So many awesome cars in there, but I especially liked the Tomica 240Z. Just might be my favorite 240Z I've seen so far. đź‘Ť Great job on the Fiat.
The Dark Knight set is still available. I saw a couple the other day at Toys R Us. They usually sell for around $5.

Friday can't get here soon enough. Got cars to hunt!

I'm gonna keep my eyes open for that. Thanks, and also good luck on Friday then. đź‘Ť
Ah! Another GT lover.
I ended up buying a third GT. I'll post pics when they are all in. I love your Countach(Maisto). Is that a current model I might still be able to find in stores?

It's actually a 240ZG... and i'm very jelly , love the Toyota too, swing spare is so cool đź‘Ť

Nice finds Cano. I'm pretty sure I have that Vauxhall/Opel police car shown in picture #12 and #13.

Yeah, very cool Land Cruiser. I don't know if I ever heard "240ZG" before. Thanks..... I want one now. :D

Something like this might be nice, but this particular one's too much money.

Also, I don't know if you guys have ever heard of gachanko? It's a popular vending machine for kids in Japan. Put 100 yen coin(sometimes less) in, twist the handle, and little toys in a round plastic capsule drops down. It turns out they had miniture Tomica toys(even smaller than the original!), and it's on eBay!

Wow those are cool too!, had no idea Tomica did cars at that scale, Kyosho also do a similar scale, but i think they're mainly Lambo's, Ferrari's etc, they did do some Honda's though, also remember coming across a pic of a Kyosho 1/87 scale (i think) of the awesome Mazda 787B racecar... (probably rare as rocking horse poop now though).
Thanks for bringing the mini-Tomica to my attention. đź‘Ť

[EDIT], My bad.. the Kyosho are actually 1/100 scale and they're also made of metal apparently, i'll try find a pic of the Mazda.

Here's a couple of pics from some site:

I'm not sure if Tomica made those or not. It might be a miniature reproduction of Tomica manufactured by the capsule toys vendor. I don't know what they are called in the States, but I'm talking about these.

^ Yeah we used to have those machines in Britain, (probably still do, coastal area's mainly, amusement arcades etc), some machines had automated parrot voices saying, "Come over here and talk to me", obviously trying to part the victim from their hard-earned pocket money  , they Never had anything exciting in the plastic eggs/shell casings.. usually just a minature keyring on our shores, well.. nothing as way cool as those mini-Tomica.

Thanks all for the comments. Yes the 240ZG is a Japan-only Z car, its main difference being the long nose. The Tomica I found is very hard to find with the transparent plastic headlamps intact. It was a bit steep considering how badly tattered it is at about $2, but it’s complete, the glass isn’t cracked and both doors are there. It’s a prime candidate for restoration. I’ll show you, of course.

And yes, the Capsule Tomica are real and probably the cheapest way to grab a Tomica car, unless you find them for cheap in a flea market… or you have a rich friend that just gives them to you like a certain guy I have envy of just by mentioning him.

Hey Cano, that 240ZG is a steal at 2$ đź‘Ť
I think you should try to restore the Polistil Lancia, it looks like it would be tough but it's screaming for a fresh lick of paint, straightening of the door etc, glass looks like it's had it though, Matchbox Camaro i'd be tempted to keep as is, although it's a bit rough round the edges, i think it has a nice paint scheme.

I will try to restore it, but it will be pretty difficult to achieve anything decent. The glass can be moooore or less recued, the bit that worries me is the chassis/base, its gonna take a lot of polishing to get it decent again. I'll also have to cover the holes in the body.

Purchases from yesterday's run at the flea market. I was able to find a moderately sized wall full of hw/matchbox pegs. And here's what I got. :)

White KB Fiesta
Porsche 911 GT1 (Matchbox AND Hot Wheels!)
First Edition Ferrari Daytona
Porsche 911 GT2 Cup
Lotus Exige
Golf GTI
CLK DTM
Also bought another black KB Fiesta to open, since Walmart had a dump bin full of them, but before I could buy a second one, it was removed. :(

Today, was dragged along with my mom for some shopping. And bought this behind her back. $5.24 is probably a bit too much for this, but I had to get it anyways. :ouch: (Couldn't decide between this or the white one. Probably would have chosen the white, but it didn't look that great with this diecast) 1:36 scale and probably should post this in the scale model thread. :scared:

Edit: Also had a look at Walmart yesterday, nothing new. However, they did get some new Maisto, including the Maisto Lamborghini Aventador. :)

My question is, at what point do you run out of "hidden room" for all these cars?

At first, they were ALL under my bed. However, I had several random plastic containers sitting around, so I recently just put them in there. As for my loose ones, I'm basically out of room. :scared: Are you going to keep teasing me about hiding my hot wheels...? :P

Yet another edit: I'm hearing the new J case is coming out. Meaning we'll be seeing things like the WRX STI on the pegs soon. :) Along with Walmart exclusives I believe with windshield banners.

O_o whoa whoa, WAT.

I never, EVER saw that version of the Hot Wheels GT1. It's freaking awesome, way better than the first edition I have. E-Bay, let's go!!!!!

EDIT: Poop. The only one available is expensive. But at least you've brought it to my attention, thanks. I'll try to hunt it down.

Ugh, I ended up browsing E-Bay after looking for the Porsche. I ended up blowing 27 dollars yet again. STOP.MAKING.ME.GO.TO.E-BAY.

I just posted them (minus the Motorhome, eeew) in the previous page, and with far better company. And yes, needs maybe not more white background, but more light.

I was sticking with the blue at the moment, because I was documenting every car I have to date. You're all just jelly because I have prettier paper than you, plus all of you do white backdrops anyway. AOS gotta be special, you know? ;) The lighting was with only 4 tiny 6-led bulb flashlights... that's pretty good already. Other than that I only have the dual Flourescent tube lamp, or a warm-light lamp.. I got hold of 2 more lamps in my sister's desk just a few hours ago so I'll see what I can do about new lighting.

Thankfully, I just finished taking the last photos of the missing cars so I'm completely set and can get that off my to-do list.

Enjoy.

Wow, you took all that?

And I do agree on the white background. This was different, and I do like it. đź‘Ť

Nice find on the two GT1s Medigo. :D:tup:

I still have a late 90's HW First Editions of a orange GT1 and the 993 GT1 MB road car in a dark red metallic paint from a 5-pack when I was a kid.

Those 911 GT1s ARE A HARD TO FIND car(s)!!! :eek::drool:

I still baby mine to this day. :D

So any of you guys are jelly? :sly:

@AOS: Not that jelly, I'm looking for those 2gen Camaros Z/28s as we speak though. And I'm not a fan of the 60's version of the 'Cuda, perfered 'Cuda is the 70's version. :P

But nice photos though. But the blue background needs a lil' bit of some more lighting. Placing the background around some brighter lights can bring the cars and the backdrop some "in your face" style. Just saying though. But it's still cool. :)đź‘Ť

OH MY GOD!!! I remember that game so much! Loved that donut level! Speaking of which, does anyone remember the PC slot car racing game that hot wheels had? That stuff was awesome, while it lasted...

Can't wait for the new cases to come out too. And yes, it will have the Subaru Impreza in them!

By the way: $uper Treasure Hunt at 3:57 (Honda S2000)
