First win in D1 tonight since I can't remember when in race two. It might have been before we went to five divisions. I think the last one was the Viper at Indy SS and that was a long time ago. Had to drive way over my head for two laps holding off WorstDriver. I think he took it easy on me becasue I almost wrecked about 10 times in those two laps. I managed to hang on to it and bring home a win.

Races three and four blew chunks and races 5 and 6 were fun. Best night I've had in D1 in a long time as far as having guys to run with. Good racing guys.

To comment on the Toyota, I don't think the Swedes invented memory foam. I think they just asked Toyota what they used for the suspension in the 2000GT and made a matress out of it.

If you believe that another driver exhibited poor racecraft or is guilty of an OLR Rules violation, please file a complaint by 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific on Monday night. You must follow the complaint process precisely or your complaint will not be addressed!! If you're undecided on whether or not you should file a complaint, please read this. Also keep in mind that a race complaint isn't supposed to be an argument. Here are some good tips on how to make sure things stay civil and respectful. 👍

I have a question about points. Is there a steward I can PM about it? It's just a general question...nothing that affects anyone, just something that wasn't covered in the 1st post. I know how asking a question around here comes off to a few as "bitching and complaining" so I'd rather not start the pissing match again. Please let me know who to PM.

Congrats on your win JL, you earned it fair and clean. I was doing everything to get past you but you resisted to the pressure I was giving to you.

I laughed a lot about your comment even though it's true, I think that's what makes the charm of the classic cars (Like the cobra and the E-Type)
You have to work them out to get the most speed of out them and they are less grippy. Less grip = more fun. :D

On another note, I won't be able to race next sunday so we'll need someone to upload the replays and fill the results as we race. Any volunteers ? Preferably someone with access to sugarsync and the Director's tally. :)
Oh and if anybody wants to play the photographer, have at it.

Tonight was great fun for me as usual and fighting with Qwiet again as usual. Nice driving buddy !!!

I can upload replays and put the points in next week as long as I get rid of family by race time. I expect them to be gone by around 4pm so that leaves a 2 and a half hour window to really get rid of them.

Thanks! You already have access to the Directors' Doc, right?

I won't be able to race next sunday...

Someone else might get to win for once lol, I'm really surprised I was able to keep up with you and qwiet at the ring, I was really hoping you might take out qwiet at the jump and I'd somehow slip through but that didnt happen

Arg...I can't get a break. I wish I could paint "Don't tread on me" on my cars. Two weeks in a row I have been taken out in 3 out of 6 the races...both nights. Was hoping for a better first couple of weeks in D1. I'll try again next time :)

I really hope the first 2 combos stay. Good racing tonight d3 guys. Couldn't have had any closer of a finish, almost literally

I like combos 1 & 3. FF just doesn't work for me. That Toyota is a blast! Hope the 350Z stays. Maybe a new track. Nurb GP/F would be fun I think.

That 350z is a nice car but that combo definitely needs a change, it's a bit stale, and every time I drive it I lose concentration and crash all over the place. The integra really needs a course change more since the main complaint is spontaneous crashing on the jump though

Great racing last night in D1. Fun times as always with Worst and the crew. At some point I think I ran door to door with everyone in the division. Had a decent night going until I got caught up in someone else's wreck in the last race.

The Toyota is one of the best combos we've had in a while and other than the jump the Cape Ring combo makes for close racing. The 350Z is screaming for a new track. It's an awesome car to drive in stock form.

Bowler answered my question, thanks again Bowler.

Agreed; the Toyota is a lot of fun, and the Integra is a great car, but that track is awful. The jump is totally unpredictable. You can do the same thing and have a different result every lap. I've tried everything I can think of, matching revs, foot to the floor, lifting off completely, but there is absolutely no consistency. Sometimes it will pull left, sometimes right, sometimes straight. Gah, doesn't matter, it got the most votes.

Last night was disastrous for me softened by a good victory with the integra where i was able to escape to wolfsatz's ultra-aggressive pressure.
Between collisions, spins, penalties and even a wheel sudden failure, i had a bit of everything.
But the chronic complain remains the same... 7 or 8 people only??? Come on snailers... let's get these rooms full.

I love the Toyota because you can make a mistake and still drive hard and make up spots. That's usually impossible in D1 or probably any division for that matter. Usually if you make a mistake you're stuck in whatever position you are in when you recover and the lead pack is gone. That wasn't the case last night.

Last nite was not what I tought it to be. Great racing but too much agressive. Keep a space between cars help to avoid contact. Keep the space on a inch is annoying.

I can list on the toes of a bird the same guys in D1 every week that are just way too aggressive. Always trying to fit their car into a two foot space. You think you have sufficiently taken away the inside line when one of these people tries to shove their car in there anyway. If you hold the line there will be an incident or just adjust to give space. Most of us will give room to avoid conflicts but it's really starting to wear on me.

Nothing you can file on but frustrating because it's just not how some of us drive.

Sometimes im in a traffic and I decide to give more than a inch to the front racer but I CANT, racers behind passed like a train on me or bump my rear. Its really annoying to a guys on probation.

When the racers race on a inch of space its like they said to you. " I got your back ha ha I will continuing to put pression on you and after 1 error I got you and I dont care about your defensive driving". Yes you really have to care about defensive driving because its a part of racing.

01: SNAIL OLR General Rules section I specifically states that Agressive driving is strictly prohibited. Why can't you file a racing inquiry?

I agree that something needs to be done because those that do drive aggressively are making those who do not drive aggressively drive the same way. You have to adapt or be run over.

When I moved into D1 I expected the racing to be clean if not cleaner than racing in D2. If I had a choice, I would go back to D2 because the dive bombing is just getting a bit rediculous

Seriously guys, file a complaint. That is the only way that these issues are going to be resolved. The protest system is the only way we have to control this kind of behavior, and if you choose not to file protests the only one you can blame is yourself.

If in D-1 the only reason to race here its rejoin the top instead of agressive driving. I have no goal to be here lol. Im sure that situation will change for make all happy.

Well the problem is, when watched back on replay it might often appear that the aggressive driver made a great move. When in actuality the aggressive driver came in with the intention of taking the two inches of free space that is there and turning it into a pass....damn the consequences. So the opposing driver sees it and has to make a decision. Close the door really hard and create an incident (and maybe appear to be the bad guy for blocking) or be the respectful driver and assume that the aggressive driver might have made a mistake and come in too hot...you move slightly to give some room and avoid the contact that may have occurred and the aggressive driver takes everything you gave up (he created) and more...and the pass is made.

Green is absolutely right...you try to give space and fall into line to avoid contact and someone fills the location you just tried to avoid.

Tough calls.

I'm not sure why D1 has become overly aggressive; or when it happened. There is no promotion and penalties can lead to relegation. D1 drivers should be using their mad skills and creativity to pass in places other than the apex, and to avoid contact / dangerous driving.

Strangely, we don't have or get many official complaints or reported Racing Incidents from D1, so perhaps this isn't really an issue.
