Tomica mainline September releases are out.

Tomica #19 Ford GT Concept Car (Special Release)

More detailed than the HW version. The tampo and wheels make the HW look better though.

First two: @domalorite had at least one with slightly slanted rear wing. Were both like that, or just one?

Sorry for not replying sooner. Been occupied with something. I was wondering if anyone noticed I had two 787b. One was insurance against the other in case preorders were cut. It turned out both orders came through. Why buy one when you can buy two for twice the price! To answer your question, the wing on both cars are slanted, but the one I didn't take a photo of is better.

Now, this is what has occupied my time these few days. This Akado was on the top of my want list. Its the holy grail for Akado collectors. I'm super happy I have been able to acquire one. Enjoy!

Akado Custom Tomica Idemitsu Honda Civic Type R FD2

The Civic FD2 is very popular amongst Tomica collectors. Plain vanilla ones go for lots of money. This custom is the usual Akado quality. Full tampo printing (take note Tarmac!) with great detailing. I could retire from collecting diecasts a happy person.

Adds that to want list. If I can find a store that actually restocks hot wheels which is getting rarer for some reason. A lot of my stores barely have new stuff if they do have cars it's the stupid theme assortments like Guardians of the Galaxy.

I posted the photos of my local Walmart on Lamley's page and he said he's going to make a post about it being a wide spread issue.

Those higher priced auctions are just speculative.

Here in HK most shops still have loads in stock and we’re in the second week of release now. I bought mine at preorder price of HKD350 (USD45, YEN5000). The prices have gone back up to RRP HKD450 (USD58, YEN6400). I don’t think this will appreciate much, in the short term anyway.
