I can't believe you guys still using "GT cam"... coughlamecough.![]()
Haha!!!! I know how you feel, I haven't used anything other than the in-car or helmet view since I switched.

Put my name in the hat also, i've offered to help guys before who were struggling or just need some pointers. Heck, GTR and I were working together last week, looking to shave off a few tenth's.
Back in GT6 when i was racing with Snail all the time, i was also an Official Tutor with @sharkie. We both took under our wings, 2 guys, (among others) and they definitely improved their lap times, and division rank over many months of hard work and it paid off! @fzappa @AJKVail
Yep! Thats him.@Schmiggz is this the guy? These videos are well worth watching, easy to understand with just the right amount text and video. Has helped my driving. Don't let the title fool you, anyone can use these tips.

Using interior cam has been the hardest adjustment for me. Especially in traffic. I really need more door to door racing practice to improve. But realism is what I'm after... Not using video game views to be faster.![]()
I changed into in car camera as well and although it is harder, it's immensely more fun. The sound in chase cam is better, but the in car experience is so much nicer. It was a big adjustment for me as well, so was not having the little proximity arrows. Not only is the sense of speed different, but using a driver's view changes EVERYTHING about how you make racecraft decision. You just can't go for the gusto like you can in other games. If you're going to be intentional about racing clean, it becomes vital to become far more conservative and make those "I'm not sure, so I better give room" type of decisions.
Out there in the real world, having a helmet on forces the same mindset because you simply can't see as much around you. Good stuff.![]()
I read some reviews before I bought pedals. Basic consensus, if you're willing to go $100 on pedals, scratch up another $50 for the pro pedals. I've been happy with mine... Very stout and almost all steel or aluminum. I think Lobban's happy with his as well. Maybe you can send yours back and exchange? Either way, I'm sure you'll be kicking butt soon.I use cockpit view in F1 2013, but it's not working for me yet in Pcars. Perhaps with more practice and as I become more comfortable with what's going on in the game.
On another note, I've been working some long hours past few days and haven't opened my stock T300 pedals yet. The T3PA's arrived today and I have to say I'm more than a little disappointed with the quality compared to my G27s. I can tell right off these will not last more than a year and would love to test out the PRO set in comparison. I might not need to wait that long. If anyone is on the fence, don't waste time on the T3PA. If you have the G27 pedals, use them instead.
Remember that commercial from way back? " Should of had a V8"
Thank you for tagging me.I haven't thought about SNAILS in a long time. Wow! That brings back a lot of fond memories. The battles you & I were intense with lots of tight-quarters, clean, door-to-racing!
Running in Division 1 with you and a lot of other really fast drivers - a challenge but was also a Lot of FUN! 👍 Good Times... ...good times....
@fzappa and @AJKVail were great about wanting to learn how to refine their respective skills and to race smarter rather than harder. Best of all, both of them were willing to put in the 'seat-time' to re-enforce the lessons as well as getting the know the car & track very well.
Simply put, there is no substitute for seat-time.
AJKVail & I still talk on a regular basis.I haven't talked with fzappa in a long time.
BTW, I's sorry to sayI don't think we raced in the SNAILS League within GT6 but rather GT5. I had to discontinue running in SNAILS when my employer (for some goofy reason)
decided to change my hard-set 'days-off' which made it no longer possible for me to run SNAILS.
All good things come to a end - eventually.
Again, Thank You for tagging me which brought back a lot of memories.![]()
If this helps out check out my YouTube channel and subscribe, I try to post videos daily, heres a link, thank youhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCb-jPRRXRtmXe1mi713lDSg
Did you take part in the practice races tonight? If so, how'd you do?
Do you have videos of the SNAIL Races on YouTube? I would love to see those.
Unfortunately my PS3's fan went out, so no more ps3 for me, I have PS4 and i'm playing Project Cars,
I joined a bit later and I thought it was good. Your mic could be a bit louder, that's about the only thing I would change.GTR, I think she asking if you have the Tuesday races on your YT. I know you posted the short clip of us at Wilow Springs, but I don't know if you do the 4 weekly races.
Or I could of mis-read it. @sharkie
By the way, I think last night's tutoring session went well, at firs 2 showed up, @Zii1993 and @Fallen_log , followed by swjackson. I believe we went for about an hour and 30 minutes before a few more came in, Flip, Filipino, (I forgot the others sorry).
I'd like your guys feedback on how it went if you don't mind. Maybe it'll convince others to join also.
I know Zii was running a 1:40.2xx and dropped it down to a 1:38.600 and swjackson went from a 1:44.xxx to a 1:42.xxx.
I had fun guys!

It's an extra 120 bucks in Canada and the Logitech pedals are mostly plastic yet rock solid. Very disappointed so far on Thrustmaster quality. But damn does the wheel feel good though.

Unfortunately my PS3's fan went out, so no more ps3 for me, I have PS4 and i'm playing Project Cars, waiting for Gran Turismo sport to fire as well as GT Academy. I used to race with Snail on Gran Turismo 6 in mid 2014, and I made it to the national finals for GT Academy in 2015.

Yep. Let me clarify - Mopar & I use to run side by side & nose to tail in most of the races when we both drove in SNAILS in the days of GT5 (when it was the in it's prime) and the occasional evening (when work wasn't getting in the way) in GT6. I'm asking if GTR3123 if he has videos of the races when he was battling with Mopar. I would LOVE to see those videos. This may seem like bragging but oh well..... Back in the day (SNAILS - GT5 days) when I started to run in SNAILS, I was the only female driver in the group. I began & ended my SNAILS races in Division 1, out of 4. Even then I was either at the top or near the top of the leader boards within SNAILS. [/BRAGGING]
GTR, your first reply to me didn't address anything I had said. Instead, it seems like you were or are under the mistaken impression that I was asking for or in need of tutoring. This is not the case, but thank you nevertheless. I do appreciate the link to your YouTube channel and I'll go through them all, but I would really like to see video of the two of you (GTR & Mopar) racing against each other. I have heard of the races ("battles" might be a better word) you and Mopar have had together and I would really like to see those videos.
As for GT Academy - It's Great! I love it!
I have heard that you were one of the finalist one year. That's impressive. Truly. However, The fact of the matter is, I'm not eligible for GT Academy - and I'll just leave it that. However, if you do your homework, I'm sure you'll learn why.
I will try to do livestreams of the Tuesday night snail events,
I have this video right here which is one of the past Snail World Racing Challenge combos.
