Prize A selection: Chevrolet Corvette (C7) '14 at Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A 8:30 Morning clear.

Mixing things up here with a track that I often forget exists. It should make for lots of overtaking, being wide, with a long straight and an infield with a slow hairpin coming from a fast straight line.
Do you have a lap time for us?

I want to tell you guys that Alsace Village was probably one of the magic tracks for the Miata TC. I tried so many tracks trying to recreate some of that magic and it was difficult. It's needs some flow and it needs corners that can create some oversteer opportunities for the fun factor. Straights can't be too long or it gets boring. Things need to be just right. I tried a LOT of tracks and it's amazing how many of them gave me the "boring" feeling. Even though I truly love some of those tracks with certain other cars.

Just goes to show you that choosing combos is an art. Getting it right is pretty tough. Hopefully Laguna works out ;)

The drivers list and grid list are updated and ready for this week's racing. Any new drivers that submitted a time trial have been added.

If you didn't post that you were willing and able to race on GT Sport in this thread, you're not on the list. If you did post and I missed it, please link the post and I will get you added.

If you haven't posted that you want to race on GT Sport, don't try and enter the lobby and race. The host should ask you to leave if you're not on the drivers list.

Great racing last night in D2. Sorry if I was a hinderance on course 1. I just couldn't get a rhythm going and felt like I was on ice the whole time. Congrats to @CANOWORMS1 and @racingchamp30 for great race finishes.
You did great. You will get better over time racing in Snail. I been racing in Snail since 2013 and i got better the more i raced in the league.

Well thank you. And you certainly were able to put pressure on me at times. I had some tight racing with pretty much everybody who was out last night and the points battle was stupidly close. I think that bodes well for the future in D2.

And my progression in Snail since Jan, 2020 has been:
2020: Nickname: The Moving Pylon. What the 'F' Cano? Stop hitting me!!
2021: Me: I'm pretty sure I know what comes after this corner.
2022: After 2 years of COVID induced practice I think I can circulate in traffic...sorta.

I would like to thank the many patient members of Snail who have helped me improve. Your patience and understanding has been, and is, appreciated. Your tips, hints, and lengthy instruction sessions have been invaluable. Thanks.

I'll be on holidays until May 25th, so I'll be watching how The GT7 tests go from a far. See you all in a couple of weeks.

  3. Yugofan ----------- voted to eliminate Round 2

  5. no1needs2perish --- did not submit a vote
  6. Bologna_Duc ------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  7. Phlano_099 -------- did not submit a vote
  8. Nic-KL ------------ did not submit a vote
Division 2
  1. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 3 - 92 (85.86 for Prize B)
  2. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 1
  3. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  4. Track_King47 ------ voted to eliminate Round 1
  5. JAV-31 ------------ voted to eliminate Round 1
  6. Flyingdisc315 ----- did not submit a vote
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - MAZDA ROADSTER TOURING CAR (SH) at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca - 10:30 Cloudy (9 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Worst_Driver wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @Worst_Driver has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 1 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D1 drivers from Sunday night start TESTING combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post a good combo when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". It's important to mention that a good combo will not have a car that hits its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft). Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @Worst_Driver is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - HONDA NSX TYPE R 1992 (SM) at Autopolis International Racing Course - 16:00 Cloudy (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @CANOWORMS1 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Harry Rowley so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.
