid, I have to ask what you guys mean by "breaking in a car". Is it just practice practice practice with the car? Or is it some other process entirely?

Until you run the car 200 miles & change the oil you will not be at max hp. In spec racing where everyone has the same equipment it is crucial to have your cars "broke in". We're talking 20 hp range difference. Most of us use B-spec Endurance 200 miles @ Laguna Seca. After the race change the oil or rebuild your motor/chassis & you're set.

I have my Bob to level 25 now. Started the new account yesterday. I should be able to burn in new cars no problem. Joe, thank you very much for the help!

I took a few minutes and ran both the new cars. They were completely broken in (thanks bob!), oil freshened and tyres set to spec.

The GT 06' is a lot of fun to drive. Very neutral and quite rewarding when driven with the appropriate respect. Rome is a good flowing track, although this was the first time I tried it reversed (that I remember...). My question is what is the SNAIL record on city tracks? There are a couple of "funnel" corners here and it seems like it could get hairy, especially on the first lap. This event is going to require a LOT of respect, especially on the reverse grid race (remember it is the last event when we are all tired :D). Tire wear is not at all bad, so this one should be about 10 laps, in my opinion (it's a short lap).

The Civic is OK, but man does it make Laguana feel loooooong :ill: It's only 10 seconds slower than the RM Camaro, but it feels like a week slower. The great news is that it does not run out of revs :) Any more than 6 laps and this one will feel like an enduro.

I'll look for lobbies to practice with you guys on Thurs/Fri. Would somebody please add me to the D1 room, as I see there is a good bit of practice goes on there (and any other rooms frequented for practice :)).

Put all your bobs online tonight and I'll bspec grind them and make you some money overnight!
