As far as my memory serves, Dr. Ford, this was hidden amidst the collective arrogance of in-your-face knock-offs from a Chinese-made set of 100 cars that I acquired probably about 20 years ago. For the life of me I'll never be able to track down the source.
It's one of the oldest cars to survive the psychotic rut of collecting (you know how it is - we give up, then we start again, then we stop (like Kato a6m5,) then we go crazy again, then we realise it's taking over our lives, attic, office drawers, then we slow down, then we get mad at everybody else who is still collecting, then we go on a binge . . . you must have had a lot of patients with such tormenting maladies.
The fact that the Stratos was good enough for them to copy - even so long ago, says a lot about the iconic image of the car to these toy car makers, eh?
