Just got a PM about Sunday.

As I said, I will not be able to race as I will be at Lime Rock Park watching real racing :D (Not that S.N.A.I.L. isn't real racing... ah, you know what I mean)

Is Zer0 the only one with a second PS3? If we have enough we could get an extra in each room to park a truck in the way so no one forgets.

I don't have a tank car, but I could park my GT-R Pace Car (with its flashing lights) in front of Turn 6. 💡

That being said, it'll be more important to do this during qualifying than during the actual race. After all, the races are records so drivers who don't use the chicane (or shortcut it in any way) would get caught pretty easily. Since qualifying is not, we could probably split qualifying into two 5-minute sessions. During Qualifying Session #1, Group A qualifies, while Group B lines their cars up to block the track and grassy area between the track and the motorcycle chicane. During Qualifying Session #2, the two groups simply switch it up.

I guess an easier solution would be to just have someone watch qualifying, but it seems unfair to ask one or two people to sacrifice a portion of their qualifying session while everyone gets the full 10 minutes. I do think splitting the session into two sessions is doable though since the track is short and four or five qualifying laps for each driver should be more than enough. 👍

I think doing something like this would be doable since the track is short and four or five qualifying laps for each driver should be more than enough. 👍

Excellent idea. The WRS qualifies in two groups for this reason (clean laps), but we only get 2 flying laps there. Limiting it to 3 here would make it even and not change things too much!

Thanks guys, I'm glad we're on the same page. I added more to my post after you guys replied to it, but it seems like you two don't need any more convincing. :)

Thanks for making your Prize A selection. Excellent choice on the car. It's hard to believe that an Evo hasn't been on the lineup since last year (before this thread even existed)!!

As for the track, we raced Tsukuba for four straight weeks back in May and June. With that in mind, is there any chance you'd be willing to go with Tsukuba Circuit's MotoGP configuration? It's the same track, but we'd just require everyone to use the motorcycle chicane between turns 5 and 6. :D

I think using that chicane would totally change the experience and not make it seem like we were just there. Plus, I've been wanting to use that track configuration at some point anyways. Let me know what you think!

I would love to try that section out!👍 That would make that track alot more interesting , for sure;)

Good call , zer0!

So far as I know I will be available Sunday night for snail. Would hate to miss my debut weekend anyway.

Have plans for f10 event firmed up yet?

Wait a minute... We're running formula cars this sunday?

Not Sunday night, but I will be hosting a 44 lap F10 race at Spa Saturday. Probably at 10 am. I'll decide by tomorrow.

Zero,
Requesting access to D1 and D3; according to the calendar D2 and D3 are being used tonight for some activities?

TUESDAY
SNAIL_Division2 Lounge: SNAIL Tuning and Team Series II
SNAIL_Division3 Lounge: SNAIL Tuning and Team Series II

Apmaddock, Jobyone, KuulKrine & whoever wants to join in...
Are you guys up for some Nurb laps with the Beemer or NSX? :dopey:

I just accepted your FR's. Thanks for sending them to me instead of waiting for me to send them to you. That makes if much easier on me! :D

As for tonight, the D2 and D3 lounges are most definitely being used tonight! Please do not enter those lounges tonight unless you've already signed up for STaTS. They have two different car classes (SC and GT) so half of them will be racing in the D2 lounge and the other half will be racing int the D3 lounge.

P.S. Your new avatar rocks!!

Keep in mind that I'm just suggesting that we use the motorcycle chicane, I'm not saying that we're going to. I thought it would be a great way to change up the track since we we just there so recently (and for four weeks straight). However, Jazz is the the Prize A winner, not me. Therefore, the final decision is his to make. 👍

Of course we can, I'm glad you suggested it.

Thanks.. I am hoping that no one else is using the Turbo SNAIL; STaTS sounds interesting and that is the type of racing I am more used to racing with tuned cars; I may request to join :sly:

So, I will be using D1 for some casual racing if anyone not in STaTS wants to join in. I will be in around 9:30 EST; hoping to see a few of your there.

If my Friend Request are accepted tonight, I'll race with ya in D1 at 9:00 pm E.S.T.

Just got home... I am in for Sunday night league races (Or whatever Monkeyshines that could replace standard racing due to holiday!)

with weather?💡

No weather. It was mentioned before and was determined that the different divisions would end up racing in different conditions so any comparison for the purpose of promotion and relegation would be worthless with weather enabled.

I know there was a longer, more though out explaination but that's my version of it.

If you have the car already we can do some practice laps at Spa tomorrow.

Sounds great, but my Principal probably will deem that not "work related" is my guess...

This is the next month (or is it 6-8 months?) that my thinking and planning cortex get a little frazzled... just got home from work.
