Your point was not completely wrong armedmen. Its just about respect to all 1st. Thats why your point was not best but not bad too.
Well it is with some regret that I must let you know that I will be stepping away from GT5 for a while. I am not sure how long this will last but life just continues to get in the way and for now I need to step back.
Thanks for all the great racing and practice time. And in the words of the T800 "I'll be back"

the2armedmenI thought I was emphasizing respect to all, unless I am just expecting too much out of the snail community (which I don't think I am)
Well it is with some regret that I must let you know that I will be stepping away from GT5 for a while. I am not sure how long this will last but life just continues to get in the way and for now I need to step back. This may only be for a few weeks or a few months but at the moment I will need to relinquish my S.N.A.I.L. responsibilities (stewarding, colors and welcome posts).
Being apart of this group has been a real pleasure and when I return to GT5 the first thing I do will be coming back to S.N.A.I.L. I want to especially thank zer05ive, kcheeb and all the stewards for the work they do. If you have not helped out before I highly suggest that you volunteer some time and pitch in. All the people that volunteer their time to run this league deserve a huge round of applause.
And now to my baby the Performance Cap racing. JoeW and Wolfsatz will work to keep it going in my absence. I will not totally be gone as I will continue to be in the thread and keep the opening posts and schedules going as long as people are wanting to race. But they will take over the running of the Monday and Saturday events.
Thanks for all the great racing and practice time. And in the words of the T800 "I'll be back"

2arm,
I did not realize you were being so literal. Can you think of a situation where humans do not have a bias when they interact with one another? That's kind of a "Gee, no kidding" moment isn't it?
I was referring to the alleged bias by the stewards that I have heard of lately. Again there maybe a little bit, But we go out of our way to be as fair as possible To everyone. It sounds like we are having two different conversations, no worries.
the2armedmenhandlebar and greenthumb you two admitted to being at least somewhat biased. i made my first comment because greenthumb didnt want to complain about one of his friends, and then handleba u followed suit and said u dont like to complain about people who dont get penalties very often (do i need to put quotes?)
Drgreenthumb977I didnt talked about the complaints I didnt do but the feelings and opinions to all about filing a complaint. Im not here since longtime and when i came here in that league. And I just asked all about that. Nothing was worried in my mind about that. I dont want to make my tread a subject of a problem because we have a very good team to work for us.
So, question about boundaries. Are we allowed to go outside the white lines on the front straight of Trial Mountain and after the first chicane? I know there are rumble strips in the chicane itself which serve as the boundaries, but what about before and after them? I saw several people going all the way out to the wall in practice.
And the dashed line off the hairpin at CRN?

This is not official, but you can at your own risk. Those areas do eventually disappear and no one is obligated to give you room to get back on track.
I'm not sure I follow your meaning when you say they "disappear". Are you just saying it's easy to get boxed in out there? Or that it becomes illegal at some point?
No, go down the left side of the track outside the white line right after the chicane and you'll see what I mean.
Pretty sure that dashed line is ob. I kept getting penalties there online.
Hey fellow D2 drivers, I want to apologize for jumping back in the race after I had sat a lap or two. When my ds3 died at the start of the race, then "rebooted" again and I hit a second wall (ya'll didn't see that one), I should have sat out for the remainder. I made a bad decision in that I reentered the race which could have hindered one or more of you. I fell in behind serge to try to learn "his secret" that night at Spa. He mastered that course. After some more frustration, a penalty, etc. I vented with a few doughnuts. That was not the best time or place to vent; I would not suggest it. I apologize for a replay that was less than desirable to watch. And just for the record, I made the decision to stay in the center of the track after my penalty because I thought it was the safest place to be in that section. Coming out of that high speed turn, the line is usually to the left side of the track and I wanted to keep that clear. With cars fast approaching I thought if I just stayed in the center they had time to pick a side rather than react to me moving to one side or the other. I apologize if this threw anyone off, I made the decision that I thought was safest for you.
To the stewards, I just want to say I wasn't "seeking" revenge in regards to an incident in the previous race. I had a "momentary lapse of reason" when I re-entered and then later vented with the doughnuts. Not the time or place, period. Zer05ive has stuck his neck out for me and I want to thank him for that and let you know he did not make a bad decision. I will continue to drive like I have over the past two weeks, less any venting displays.
If I remember right, when we ran Trial Mountain (normal, not reverse) in the past, the white lines on either side of that chicane were ignored. Even if I do remember that right, I don't believe there's an official ruling for the reverse version. I would assume that we would use the same boundaries. If I'm mistaken, someone please speak up. (Edit: Tex, if this differs from what I told you yesterday, I apologize. My opinion on this has evolved a bit in the last 24 hours as I remembered how we ruled on the forward version of this track).
In any case, I believe what dabney says is right. If you're all the way to the left after that chicane (up against the wall), and there's a driver to your right, he only needs to leave you just enough room to keep two wheels on the rumble strip once the wall ends. For this reason, it's best to avoid using that area, and if you end up there, move back quickly to hold your spot (assuming that move wouldn't cause a collision, of course). Again, if I'm wrong about that, someone please correct me.
