Currently trading someone for one of those Bread Box hunts. đź‘Ť

I get the feeling that car was inside the box I opened at the K-Mart event, but I'm not going to think about that too hard(it will be a kick in the jimmi jammer).

Just more sharing.

Go back and check.

I know for a fact there were none at the store I went to. I checked another store on my lunch today and didn't see one.

I thought about getting the one of the right, then I completely forgot about it. :P I think they went for $20~$30, something like that?

It's long gone by now. It was when they called my number, got to open a box, saw car just like that, but we had like 2 minute limit, so I didn't look very closely. I did look at the wheels, it had standard wheels like in the pic, I moved on. I'm positive that someone picked it up after I went through them, as people called toward the end had to go through sloppy seconds, or the free-for-all following. I don't care that much for it to be honest.

Here's a somewhat better photo. *Somewhat*

Very nice.đź‘Ť
Edit: Check out what I just found posted on HWC:

Holy crap.

I can't believe, we're talking about 2013 cars already. Geez time flies.

Sidenote: Vspec is going to have a heart attack, when he see's that Corolla and 510 Wagon.

He is always having a heart attack. He is Mr. Cardiac Arrest himself.

P.S. I really like undarken's cars. Class!

Omg dat corollaaaaaaaaaaaa. Although the tampos and ride height.... Ugh the overfenders look really sloppy, but that is a new MUST HAVE for me

I think it's safe to say that we'll buy more than just one on this particular hot wheel. :D

Haha that AE86 is hilarious.

In other news I finally found the Z4 GT car the other day. This car is freakin' awesome, it's probably the nicest HW I have right now. Great proportions and stance, nice wheels, tasteful tampos, incredibly detailed interior, and I love the fact that they've made the hood vents out of clear plastic and have detail behind them. Totally awesome.

Think that might be a pre-production version.

Yup, with a little patience you can easily get them for less than $25.
I simply love all 4 kmart mail-in for 2011 but the charger still eludes me. 2012 mail-in are meh.

*TDU garage pics snipped*

Thanks, Daz. Now look what you made me do ; --

Cool thread Harry, đź‘Ť i'd love to do something like those TDU garages aswell, but i think it might be a bit too ambitious for me.
Some great tips and pics in your thread though (love the 512 Ferrari pic=Awesome ). It may take me a little while to get around doing a diorama, but as soon as i do, i'll be sure to contribute a pic or two to the thread.

@ R1600.
Great looking display case, i love how neat it looks, and the car selection/order also. đź‘Ť

Not really diggin the Initial D-esque 86.. i know it's probably pre-pro, but it looks really sloppy (imo), and although i have several HW HR's, the cast of it is quite terrible (looks like it suffered a roof chop like the HW's S15 Silvia)... i wish they'd done a better cast. :indiff:
On a positive note, the 2013 ML Celica looks awesome! (can't wait to get one).

The Corolla wagon is a must grab.

Hot Wheels need to make an S13 or S14 Silvia. An Aristo or JZX100 would be awesome too.

Datsun 510 wagon. ;)

Edit: Better pics of the AE86.

Edit 2: When asked about Hotwheels releasing more JDM cars, one of the designers had this to say:

We're going to be covering as much of this ground as we can in the coming months under the direction of our resident expert, Jun Imai. You'll be seeing some great new stuff, as well as some updated faves.

Wrong way round, Harry. Jeff should be the one on his roof. :sly:

 yup, but I am so tired of him being a sissy and not thrashing everybody up - so I had to fantasize a bit to calm my rage. :) Wish I had a #24 Monster Truck - sure diorama of Jeffy running over the crushed cars of several drivers ;) I could think of! :)

Back in a moment with some new pics - have to dive into PB for awhile.

So I'm seated at my desk about to chomp on some chocolate coated cookies - and I've got 5 HWs - four from my large score recently and one from before that I had been aching to open but was putting off for the right moment - and this was it.

717.jpg

Started off with the new Fast Gassin':

719.jpg

721.jpg

Rather odd colours, hardly any metal in it - almost all plastic. The '70 Chevelle SS Wagon in the background was next - great one to customise, I may get another as stock. Flame tampos are quite nice.

722.jpg

Next was an old favourite - I pick up every variation I see - ye olde '68 El Camino - but this one has some real bite to it. Tampos are nice though (as usual) off-register.

724.jpg

And another angle: excuse my candid shots, I'm no Cano.

723.jpg

Next was the '69 Dodge Charger - another one for my collection of Chargers Vs Challengers - this one is an Ocala (Florida) patrol car, and also fits nicely into my Police fleet.

726.jpg

FI-NA-LLY!!! The car I was waiting to open:

729.jpg

'69 Pontiac GTO Bham Patrol Car:

I artsy-fartsyfied the pic a bit, to use here and there (mostly there ;) )

730.jpg

And then it was time to open the cookies. But this isn't the food thread. :sly:

Picked up a mad manga recolor as well as a decades McLaren F1 :)
Passed on a decades AE86 (blister was seriously damaged), and blvd 914. Was also debating on the cars 2 Shu Todokori, i mean i like the casting and the bbs comp wheels are awesome (debated wether or not theyd fit into a hot wheels car; same size but the axels are WAY wider) and i doubt ill ever see one in some time, but i passed

There was a fantasy car in the FTE lineup and the front end looks so much like the GT by Citroen lol

Edit: walmart sells black and decker handheld power screwdrivers as well as black and decker 5/32 drill bits and i was curious if those would work to dissassemble these. Probably the wrong thread, but just posting so i dont forget later

That Toyota GTOne-looking one from Cars 2's pretty nice. My nephew's Half-Japanese, so I got him one. Walmart had those Cars 2 cars for $1.99 or something like that for a long time. Had they stayed at that price, I wanted Scion-looking police officer/car thing for myself, but unfortunately, I think they are closer to $4 now. :dopey:

I just got a medium sized RYOBI 9.6v cordless drill at Home Depot for $30 yesterday. Works like a charm. :)
I'm sure you could find one cheaper though.

What exactly do you mean by a 'handheld power screwdriver, Otaku?' Look for one that you hold the way one holds a gun, not the one that you hold like you would a regular screwdriver.

Edit: Dremels are great - but eventually you're going to feel limited - so look for a Ryobi or Makita or such-like. Or if you can find one from Milwaukee Tools. ;)

Maybe now he's growing his moustache back, he'll regain his old powers. :dopey:

Nice pictures as always, especially digging the Chevelle SS Wagon, El Camino and GTO. ( one of my all time favourite cars)

I just realized that I already have that Corolla. I looked it up and it first appeared in the 2006 First Editions. It's was white with withe a black hood with a red star on it. It had FTEs on it if I remember right.

Lemme show you if i can grab a pic offa the interwebz. It did look like a gun, it didnt have a "screwdriver" head in, but i'm not sure if it fits the drill bits. I was kinda confused at the bits because they don't look quite big enough to fit into the drills. :/ probably missing some adapter somewhere

it was 20 bucks

Drill bit should be 3/16"

You don't have that exact one though, its a 2013 car. ;)

Basic cars cost USD$3 and classics cost USD$8 here which makes RLC stuff more reasonable to buy.

........XsnipX......

Welcome to the thread, undarken. Sorry to hear about your plight - yes, I've heard S'pore is crazy that way - have some friends that I met through eBay. Remember many of us are only to willing to help out by trading/mailing, etc.

Also - and I recommend this to all newcomers to the thread - read up as much as possible - explore this thread - and it may be the only thread you'll spend time with here, as well as learn a huge amount of stuff.
In fact there is more customisation talk and tips in here, buried deep now in the past, than has yet to fill the actual customisation thread.
And then there are the tons and tons of fabulous cars that hardcore guys like Cano, DW, Carless, 'Ben, $miglo, Apokalipse - (there I go making a list again . . .)

Just beware of a6m5 and Captain Cardiac. They're hardcore in disguise.

A modicum of cussing ocassionally breaks out with a few snarls and some spitballs - that you will have to ignore. Or at least pretend to ignore.

Cheers,
Harry.
