How do you guys find this stuff.... I know, check every single cars.
@a6m5 that TLV CR-X looks a gorillion times better IMO.
In person, TLV looks even better. My photography skills lack. :ouch:
That is one sexy Mustang!
I rarely order a random car I know nothing about(maybe my only ERTL, dunno), but this thing looked so good, I couldn't resist.
I think the TLV is also helped a looooooot by the awesome wheels they chose to put in it, whereas the Kyosho model has the ugly steelies.
Wheels are awesome, I wouldn't dispute that, but while the Kyosho looks about right in those pics(except for those dumbo ear mirrors actually looking smaller), TLV looks much, much better in person. It's my crap photography skills & equipment. This particular instance, TLV wins hands down.
If the guy that sold this to you told you this was a Shelby, welcome to scamville, population: you. It's a standard 1969 Mach 1. Cool car though.
It's not the seller, it's the idiot poster who don't know nothing about classic cars, but decided to take a guess. You were right, it was listed as the 1969 Mach 1. Sorry. :dunce:

Edit: JDM guys should check this out. Very cool customs. Looks like they are mostly TLVs and maybe Aoshima. 👍

You know, I was extremely close to missing that one, because the bin I found it in has not changed for months. I think it's probably my sixth time sweeping through that bin and it was only then I swept past it. You figured if you didn't notice anything special the first few times, you wouldn't be expecting anything different other than a completely new casting you've been waiting for.

I don't search through bins and pegs with the intention of finding errors.* Often times, I grab several cards in one hand, do a quick glance on each one whether it's something I'm looking for, or if it's a variation I'm aware of. This Cougar is nothing to me. I toss whatever I pick up over onto the other side of the bin. Understandable, no? I don't have the time patience to check everything thoroughly for minute variations, so if it doesn't strike my attention like a good resume, I toss it.

But as luck would have it, after I tossed that Cougar, I noticed something popped up in my head that stopped me. "Wait! Why did I see chrome in the back wheel?" I thought to myself. Photographic memory says the wheel area should've been all black.. because MC5 wheels, yada yada. So I dug it back out and now I own it.

* This isn't the case once I find one. After that, I search everything more carefully. It's happened before. Wishful thinking, but I did find a second error in the same bin one time.

So on top of the 3 new fantasies, I've another Fast Fish, Yur so Fast AND a Nitro Doorslammer to look forward to? Yes! Valueless castings just means I won't need to fight for them. :D

Porsche 934, that's a no-brainer. Casting looks killer. RX-7, yep.

Mostly stanced crap.

I think the Fast Fish was in P case, saw it yesterday.

Well, even if it's not in the Q Case, it would still be something I'm probably going to have to wait until October to find if the Q case is the last case of the year. With Hot Wheels, it's all waiting and waiting and waiting.

Sigh.

Promised comparison pics.

I'll take your word for it, but I must be biased, because TLV looks more realistic to me. I've seen the Kyosho Legacy wagon(from few years ago) from Japan Booster, and while that car looked tight, this Legacy looks rough around the edges, like CM's. Don't get me wrong, I love CM's, too.

I believe you, but I'm in Oregon where you see 10,000 Subarus during a commute, like each way, and it looks about right to me. Maybe it's the pics, I don't know.

Edit: I do think both Legacy are cool in their own way though, Jason.

It'll arrive this week barring late Hawaii vaca....

Well hopefully so, we need pictures. 👍 Nice comparison with CR-X's too, can't really comment because I don't have either model but going off of the pics and your comments, I think the TLV gets my vote. And have you ever considered moving to Hawaii? You know seeing as all of your mail tends to end up there anyway...:P

In the case of the Legacys, the Kyosho one is the one that's helped a looooot by the wheels and color, and heck even the roofscoop, but they seem pretty even to me. I can't see what Jason sez about the greenhouse of the TLV to be bigger, it seems pretty fine to me.

Eh, for the record, in this case I'd have the Kyosho, because race car, lol.

Isn't that more like Lexucy? :dopey:

That happened once, Jarrod! One time!

Besides, don't tell my friend from Hawaii, but all that volcano action, I'm convinced those islands will be under water in my lifetime.

:P

P.S. I got the Tokyu Bus from AmiAmi today, and.......... oops. It's the same tan bumper model, just like the one I got from Plamoya. I'm not mad, because they are still worth more than I paid, but my hunt for the elusive Tokyu Bus with the silver bumper(and darker gray wheels) continues.

I have a car from AmiAmi that would be a surprise to you guys. IMO, it's crap casting & I never bought it because of it, until just now(it's a special edition). This certain car will backup your claim somewhat on this TLV vs Kyosho thing. :D
Another package from Japan Booster arriving today. I will share the contents tonight...
Already looking forward to the pics!
For @AOS- (and whoever else it may concern): I will not, again, NOT, be able to buy the red Mitsubishi.
What if Andy gave you free (international)shipping? Andy, can he has free (international)shipping?

Andy, if I can have the free (international)shipping & free car, I'd take it. I'd want a discount though.

:P

Yeah, gun to my head I'd probably go the same way.

Pfft, who's counting? I was actually.......

Ooh, intriguing. Any clues? And real shame about that bus but I guess you could always whack it on ebay and get (more) back than what you paid for it, so it's not all bad.

EXACTLY. I'd give you a clue, but you will never guess it. Maybe look at their earlier releases that looks almost like one of their mainline offerings, and you may get there. It's also a old model(probably from the very early 60's). Like I mentioned, this is a unique release from the TLV. Sort of like Seibu Keisatsu & Super Silhouettes(collector box stuff), but it's super cheap, probably because it's based on super crap.
Oh come on. At least gimme a catcher's helmet if you're gonna throw that curveball at me. :P
I'm throwing curve ball at Andy, but it may hit you anyway, as I'm the worst pitcher in the world.

You're right, I won't. You're really talking this thing up too (based on super crap lol), can't wait to see it. 👍
I was gonna wait until this weekend to take the pics, but I may try to do this one before that. 👍 Just for you!

P.S. @R1600Turbo, @RCKakashi14 , I just got the Tomica Initial D Hachiroku with a white hood? First one was with the black hood. This is relevant to the story from the manga/anime, right?
