E-bay, bud. Really, it's life-changing.
Is it sad, that the one and only T-Hunt I have in my collection, I got off E-bay?
E-bay, bud. Really, it's life-changing.
But it's like $1 versus $5 ~ $10! And I don't really want to support the scalping business either.
1600, whatcha gonna do to the Catterham?
Also, how "special" is the Back To the Future Delorean in the hotwheels line-up? >_>
I hate going through those! When it comes to dump bins, I will usually grab a shopping cart and use it to hold cars from the top so I can get to the bottom.
quite sad
Pro tip: Don't let Cano tell you what to do if you're short on money.
Well, I just got back from Walmart after work and bought myself 8 new hotwheels cars and one matchbox car (they barely had any for matchbox..). Planning to get some pictures by tomorrow. Also, how "special" is the Back To the Future Delorean in the hotwheels line-up? >_>
GrayfoxYup no double clutching granny shifting with this car.
AOS-We never get the cardboard stands here
You don't, they just put it there to get it out on the floor. They don't expect people to want to reach stuff that high up anyway. Sometimes I want to go as far as asking a staff member for a step ladder.
Searching through pegs during the winter season sucks because your puffy jackets knocks everything down when you stick you arm in between the cards to read the name printed on the sides. Sometimes I won't care enough, will take off my jacket, and roll up my sleeves with a basket in front of me.
R1600TurboIf I really wanted to go through everything in the top one, it was a "Marketplace" store which is a mix of a grocery store and one that sells home accessories. So I could have found a step ladder if I wanted to.
I hate going through pegs, but I kind of know what I'm looking for when I do so it's easier only having to go through pegs that I see something I am looking for. When it comes to dump bins, I will usually grab a shopping cart and use it to hold cars from the top so I can get to the bottom.
MedigoFlameI've been looking through this thread for a long time, but never posted in here. Really enjoyed looking through the collections of the members here. I've got a small collection from my childhood, but I haven't updated it in years. (Along with the constant attack from my parents telling me to grow up and get rid of them) I hope to post some pictures here. Just a little note, I've been watching some die-cast car reviews from Classic Game Room Garage. I'd suggest people should check it out. There's some amusing reviews in here.

I should start collecting all over again, using my change. (I don't even know how much they cost now... X_X) Any suggestions of the best place to get them? >_> Walmart, Target, or something?
And here's a tip from me:
If you can't get a certain car(s) or don't have enough cash. When I comes to bins and even(sometimes) pegs. Stash or bury the cars from prying collectors. Put them deep or far back from everyone else so they can't find it, remember the spot and come back later and dig up the 'tomb' and get your treasures. It's really works, but with pegs, it can be a risk sometimes, unless nobody goes in there all the time it's good, but a store that's crowded all the time or have collectors constantly, it's a roll the dice moment.
R1600TurboThey weren't very clever. I could just move some boxes around on the shelves and see them sitting back there.
Back when I was in middle/high school I used to get up super early and hit all the stores on my way to school. In fact I lived next to a Wal-Mart and would get up at 5am just to get there before anyone else. Most of the time I'd turn the corner to see the hotwheels pegs stuffed full. It's a great feeling when you see them that way.
AOS-Yes, nothing sucks more than to walk into the toy car aisle with half- empty pegs.... it feels like a waste of time.
MedigoFlameThanks for the welcome guys! And VspecZR1GT2RS89, I'm 18 still living with my parents but getting ready to go to college. Finally got the pictures of what I bought and what I was able to find of my old collection. Apologies for the quality, my parent's digital camera sucks. >_<
The BTTF Delorean that my brother bought at a yard sale, still in it's case.
My recent purchases
My old hotwheels/matchbox storage case!
The scratched up Toyota Supra's got a lot of history with both my older brother and I. Our old favorite die cast car.
Oh, and I forgot to add this. The last of my collection. My cousin bought me a Ferrari 5-pack a few years ago. And these were basically the last ones I had before I stopped my collection.
I see you store stashes of cars yourself.
those are some nice cars you have MedigoFlame and you are never too old for diecasts. What scale is that Viper next to the BTTF car in the first pic
I wasnt ment to be buying any more cars until after my move but when I went grocery shopping I found these two I just had to get.

A 2012 All Stars 458 and finally a Ken Block Fiesta that I found hiding right at the back of the pegs and those are some nice cars you have MedigoFlame and you are never too old for diecasts. What scale is that Viper next to the BTTF car in the first pic
Anyone think we should start a new thread for Custom Hotwheels only?
Cano, I've mentioned a few times already about a specific thread for modding posts only - it's a real time-stealer hunting through the thread to refer to a particular modding post. Please make a seperate thread, if poss. I'd love to contribute since I crazy mod too, but I don't just want to throw my posts in this glorious extravaganza of collections.
On it!
