I'm a fan of hotwheels errors and noticed I had a 2012 hotwheels Road Racer James Garner Copo Corvette is in the wrong packaging and incorrectly labeled as a Ford GT 40? Anyone see one of these with an error? I've attached a photo of what car I'm talking about and I'll update with an actual photo tomorrow.View attachment 535896
Nope, that's right. Just generic imagery for all the cars in that series. You can see above the car it says "James Garner's COPO Corvette" which makes it correct. Edit: Read that wrong. If yours says something about a GT40 then it would be an error. Packaging errors are not really sought after much though.

Ya, here's a pic of mine. Just thought it was interesting.

Brilliant idea but with the amount of dioramas @a6m5 now has at his disposal, he can step it up another level. How about a full stop motion chase like this, with one of the grachan Carina's as the bad guy car?

You totally have to do something like this Shinji. :dopey:

Perfect, I wholly approve of this idea. He could even bust out his TLV Super Silhouette Nissans as the bad guys' cars! And maybe throw in a Seibu Keisatsu car as the cop, because realism. :dopey:

Has anyone else been able to find the Japan Historics yet that can get me the UPC (bar code) number off the back of the blister card?

Also, some product news coming out after the HW convention this past weekend but so far most of the photos have been taken with a potato so I will wait to post them until they're clear enough to make them out.

@R1600Turbo - I've been searching for them, but why are you looking for the barcode??
Lalalalalalalalala....
I was referring to the Grachan version, but yes, I want that one too. :embarrassed:

I've posted that on here before. Amazing work.👍

I need the numbers so I can input them into sites like Brickseek to search Walmart inventory. Easier to do that than to waste time and fuel searching for them store to store. A little trick I picked up when I started to collect POP figures.

2000GT 887961224337 (DFJ79-D510 ... 4LB)
Hakosuka 887961224337 (DJF80-D510 ... 4LB)

They're the same UPC. That's so whack.

A couple of flea market finds. Didn't know about the purple 911 GT1.

Are you aware of the purple-tinted tampo variations and its wheel variations?

I recently sold all my GT1s, but I still have pics of them all:

Then there were these two variations:

The teal tampos were so flipping hard to find because so little people knew about it and usually passed it off as either the lime or sold it as some regular toy. That being said, if I took more time on the Desert Cars list, this probably would have replaced one of the Kyoshos.

I've been going to Walmart for at least a week and haven't seen any new hot wheels basics, bmws, or Japanese historics.

Be like me. Don't go for 2 months. You're bound to find one or two good things each visit. No guarantees on the good stuff. :P

Apparently the Gran Turismo set is coming out sooner than I thought. Starting to show up in the UK first, so heads up to you guys across the pond.

I've just seen the Huarya and R32 and was totally underwhelmed by them in person. Plus, at £1 more than the mainlines in Asda, they're not very good value, similar to how I viewed their long card BMWs.

I bought the black 2002 mainline and the utterly fantastic CSL racer instead and to me these looked like they should've been the long card release. They would've commanded their premium much more.

I also got a new Acura NSX, which out of the three there, the one I bought had its decals in more or less the exact spot they should be. It looks great.

Star Wars figures only.
👍
I seem to remember having seen it recently in one fo the boxesI dug up. I'll look for it.
I hope you can find it. I'd love to see one. :embarrassed:

PS I got my final ten for the desert island list. :D
@R1600Turbo. Nope. @a6m5 great finds on those Speed Machines and Ferrari racers Prices are pretty good compared to what I sold most of my Speed Machines for.
Yeah, a steal compared to prices I had seen on eBay. Can't wait to check out the 308. Been wanting that one. One of my favorite hw castings.

Best one is still 2013's Retro Entertainment. The red is rich, the grills and vents are coloured black. The interior is leather-coloured, and tampos covered the emblems, text and lights, and lastly, Wheels are GORRRRGEOUS

I took that one out of my lot of 308s to sell, but even another guy wanted to grab it off me so I sold that two days ago.

Also sold this baby to him too:

Which now means the rest of these are up for sale if anyone wants one:

Ah, it's a 15th Anniversary Huayra, that's rather nifty. Shame it lacks a numberplate as well, it wouldn't look out of place on the car's side panels.

Still, I'll wait for the second GT-based set, there's more variety to be had there... But those are my five cents on the matter, mind you.

A Huayra and Aventador with MC5s. The XJ220 with the same issue with the rear wheel misaligning with the fender well. Mattel please...

On a more positive note, at least the One-77 has 10SPs like it should.

Why the heck is the 277 silver and the white variation on a GT3?! Some very odd choices with these cars. They just don't conform with Magnus' own icons.

Edit: I've read it now, they didn't want to make replicas. Fair enough, but I want replicas, not mish-mash versions. The 935 is cool, though.
