Hosts should start on time if possible

Take notes and provide feedback after tonight so that we can figure out what is going to be the best way going forward.

I could not upload replays this evening. System would lock up at 5%, I tried from within lobby or at map with my items. Thank you team for those that contributed. Much appreciated…

Apologies!

Looks like the scores are in, but there seems to be a challenge in getting the fastest lap times. We will have to think about this one.

The Data can now be entered on the same sheet. Data specialists: Please DM me with an email address so that I can grant access.

The score sheet is open for viewing by anyone.

The final scores for D2 will change a bit when the fastest laps are all entered, but it will not make a difference in the prize winners.

That was a fun night of testing in D2. I really enjoyed the party chat. I guess I can drive with TC 0 in GT7.

Looking forward to next week for another round of testing. Enjoy your week…

Yes, the fast lap was a challenge unless somebody was in a position (last) to either verbally report (or take a picture towards the end of the race of their screen). In any case the person doing data entry should verify the fast lap times.
Starting order took a bit of effort to accomplish but D1 did a relative decent job of getting lined up and starting the race on the back straight. If anybody gets jumpy there can be some occasional [engine] damage incurred, mostly problematic when engine damage occurs to an “innocent” driver when the race should be starting. Eventually this could be handled with IR from the affected drivers.

The only way I can see to work the GT7 lobby in a way similar to our current system so we don't have to do qualifying like the old days (so it doesn't place everyone by driver rating) is to just start the race and the first lap would just be a formation lap. Texter would tell everyone the order to line up, do a nice and slow lap to get everyone nose to tail in the correct order and when they cross the line for the second time then the lead driver will go at a predetermined spot on the track.

That seems reasonably less of a hassle than qualifying. All races after the first one...the scorekeeper (or someone who records the previous finishing order) would need to be aware of the finishing orders and tell everyone the correct starting positions for each subsequent race as the night goes on.

GT7 lobbies are terrible right now btw...in case anyone was curious ;)

+1 for the FFB

I think that the new format makes the most from the lobbies in their current broken state. Thanks again to the BoD. Atleast the connection was stable, I had one incident due to lag but that was it.

I will try to make it next sunday night , but if it runs beyond 11:30, I will have to leave as it is getting late for me when I have to wake up a 6:45 on monday morning.

On another subject, I was dead tired from my 2 day trip at Highland Bike Park in NH, south of the border (yeah, canadian border here hehe) It was a blast, beautiful place great people and delicious pizza in Tilton.

I had a great night last night racing, thank you D2. It was nice to chat and have some close racing. GT7 is beautiful but so flawed for our format.

Replays for D2 have been uploaded and I have some screen shots of finishes if needed.

Side note: Anyone interested in racing a slightly tuned GOLF GTI 1983 and is free Friday afternoons

Division 2
  1. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 3 - 92 (85.86 for Prize B)
  2. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 1
  3. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  4. Track_King47 ------ voted to eliminate Round 1
  5. JAV-31 ------------ voted to eliminate Round 1
  6. Flyingdisc315 ----- did not submit a vote
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - MAZDA ROADSTER TOURING CAR (SH) at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca - 10:30 Cloudy (9 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Worst_Driver wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - HONDA NSX TYPE R 1992 (SM) at Autopolis International Racing Course - 16:00 Cloudy (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @CANOWORMS1 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Harry Rowley so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.
