Thanks everyone for the comments. As you might imagine, I brought a lot of stuff to sell in the Conv, but of course that was not the only goal, a loooot of cars stayed in my collection. Look for photos of those in the next couple days.

I can get you a 599xx if you really need one...

Also, FINALLY getting a lace wheel Ford Falcon Racecar!

damn you can sell that on ebay for 250$

Just wow, Cano! Hope to hear what company makes the GT-R, Murcie, and Vette. :dopey:

Also hope to see those Hot Ones eventually in stores. But for some reason, NONE of my local stores have updated in about two whole months... The last update from any of the stores was Mix 4 with the Chevy Monza and 80s Vette. Grrr, I've still never seen the CRX! Any signs of the Hare Splitter?

Yeah, I want that one more than the Toyota truck. I'm not doing nothing tomorrow. I'm planning on visiting couple of Walmart stores.

Exactly the same story here, too. No updates in any of the lines in the stores I go to.

The Hot Wheels Racing Line is the worst though. I've only seen the NHRA stuff, but those were scarce... Speaking of which, anyone find the BMW M3 E30 yet? Or is it not out...

Anyways, an interesting video from RaceGrooves, I didn't know Matchbox made a model of one of the Ford Supervans!? Wish there was a model of the Ford Supervan 3 and Renault Espace F1!

R1600Turbo
New Hot Ones hitting pegs near you! (not my photo)

Edit: I did however buy one of these last night:

Edit 2: This is a neat idea:

OMG!!! The 930 911 and that Chevy Blazer 4x4 !!!! Remember those cars like yesterday. I can't wait to get them. 👍

Hmmm, that shelf idea is sparking some innovation inside my brains now. Still thinking between several ideas for a shelf design.

Cano, that KITT car with the creator's signature is a PURE CLASSIC!!! Even though it's not Michael Knight, but the person who created the HW version of a TV classic crime fighting car of the 80's is just....awesome!:D

Take good care of the package.

By the way, I like the cars that you got from the show. Let me know from your friend about the brand that makes the GTR R35, Vette C6.R and the Lambo LP670. Would love to find one.

A E30 M3? Never heard of it yet though, but can't wait to see it. :D

A Espace F1?!?! I'm with you there Medigo. Love to see one soon.

I had both of them back in the day. Matter of fact, I've still got the Star Fire version, it doesn't look as good as that one in the video though. I have no idea what happened to the other one. :indiff:

I always thought the hot wheels model woth the removable body was renault-espace-esque

Me too. Yeah, i always thought the 'Hyperliner' looked a bit like the F1 Espace.
Wish i still had my MB Supervan II though.. i could have sworn the one that i had (Ford logo, blue stripes, 2nd 1 in the vid), had 2 black vents on the front air-dam underneath the headlights.. maybe that's what the message about no black park lights were about on the packaging.. (don't know).

Cool garage Photon, look forward to the tips etc. 👍

Cool cars aswell Cano, autographed K.I.T.T, and Play-art AMX = super cool. 👍

The solid blue backdrop on the cards looks like one hell of a step back for whoever is doing the graphics.

In any case, I'm announcing that I'm breaking my promise of stopping collection at the end of 2012. I will try my hardest to not grab too many HW original cars despite how cool they made be from now on though however. I saw a blue Mad Splash the other day and decided not to get it despite how tempting it was to get it.

I don't usually buy too many non-car hotwheels. I think my favorite is the Mad Propz, which I believe is the only casting I have that's not a car.

Celica blows the other ones away. Wheels & stripes takes down the 2002 a notch for me. Same wheels, I know Cano. lol

Won't matter how much you spend. At the end of the day, getting one is getting one. You'd have made back all the extra money spent in a week easily. That's how I see it with collectable things; won't matter if you spend $15 or $50, if you don't buy it, you'll never have it.

Damn that countryman wrc is epic. Ive been thinking about it for ages, mattel needs to get the red bull/PD lisence to make a x2011 casting. Its probably the only imaginary car id debate buying.

Less ink = less money. They're always cutting costs, unfortunately. :indiff:

Not necessarily, and it's the same amount of ink in this case anyway. They print these things through a huge offset printing setup where there are separate plates for cyan, yellow, magenta, and black, and the amounts of each don't really make that much of a difference.

I think they might feel like the '12 cards were a little over-designed, and want to get back to something a bit more simple and maybe more like the classic cards. I actually don't mind them, especially after looking up close and seeing that there still is some subtle patterning and a bit of a gradient to them.

That's not a bad thing since people rip and throw their cards out right after. And for those who do keep the cards on, sucks to be you, but you'll live with it.

2013 cars are being found at Wal-Marts in Canada.

Holy crap, that Countryman and Celica are sweet.

Well, I'm one of those "people" you speak of, but you're exactly right. Anyway, I'm sure the cards will look at lot nicer in the flesh.
