Skills, my heart goes out to you again. Every time I hear Aurora in the news I pray it's not you and your family.

Thank you. My wife worked with at least one of the women, not sure of all the IDs. I think I may have to move.

Zero I'd willing to help out in D1. My only problem is I use apple devices and the lap top I haven't bothered to fix. As well once race is over. I don't have much time. Single parent of two and 11wk old puppy, 9month old puppy, and 14 yr old dog keeps me pretty tied up outside my allotted time for racing and practices.

Let me know if anything you need can be fit into my situation. :)

Hey Owens, thanks đź‘Ť

How about being D1 Director?

What's needed:

1. Make sure the lounge is set up per S.N.A.I.L. Specs.
2. Ensure Fastest First, Reverse Grid and # or Laps are set up for the appropriate race.
3. Record #1 Qualifier for each Round.
4. Record Race Results for each race. This can be done manually (pencil and paper or iPhone) or by using the Google Doc Directors Spreadsheet (which works for Mac, all you need is a browser).

In D2, I take care of the scoring and either tcrash or JoeW or some other kind soul takes care of changing the settings, I just double check after recording the results.

Typically the Director saves the replays and uploads them to Sugarsync as well. This can be done Monday (the earlier the better). If that's not something you want or have time to do, hopefully someone in D1 can volunteer :)

Does this sound doable?

Ditto. It's unfortunate that things like this still happen in modern society. That city has seen enough bloodshed for a lifetime.

Not to be selfish about the situation, but I have a feeling this will directly affect the gun control situation. Not happy about that either.

Rules
We expect all drivers to follow our OLR Rules and pursue good racecraft at all times. If you're not sure what good racecraft is, watch this video. It can be summed up in one simple 'Golden Rule' of motorsports: It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free. If you don't agree with this rule or don't think it applies to you, this is not the league for you. If you ever feel like a fellow driver in this league is not following the rules, please submit a complaint to our stewards. They will review the incident and the appropriate penalty to the driver in question.

I just want to highlight on this, as it is the foundation of this league. I noticed some new names in the drivers list for this month, and just wanted to make sure everyone is on the same page. While we use a time trial format for division placement, racing on Sunday is very different. You may not be able to take the optimal line every time and will have to be aware of yourself and others around you.

Some tips for better situational awareness are; Turn your map to scale 2-3, this will allow you to glance at that and see how close you are to someone else. Use bumper view, this gives you a huge rear view mirror. Remap the left and right buttons to look left and right, this is useful to quickly see if you have proper overlap before entering a corner.

With that said I am excited to see so many new SNAILS in the tank! Good luck tonight!:)

Thanks for the offer, Owens! While entering the race results on an iPad aren't necessarily as convenient as using a mouse and keyboard, it's definitely doable. If you can PM me your e-mail address, I'll grant you access to the doc and then you can decide for yourself if it's something you're willing to do between the races. It's just a matter of having the Google Doc open and then entering the finishing position next to each driver's name.

cheeb, perhaps we should post a separate "help wanted" ad on the S.N.A.I.L. Classifieds for the D1 video uploader?

As you know, we cross out the ad for the D3 Data Specialist because Goat has accepted the position. Thanks Goat!!

On a side not heres a good laugh. A while ago i was doing a Special Event at Nurburgring in my custom Lambo. Going into the chicane, i pulled the ebrake just to slide through the grass. So as i slid i got air and i hit those boxes that move and it launched me straight up! To me it looks like im at least 100ft in the air. I still have the replay on my flash drive if anyone would like to watch it but heres some pictures.

Thrash, if you want, you can email me that replay in a zip file, and i can post it up on YouTube. I have a similar replay save from a night we did cat and mouse. Two if us went nose to tail into a wall at the bus stop, Daytona, and someone followed in behind, middle car shot off like a rocket. Reminds me of those Mclarens that did back flips at one if the Le Mans races like a decade ago.

1999. Three different flip incidents. Mark Webber flipped twice, once in qualifying and once in warmup, and the other flipped during the race.

is silver car and black wheels open in division 3
I did not see it in the list
Looks like that combo is free. One question Are you going to be running Chrome Silver or just Silver? Also do you have a number preference?

anyone up for some d3 practice
Bug, If you have not already received one ask for a friend request from D1. That is the lobby that most S.N.A.I.L.s have access to. Most practice happens there and you will get a greater turnout. Plus some of the higher Division guys will often help out with some suggestions/lines to improve your time.
