Anyways, did some digging of the other lines of HWs and noticed that the Boulevard Porsche 914-6 in the sneak peeks looks nothing like the one on the shelves. Any idea as of why?

Ah ok, I do find it a tad interesting with those wheels. Reminds me of the classic Porsche RS wheels.... But I can't complain about the current one.

Damn that countryman wrc is epic. Ive been thinking about it for ages, mattel needs to get the red bull/PD lisence to make a x2011 casting. Its probably the only imaginary car id debate buying.

Yes! I'm in favor of seeing the X2 and X1 as a HW car. I would buy the AutoArt one, but that price......

Until I get the funds for the 1:18 scale a 1:64 should do me just fine.

That's not a bad thing since people rip and throw their cards out right after. And for those who do keep the cards on, sucks to be you, but you'll live with it.

I'm one of the "keep cards" collectors, mostly for storage and for the collectors cars. But I need to see them personally, but they'll grow on me though.

Ah ok, I do find it a tad interesting with those wheels. Reminds me of the classic Porsche RS wheels.... But I can't complain about the current one.

Now those wheels fit the 914 perfectly. Yeah they do look like the old school RS wheels of the 911. But any old school JDM and EDM wheels look good on both cars (excluding the US and Aussie Muscle, old school muscle looks good with American Racing Razors and Torque wheels.)

Now I'm thinking of a BMW 2002ti with Watanabes or Equips wheels. 💡

Those wheels suit that 914 perfectly. Such a pity, that I'm yet to come across any Boulevard's down here.

That garage in the dark was the most convincing of them all. The others, not so much. I've been thinking about creating a small scale garage replica for future pictures myself, but I need stuff to replicate stuff you'd have in a garage, like fuel tanks, spare tires, red tool toolboxes and hundreds of different bottles; oil, windshield fluid, grease, wax, etc.

I actually want to make one that literally looks like I torn a piece of the garage floor and wall out, have it on a pedestial so I can put it away and bust it out for quick pictures more easily.

That's a great idea, Andy, do join me in the modelling thread when you have some diorama shots. The pic of the cluttered garage is cute (though a bit of a fire hazard ) The scenes I'm thinking of go more along these lines:

First to market cars, Kmart exclusive cars, Kmart mail in promo, and a chance to open fresh Hot Wheels boxes. I'm going for the 20 cars for the promo and hopefully some errors or variations.

Starts at 8 in the morning if I recall correctly. I usually get there at least an hour early, just incase more people than expected show up. Bring something to cut the tape on the boxes and a good attitude.
