Yup, it was Gumball's pick and I really enjoyed it as well. I think it was the most fun out of the three tonight. In actuality, I heard more complaints about the Tesla's engine noise (or lack thereof) than anything else. But I think the lack of more than one gear is what doomed it. :(

The round that received the most elimination votes was:

Therefore it has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since Priest8 wins Prize A, he gets to decide which car and track will replace it.

The round that received the second most votes was:
Round 3 - Aston Martin DB9 Coupe '06 @Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Therefore, either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since A_Higher_Place gets Prize B, he gets to decide which is replaced and what replaces it.

spooble gets Prize C, so he gets any gift car ticket listed here.

It was more fun than I expected, but the lack of shifting is what made me end up disliking it. I discovered this week that I use engine noise frequency to estimate corner entry speed subconsciously. I had some trouble adapting to the sound of the electric motor and the inability to modulate engine braking.

Still, a good choice, based on the racing it produced in D2. 👍
 
I like the Tesla, but I hate Deep Forest Reverse. The NSX is super-fun at Madrid. I could take or leave the Aston.

lol I fell asleep. Sucks I worked really hard on it too, but at least the NSX is staying. I hope monza stays I love that track.

Was a quiet night. But I will try again if I can not make the main races. Was fun running through the combos. I sure missed the racing. I must say I started to like the Tesla:crazy: But I do think I have fallen in love with the NSX I know it has been around for a while but it a great car. DB9 is dependable. I look forward to the new combos.

But still a lot of Phun! I think that D5 needs to enforce a mike check; A lot of comments of 'personal nature' & little cursing in between! Come on guys, enjoy the game.

Not a good impression for 1st time SNAILs.

A lot of 1st lap race craft improvement over all the field is needed!

I apologize for contributing to the unusually negative vibe in D5. Frustration was getting the better of me.
 
I had a power surge in my house about 3 minutes before race 1 started so my night didn't start out great. I was like NOOOOO!!! Plus I had like 6 other things that I couldn't stop thinking about and my driving quality suffered. So I wanted to apologize for quitting early but I was just too far out of my element.

On the subject of the Tesla, I kind of liked it but the lack of engine noise and gears threw me off. I really liked throwing it through the first turn though.

Glad you want to join S.N.A.I.L. 👍 I did see your post last night, but it was late, apologies.

Please read the following:

We run a clean league by enforcing the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and we expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both.

Follow These Steps:
1. I add you to the drivers list as a New S.N.A.I.L. (Done)
2. You run the Time Trial.
3. You Private Message my GTPlanet account with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
4. I assign you to the appropriate Division, to give you the best racing possible.
5. A PSN friend request will be sent from the appropriate SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That is where you race on Sunday night.
6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday :)

The first post has all the rules and regulations for S.N.A.I.L. It is the first place you need to check if you have a question. If it's not answered there, feel free to post your question on the thread.

The second post has the current race lineup for Sunday and is updated weekly.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices in this thread.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all S.N.A.I.L.s to join as many as possible.

Just wondering. I went fishing there once in Sept, and it was Brutally cold. If that's your home base you are hardcore!
 
I do live in Central New York, so I can handle the snow and cold, But that is another level. Caught some smallmouth and panfish but it was so windy and cold we had to go in. We were going to go bear hunting but I didn't want to shoot a bear. Looked like the whole town was getting ready to leave for the winter.
 
Yeah not much happens during the winter here. Town has nothing as it is, just sights to see. Which is why our summers are busy. Just full of young folk like me looking for work and retirees.

In Michigan it can be 100° in the summer and 0° in the winter plus 2 feet of"lake effect" snow. Crazy.

Thank you Great lakes. That sums it up for me also. Kinda sucks cause you have to have so many clothes. The seasons are really cool and we grow good produce though.

It's Zohsix 👍, and I won't be filing a complaint. It's not like you did it on purpose or were being too aggressive. I didn't stand a chance in that race anyway. I had 0 practice, and knowing the braking points is everything on that track. I didn't even get a clean qualifying lap. So don't worry about it too much.
