Some of the fun from last Sunday's Division 4 is shown in my latest video now up and running on You Tube. I didn't have all the replays saved so I just grabbed whatever footage I could that showed some of the fun and close action. Also, since the races ended here at 12:15am I didn't want to spend too much time searching for the absolute perfect shot as you guys know how long it takes to watch a replay from everyone's perspective. As it was, it took me to 5am before I finished the edit and it takes me 12 hours to upload a 1.5 Gig video :scared:

How do you go about putting GT5 replays on the PC? Do you absolutely have to have a HDMI splitter & capture card?

I use an Hauppage HD-PVR Capture box.

I run my component outputs from my PS3 or XBox through it and to my Amp. The HD-PVR Capture Box is connected to my PC via a USB connection. The software runs on my PC and captures all the video being run on whatever device is running through the box.

Not sure why the RM Camaro got so much dislike, I actually enjoyed the car. The obvious down side is the short gear set, but apart from that it was OK. Maybe it just really suited my driving style :dopey:

Don't get me wrong I liked the RM Camaro. It did what I asked of it and was a good companion. But with that gearing it would not work on many tracks:( If only we could adjust that gearing;)

I don't have the luxury of a capture card :) I put my HD camera on a tripod and just record the screen images from across the room. Pretty primitive I know but it's somewhat adequate for what I'm trying to do. It was late at night and my eyes were tired so I sometimes don't get the image perfectly squared on the screen. It's hard to center everything with the tiny little viewfinder and even when it looks perfect, it usually isn't :)

Note added ..... I have been making these kinds of videos for quite some time and I have noticed an "annomoly" of sorts for those who may be interested. Years ago, most HD tvs ran at 60 Hz and as the technology evolved, they have jumped to 120 Hz and greater I believe. This frequency (unseen by the naked eye) is picked up by my camera lens. The older 60 Hz tv, when videoed with this method produced an image almost as clear as a caption card. The newer 120 Hz set I have now produces (as you can see) a slightly blurry image by comparison. I've also noticed a difference in image resolution between the LCD and the LED that I have.

Ok, but what im asking is there anyway to do it without a PVR/capture card? a program or solution to the pc not recognizing the video files from the ps3.

EDIT; If i go AFND's way, i only have access to HD digital still camera(never tried video on it, i'll see how that looks)

Not that I'm aware of. Time for some googling :)

EDIT: Found this on GTPlanet. The replays are just instructions that only GT5's replay utility can use :(

Note: the video looks much better if you take the time to let one of the HD settings buffer :)

Awesome video!! Thanks for putting that together! If you don't mind, I've linked your video on the lineup post. :D

cheeb, if you're still taking nominations for your promotional video, I nominate the "corkscrew pass" that #45 did on #13 at ~9:45 into the video. I wish I knew who was driving both of those cars, but those numbers haven't been reserved on the Color/Number list.. :odd:

I'm sorry to announce but I have to leave the league. I simply haven't been able to participate at my best lately because the only practice I have been getting is on Sunday night before the race. Work and school are kind of taking over my life and I barely have any time for gaming. I wish you all the best, and I thank you all for the great times I had here!

I don't recall reading any posts from anyone I have down as being in D4 saying they want those numbers either. Of course, the thread moves mighty quickly so I could have missed them, but the easiest thing would be to PM me.

I can take credit for being the #13 "passee" at the corkscrew. I don't know who is driving the #45 but the gentle little tap he gave me got me just loose enough to have to lift which allowed him past. I know it wasn't intentional and I know that corner can have bizarre physics sometimes and I know there may have been a slight lag occur so no problem as far as I'm concerned. Looks good on the video for sure :)

I guess, for the record, since my beloved traditional #17 is already taken, I will settle for my second choice and become #13 officially :) (at least while I remain in Div.4)

Jebus. Suddenly everyone wants my number.

Why not #6 for the number of years he led the league in completions or #85 for Mark Duper? (Mark Clayton's #83 is already taken.)

I like my #13 and have no particular affiliation to any other number…

I am still having difficulty recovering the "Handlebar-Man" account on PSN, and my son's account.

My master account is working, so I will use that to supply what I hope is a temporary account to keep up in SNAIL.

Temporary PSN ID: Handlebarmustash

I sent FRequests to zero, and div 1,3,5. If you want to send a request to that ID, and drop Handlebar-Man until it is recovered, that works for me, for now.

I am getting a GT burned in to dupe over, but I should be able to run some later.

Hey Handlebar, if you need any help with cars, let me know. More than happy to help out!

I had to ask. Didn't mean to push any buttons.

At least he didn't tell you to take 0 for the number of Super Bowls Marino won. That would have been really uncalled for.

Good point, Bowler!

It was just highly odd that two posts in a row asked for #13 after several months of nobody else wanting it.

I'm using my phone and didn't see the other post. Is 17 available in d3?

Edit...It's a team sport. Inferior qbs have won Superbowls. Very few were as exciting to watch.

Looks like 17 is available in d3. I would like that to be my number please.

Yes, please, especially if it is broken in. I should have the Ford done soon, but I am working with daughter on a painting project for another little bit.

ANFD: great video!
