Very recent purchases.

finally completed the 2012 HW Racing Stock Car series... that makes 2 series I've completed. Will ditch the rest though.

I'll try to take more care with the storing of my cars now, but it's mostly just thrashed oldish mainline stuff, I'll put them in with more care from now on though.

I found TWO A-Team vans at Theisens. I only got one because the other one had the hell scratched out of the paint

Are those rare? Passed a few of those a few months back, didn't really care for them.

Is the blue special edition Camaro rare too? Found one of them before but already had a Camaro of the same gen.

@A6: Yes, let's bring the Skyline GTRs, S15s, Pulsar GTis, Stgeas, Enuos Cosmos, Lan Evo 1-7s, GC8 WRXs (the turbo ones), Falcons, VIs, Cosworth Sierras, Moranos, Utes,, RS Cosworth Escorts, RS2s, TVRs, Caterhams and many more rare but common cars of every country!! Who's with me? ;):sly:

If you really want a Monaro the newer gen ones are already in the US. They are the new Pontiac GTO's. Ive also heard that Holden will be exporting V8 Commodores to the US as a Chevrolet SS but if you cant wait for that they were sold as Pontiac G8's.

Am I the only one who's okay with Surfin' Crates? There's so much more worse looking castings out there...

I'll take that TH if you hate it so much.

All you guys stacking HW's on-top of Hw's are doing it wrong... why not just wrap them in thick kitchen roll before you stack them?

It's only the 4th TH I've ever seen. I picked off the peg and said to myself "I really don't care how awful it is, it's mine".

When I found mine, I gave it to Ahmed. It's horrid, and I'm not talking about the casting (AOS), but about the paint, wheels, everything.

Takes up valuable space.

Paint scratching/stone chips don't happen if the cars don't rub against each other like mad. If they don't move at all, they don't rub. That's why you have to put them in neatly in the boxes. I've stored them like this for years without ever having any damage to them, and I'm not joking:

outdated picture of how my boxes folder looks. Now it's on 29 boxes.

I'm not disputing what you're saying Cano, and i believe what you say (about you personally not experiencing any damage)... it's just that if you wrap them in kicthen roll, you pack out the gaps, thus eliminating damage.

Though i imagine you in particular, would require a whole rainforests worth of kitchen roll to wrap your entire collection.

Same with the Surfin' School Bus, annddd.....all the other Hot Wheels in history.

Oh come now, there are some exceptions. I think the '69 Camaro Convertible that comes in the Chevy 5-pack from '11 looks better than just about any and every other paint job they gave it. And the Porsche 911 GT1's First Edition paint job doesn't hold a candle to the later Champion Racing team livery that was applied.

But I do know what gross exaggeration is, so forgive me.

Damn it, I was at Toys R Us, who I know carries Hot Wheel storage cases, but I forgot to look! :ouch:

I was ALL over the frigging place this morning, looking for this stupid Transformer toy that were sold out everywhere. I finally found three at Toys R Us, and I took two. Anyway, these were accidental finds in the process:

I didn't even want the Treasure Hunt Camaro Police Car, but hey, it's a TH. :dopey: 599XX, I wanted another one so I can open her up!

Wow. That. Is. Old school.

Yes, and it's available for any potential trade. :sly:

Hardcore, Phil, hardcore(you were Phil, right? If not, you can slap me).

Ok, I'll think about that soon though. And yes, my name is Phil. ;)

And why the hate to the Transformers? ;)

I don't even buy much stuff from Toys R Us anymore because they're so expensive. Apart of course from the Greenlight two car 1:64 dioramas and M2 two car lift sets for $7. :P

Same here, only if they have a car(s) that I'm looking for or any special items that I want. So I don't spend that much time in TRU.

And my closest TRU is in the mall just south from the Las Vegas Strip and I went there around 5, 6 since yesterday when browsing around, they have empty pegs like crazy and nothing new. I can count one of my visits, I scored the red Caterham and a NSX. Then the next, the black Caterham, Plum Crazy Cornet, AEM S2Ks and a teal Challenger RT. That's all.

Have I mentioned that CVS and Walgreen's Pharmacies are good places to pick up cars?

Well they are.

Besides their crazy pricing, TRU's $1.09 seems better, you can always find something in the stores. I can't count on my fingers every time I go to these stores, I can find something that I was hunting for. It's a goldmine!

GTPorsche
I had no idea that places like CVS and Walgreens even had Hot Wheels.

O_o

You've got the answer to the car that I was going crazy for in your first pic. The 2013 GTS.... FINALLY!!! :D

One down, 2-4 more SRT to go.

Thanks Ben for telling me about the G8 is a USDM Commodore. I knew that car has something familiar to the G8, but I didn't get the chance to look it up. :dunce:

Yep, I know that the GTO is the Morano. Love that car, been in one at a GM show one and rode in it around a made up track at the show as well.

haha, cool. It will give you back your entire spendings for that meeting, and most likely way more. See? That's why I buy stuff in lots, the remaining cars usually pay for the ones I keep, and more often than not I get a nice profit which goes to buying more cars (:

I told them. I really hope they have already put their cars in a more human way in those containers. They just can't do that.

Bought 5 cars at wallmart a 1968 white and gold stripe gt500, a grey VW golf gti, a white Mini cooper s challenge, a matchbox 1964 austin mini cooper, and a 1967 lotus europa special.
