Saw that a couple days or so after they posted it. While certainly a solution, I am still sticking to my guns that my current wheel should be supported natively, without need of any "hacks, cracks, pies or workarounds". Not even certain, if I didn't have other things I wanted to spend my disposable income on, that I'd relent and spend the 400+ for the hardware + game(s). Hitting zero balances is almost as addictive as some video games. The grind is much longer however. We'll see how things go. As always, management reserves to right to makes changes without prior notice.

Ok guys I in a little need of help. I need some new tires for my car as this was their last season.

The tires I have now are Yokohama Avid Ascends 215/50 17's (would like the same size). I'd like something in the same catergory as these ones but with a little more grip.

If anyone of you guys could point me in the direction of some good tires for a decent price that would be great

If you want to do some investigation and judge for yourself, you can do it on the Tire Rack web site. The choices are so wide that you will get more than 5 opinions per person if you want to get your advice on a site like this....

Hi SNAILers, fact is that the league will move to PS4, which is quite a logical move and sain,.... but moving from PS3 to PS4 leaves a bad taste in my mouth, guess I'm not the fastest driver, nor the software specialist or hardware nerd, so I have a question to the community, what are the advantages riding a PS4 with the 2 suggested games, ahh guys, thx so much for your reply  :gtpflag:

I have gleaned information from my sources that an announcement regarding SNAIL's migration to a new platform will be coming soon.

You may take from that what you will. Please note that my definition of soon does not necessarily coincide with Kaz's definition of soon.

Hey Steamer,
Ps4 has many advantages, from a ton of storage space, to great psn community features, better graphically, faster, better online functionality, and the ability to watch netflix/Amazon prime/ps vue/etc.
Only downsides I have experienced, is having to pay to play, but 59.99/year ($5/month) is a small price to get a more stable online experience. The other is the need to upgrade to a ps4 compatible wheel, or to purchase an adapter to make an old wheel work. https://www.gtplanet.net/drivehub-allows-use-almost-driving-wheel-console/
I have never been one to jump to new technology or platforms right away, and I did wait nearly 2 years before making the jump, but once I did, there was no going back. Ps3 became a door chock. Hope this helped.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

ERkVCvh.png
On behalf of the SNAIL BoD, I'm pleased to announce that we've voted unanimously to transition to GT Sport for the November 2017 season (which starts on October 29th). This means that the October 2017 season will be the last season that this particular thread will support GT6. As previously announced, anyone who races in the October 2017 season will earn points towards the ButtKicker Challenge V, where the winner will get to pick between a ButtKicker Gamer 2 or a ButtKicker Simulation Kit! After GT Sport launches, please be on the lookout for time trial instructions for the new game.

Project Cars 2 will undoubtedly be a great game as well, and SNAIL fully intends to have a one or more series feature this exciting new title; it just won't be the title used for our Sunday night series. During the course of the BoD's discussion on this decision, we came up with some interesting format ideas for a SNAIL pCARS 2 series. If you're interested in directing such a series (or if you have your own ideas for a SNAIL pCARS 2 series you'd like to direct), please let us know so that we can make arrangements to launch and promote a successful series together.

For the Snails that won't be investing in a PS4, we would love for you to remain part of the SNAIL community. If you'd like to start a new thread and direct a SNAIL GT6 series, it'd be a great way for PS3 owners to keep enjoying SNAIL racing and camaraderie. At the very least, please continue to race with us through the October season, as it will be our last with GT6 on Sunday nights. However, please note that we might cut the October season down to three weeks so that we can use October 22nd as a live-fire test session for GT Sport.

For those of us that won't be moving to PS4 and GT Sport, let's use these next few weeks to get a list of drivers so we can figure out is it worth it to keep a GT6 thread. I think we may only have one division as the majority of SNAIL will be moving and we will need a to figure out whose going to be in charge.

In the weeks leading up to GT Sport, i will still have my PS3 so i can still host GT6 Sunday Nights. Planning to getting the PS4 Slim and GTS. If i am able to purchase the PS4 before the transition, i will let others know on here.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Pagani Huayra '13 (Racing: Medium) at Circuit de la Sarthe 2005 (No Chicanes) (3 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Dragonwhisky wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @Dragonwhisky has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 2 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D2 drivers from Sunday night start thinking about combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post it if/when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @Dragonwhisky is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Gran Turismo Red Bull X2014 Junior (Racing: Medium) at Red Bull Ring (8 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @socalnatv gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Engmatic1 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.
