I'm in for the Datsun and the Nissan Titan (even though I hate those wheels).

As expected from someone who knows Nissan well. And I do not downright hate the rest of the collection, but most models are a bit too flash for my taste (and not because they are HW cars, mind you), the Datsun is the only one that succeds in being somewhat tasteful while not being downright stock-looking.

Peek-a-boo.

:)

A curious set of cars, although the inclusion of the Mach 5 feels a bit random in a group of "cutesy" model and RC cars...

The Real Riders on the blue cards I see here have only been the non-Japanese cars, meaning there has never been a BB510 or 240Z available.

If I could provide some talk-me-down's to anyone, if you're ready to put $40 for one of these, perhaps it may be worth putting down 3 times that amount for a larger version by AutoART. They're in less demand too.

Great, now I have to get that Tomica Crown. (It's the last one available too from this seller)

Such a shame that I may never seen those two in a local supermarket, because god damm are they handsome cars... The rims by themselves already set the cars apart from the usual JDM Hot Wheels models, but their liveries are period correct and handsome at the same time.

In America it must be even worse, thanks to that ever-so-dreadful hoarders threat...

OMG

BIG NEWS

Kyosho and SunKus finally revealed their new plans for 2016, and changed the blind boxes system to a lottery system.

http://829japan.com/2015/12/03/news-kyosho-164-mclaren-and-new-sunkus-lottery-system/

I wonder if this is to forcefully make people own the crappier unwanted models to reduce the pileup of them in ebay retailers who purchase boxes.
Bad to worse. That's what comes to mind.
Kyosho 1:64 - Volkswagen Golf R (Mk. 7)
What's your take on the headlights? I almost ordered the flat black one from amiami yesterday, but I just wasn't too sure about the headlight finishes. I even google image-searched it, looked at the large pic from Japan Booster, but I still couldn't tell if it looked cheap, or it was decent.

:indiff: How are you satisfied with it?
I couldn't give a lesser damm about those slammed
American pickups, but that Datsun... THAT Datsun.
Lukewarm on the Toyota(probably not enough to buy one though), but Hell Yes Please! on the Datsun. 👍

Can't put a finger on it, but that Kenmeri police looks completely wrong. Maybe the white fender flares? I'd probably buy it if I see one on the pegs(lmao), but not online. 2000GT on the other hand, probably a must-have for me. :)

Edit:
@MedigoFlame - See, this is what I was talking about:

pic borrowed from here(apparently, fake police car used in a horrible b-movie).

Also, here's a Tomica Kenmeri Police(probably extremely rare & cost as much as what you make a week. :nervous:)

I could be wrong, but I think I would put the blame on Mattel & local distributors. If they did what they do with the Star Wars cars & other garbage like those color shifting/changing cars, absolutely saturate the aisle one, two & three of every department store toy section with them, effect felt by hoarders & scalpers would lessen. And these cars, I bet you that unlike Star Wars cars & color changers, they will move.

Before people freak out, I am sorry I think less of Star Wars cars & color shifting things, but that's all my stores have. Finding peg warmer casting from Heritage is like finding a treasure hunt in my neck of the woods. Skyline would be a $uper.
I like that square back, but I'm not sure why.
If that came with real riders, it would be a really cool car. That's just me.
Bought that blue MS60 series Crown and this black one.
I like the black. Slick. 👍
Straight Outta Snapchat :D
Are they like $6 a piece? I bought one few weeks ago, because they had them in diorama set; two for $6. I checked them out, didn't do much for me(don't watch NASCAR), I already sold it on eBay. I didn't even know that there was a brand called Spin Masters.
Anyone else pick up the new Datsun 620?
Kinda cool, but after seeing that red/white/blue one on the previous page..... :D

$3 each. 👍
Really? Did you get a deal on them, or are they regularly that low priced? I was under the impression that ones at Walmart sells for $6 a pop.
No, you! Kevin did the right thing.
@a6m5 - the 650S headlights are similar to those "Notice me, Senpai" eyes.

As for the Golf R's lights, mine are properly fitted.
Sorry, just noticed how the attachment didn't work. Let me try again:

Hopefully it displays now. It's those two outlines within the headlamp(projectors or halos?). It's hard to tell if they are executed well from online pics. I'm still on the fence.....

P.S. Senpai comment.👍

Ah... they're the LED strips:

Judging from it, the Kyosho model's LED strips within the headlights are just a bit off from the real thing. But they're okay.

I don't mind the modern pickups, but they do not have anything that is special enough for me to justify purchasing them. You could say that I'm lukewarm about them, but much like you a6, I'm not interested enough to move on to "buying phase".

The Datsun is more than a-okay however, because the livery is wonderful and suits the car like the glove, not to mention that there are no awkward rim choices or tasteless tuning that hamper the car's value and/or desirability in my eyes. As someone who owns a yellow 510 Wagon, I can definitely appreciate a well-executed HW Datsun. And man have they been doing those lately... 👍

A fake Nisaan police car that isn't from Seibu Keisatsu? Well I never!

I kid, I kid, but that's a curious reference, it seems that someone at Mattel has a thing for cheesy Japanese movies to inspire themselves in making new models... As long as they get it right, I won't mind the strange ties to B-movies.

Also, that Tomica is a delightful thing, but my word it must cost the equivalent of a modern TLV Neo (if not more)... My heart says yes, but my wallet is slapping it and shouting "Are you crazy, man!?"

So in essence, it's the shortage of models that causes hoarders to fight and claw their way into purchasing most of them before other people do, is that it? While I think that the idea of oversaturating aisles with Star Wars/color shifting HWs is more due to trying to get as much money as possible from younger audiences (we must not forget that kids are a major part of Mattel's target audience, after all) than bothering hoarders with excessive numbers, I can see why would that deter them from stealing as much as they do.

In my country, there's barely any vehicles like the Kenmeri. The only really special edition-type HW cars that I've seen in a store were Porsche Edition models, and those were quite far away from my area...

Now that I saw that picture, it does look wrong with the white fenders. :irked: That's unfortunate.

Those two were the last ones from the seller, although there was this one too. But it was double the price of the other two combined. :scared:

$3 each. 👍
I checked it out during lunch today, yup, $3. I was going to see if they had any cars I wanted, all they had left was Danica Patrick thing & nothing else left. On the way home, I saw them again, this time at Toys R Us. They had the cars, but they were still $6!

👍 On the Hot Wheels Kenmeri police car, no, it wasn't inspired by that movie I borrowed the pic of. I just used that as a reference to show what the "correct" look would be for Kenmeri police car(HW version just looks odd).

As for that Star Wars/Color changing thing comment, I'm just sore, because the adult collectors in my area have lost access to series like HW Heritage for many weeks, if not months due to overstocking of these slow moving cars. I like Star Wars, but I've never seen hot wheel series get overstocked like this before. Unreal.

I'm glad you were able to see what I mean. With me being Japanese & Kenmeri being one of my favorite, if not the favorite Skylines, this hot wheel could've been something special to me. Instead, the car actually doesn't even have Japanese Police livery. Just some weird knockoff JDM police look.

Nice, but I like that black better. 👍

And that's why I prefer Wally prices. :scared:
