If Kyosho makes the new Giulia, then I'll go crazy.

I'd check both Target stores, but with intel about Target chains in the past, my local Target stores almost never comes though. Total waste of time. Although one of them is by the Japanese grocery store & Japanese food sounds really good right about now.
I'll be in Phoenix on Sunday, will hit a few stores and try my luck.

Well, I made my run to the Target stores. Zero & zero. I was able to pick up rice crackers, Hawaiian Kimchi, etc., not at Target.
Do you live in the middle of a shopping centre or something?
Mall is located between the Target & Toys R us. :P

The hinge is awful, but apparently the car is meant to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mazda rotary and the engine needed to be seen as part of the licensing agreement.

EDIT: Also, prepare yourself for the car to be small in true 1/64. It was a tiny vehicle IRL that looks bigger in pictures.

I probably won't get it. The extra work in the form of an engine, hood/hinge is sure to result in a higher price. Will stick to my Konami.

They had preorder on it already, right? I'm not that excited about this release, but if you are TLV collector, it's a must-have.

That part is a turn on. :D

When was the last we could say that about a TLV which wasn't a racing car...?

I can't ever recall seeing a standard TLV car with an opening bonnet before. Normally you only see moving or removable parts, on things like the Silhouettes or some of the commercial vehicles they do.
This Cosmo will definitely be one hell of a opener to the main event which will be the TLV Mazda LMP...

I was preordering the Cosmo on amiami & I noticed that sliding flatbed truck(TLV) preorder was sold out! I'm trying to remember the last TLV preorder to actually sell out, but I can't recall one.

Also, Japanese hot wheel collectors are getting what looks like our 2017 mail-in Datusn 510 cars from what I've been seeing on Twitter(free, when you spend $30 on HW at TRU). We don't have them here yet, right @R1600Turbo ?
Never seen or heard of that one before!

I recall some of the first batch of R35's selling out before release. Can't recall seeing any others though. I don't think either of the Silvia Silhouette's ever sold out, did they?

Good thing we ordered the Flatbed when we did. 👍

I found these two in a grocery store today.

That's three cars I've been on a lookout for. :(
Only set they had on the pegs, besides the missing 911 and vw. I think Toys R us is the only other place I've seen them at, that's where I got the first series.
First one's where EVERYWHERE. Mostly Kroger & Toys R Us. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever saw them at Walmart(couldn't care less though).

Yes, I don't recall seeing any civilian TLV car with those features either. Only the Silhouettes come to mind when it comes to openable bonnets, and those aren't openable by hinges but rather are removable...

I do hope this becomes a trend rather than a one-off thing for Tomica. It would greatly improve the appeal of their cars if done right...

I'm of the opposite opinion. I see these things as a gimmick with little appeal. Put more details in, use more parts, better parts, but I don't need opening doors, or hoods. That's just me.
