Rant coming!
Speaking of tonight, to those that haven't practiced much, you have to be so careful in the Lotus, early braking and throttle control are very important. The car over steers like crazy as well. I'm saying this so others look out for the car breaking in front of them. Also as it's easy to go OOB, if you do, please remember to do a lift when you come back on track. I'm not gonna get all bitchy here (aka Lobban, lol) but after some recent racing I am tired of getting hit from behind and drivers going OOB with no recession. I'm just going to start filing IR's from now on.
Rant done.
Yeah I've been seeing a lot of corner cutting without lift as well. So let's try to keep it on the track please.

Is anyone practicing soon? I haven't had the chance yet and with the Lotus being on I think it's best I do.

I wanna say it's about 12 or 13 at the moment. So half of the "active" list. Not too bad, although I did start making notice 2WEEKS ago.
I haven't done the TT yet, so I'm out tonight.
Was going to do it yesterday but the missus made Prosciutto risoto and so it was right to bed after dinner...
Will be ready for next week.

That, or you're overdriving the entry.

Older cars in general benefit greatly from a slow-in, fast-out approach.
This could not be more true. When you are on tires with very little grip and have engine with a ton of power you can't just go balls out into the corners unless you want to understeer into the weeds or oversteer the rear end into a pirouette. So make sure you hit your brake markers (or slightly before), hit the apex smoothly and ease on the throttle as you exit. Do everything smoothly ;)

I'm flustered right now I thought the last post I read (a while ago) was that there were no new seasons starting until PlayStation got there network straightened out?
I don't follow this thread intensely like so many of you I know do.
Am I not racing tonight? should I bother to pick a livery and practice? Can I race without a TT?

It literally takes 10 minutes. Upload probably takes far longer for many people.

Whats a secret combo?

In case I get all this completed I only see 3 liveries assigned on the first page of the thread. How do I pick one?

Going forward all drivers who wish to compete in this series need to submit a one-time time trial. It is a spec combo with spec lobby configuration. The car/track combination of the TT is not to be discussed in public which is why all driver need to start a PM with me so I can share that information. Everything else you need to know is in the appropriate spoiler in the OP, including a video demonstration of how one should properly setup the lobby. I HIGHLY recommend watching it before running your time trial.

You are correct. There have not been many assigned liveries this week. Probably since we had a week off, many kinda got out of the groove of it. The cutoff for livery selection was last night however, so no liveries may be chosen until this weekend when the new schedule is released.

I know. But my gear is not setup, so it would take a while to plug all the cables, get the wheel on the table, etc.
And once risoto lethargy set in....

Has the Livery list been updated? I requested Lotus #1 on Saturday.

If the two TT's I'm expecting to come through soon are valid we have 15 drivers tonight assuming everybody can make it.

I've had zero practice as of now so I'm probably gonna hit the pad here soon. That should be read as... Lessen probably won't be paying close attention to thread activity for a bit and most likely is content with the 15 drivers who have stepped up to the plate and got this done.

👍👍 to those guys

@JoeW thanks for a great race on that last one. I doubt I would have gotten around you if you didn't go wide. That was my most fun race of the night.

Its a shame all who started the night could not finish, wonder what happened?:guilty::odd:

Yeah I was having a half decent night until I got taken out a couple times during race 3. So I was determined to have a good final race.

Cards was on my ass early in that last race when I was on your ass :) I let him by so he could catch you and slow you down...which worked better than expected when you both had a small incident and I went between you both :) Then we lost Cards and you and I battled. I was fine with 4th when you got by me but my car hit the curb weird on the final chicane of the race and I spun. I was so mad...just a crappy finish to a night that just slowly went downhill. That final race was sooo good until the very last drop...which tasted like feces :)

Maybe if the cars picked aren't a ridiculous handful. It's one thing to enjoy learning a car and how to drive it. It's another when you're doing that surrounded by others in the same boat. So many incidents caused by lack of awareness.
