Top-left's one of my favorites. Casting, colors(including the white wheels), they just work. 👍
DriftySpeedster: Stay away from that a6m5 character, he has quite the bite.

What the french, toast? I'm the nice one!

Harry & Jarrod: I've gotten only three cars this week! I still have a few I want, but it's a very short list. Shorter now that I've ordered the Super Treasure Hunt Trans Am(finally & yes, I paid FULL retail).

P.S. My two lost packages never turned up. I don't know what could have happened, as they show delivery scan(it's a P.O. Box!). Same week, they gave me somebody else's package, so maybe they weren't stolen, but they are getting extremely careless. I returned my misdelivered package, I wish they return mine. Some super sweet cars in there, totaling probably about $30 between two packages. :(

WTH is it with USMail? Who was the carrier, anyway?
The only time I traded with someone in the States (not purchased, traded) I never received the package.
I have bought stuff from the States - from jams to Zippos, and they've all arrived - but, yeah, they may be getting careless sometimes.

Dang, you too? Sorry to hear that bud.

I actually had same P.O. Box for probably like a decade, and this is only the second & third time I can remember when I didn't get my package. It only hurts this time, because one of the packages contained couple of cars I long coveted. :(

I do get other people's mail from time-to-time, so maybe this happens more than I realize.

P.S. I'm starting to see the new Boulevards now, but they are all Corvette, Fiero and I think I saw a R5. I got extremely lucky in that first encounter when I scored two 510s, Skylines & R5s. We'll see if the trend continues.

Retro Entertainment is still scarce, also. I've yet to see Ghostbusters & Mystery Machine.

Jokes man, jokes!

I've been meaning to send Andy a package for too long now and when I finally do it tomorrow while I'm out, I am going to use the best and fastest method to be certain he gets it no matter the cost.

I've always thought that our mail service was pretty good. Maybe they just don't like the idea of grown men trading toy cars. :yuck:

I'd better get my hands on those Fieros soon, or.. . .

I had good reason to buy all those M3s. A very legitimate one - not just that one cannot have too many M3s.

I doubt that. Without the Hot Wheels community, they'd be broke even worse than they are now. :P

I'm a MR2 guy. I still think the first Boulevard Fiero's the best I've seen.

Uh-huh. j/k No, I'm bit curious about it, but I'm sure you got something planned there.

^
I don't see how, they're only losing $50,000,000 a day.

Did/do you own a Fiero Harry?

Yes. Strangely that was a car that passed through my stables.
And you guessed right; I have a lot of buddies who own M3s (or who did own one).
When I put one into their hands, they're going to love it.
Quite often I'll buy a car that someone owns in real life and give them the diecast copy.
Never fails to work.
People love to have models of the real car they own.

I remember when I put the Celica into my bro's hands (he owned one). He freaked out with such a big smile. Now I've seen it in his glass cabinet - like some rare and expensive model.
Dollar HW.

I've been thinking about doing that with a friend of mine that owned an EP3 Civic Si and then traded up last year to a 2006 Mustang GT.

His dad always had M3s as well, I think mainly E46s though.

Try a diecast '06 Mustang GT on your friend - and watch him handle it like it was the real thing. The 'ownership' somehow seems to get transfered.
I would bet every GT-R owner has a model of their car. Well. Pretty much every one except for the car guy who actually isn't, and yet has a GT-R.

Edit: I have so many cars to open - including a Maisto elite-transport that has a lime-green Z28 on the bed.
Also several 1:32s. And a 1:32 Transport hauling a Mini and a lime green Murcie.

In terms of 1:64s I have the Team Hotwheels '84 Pontiac with the new 'High Speed Wheels' - ugly as hell but very fast, no doubt about it - when it comes to wheels, nothing beats HW.

a6m5 - you were querying about actual racing with HWs? Oh! yes, yes, yes.

I actually already have that Hot Wheels casting, I'll just need to paint it black and put some Torque Trusts on it. The Mustang that is. I believe it is a 2005, but it won't matter obviously.

I think it would be really interesting - for me at least - to hear all the regulars of this thread's car history. 'Specially Cano's.

Also - unless you have been lurking in this thread for years - go back and read a lot of the pages - there's great pics, some good info, and even some jokes you wouldn't want to miss in your life. ;)

You sure that's a good idea? All of the "Screw you" & "Go to hell" posts, might scare him away.

Nothing new to report guys. Been through 3 bins and still haven't found a treasure hunt. At least I got those errors. Kind of wished I knew about the dollar deal at Walmart earlier so I wouldn't have had to buy all those cars I already had for $1.37, because that could've potentially save me up to $10!

Anyhow, I grabbed 2 more 1970 Celicas to customize in the future...I might grab more before the deal goes out.

Looks peachy, then.

Hey! Roger! Here's some artistic blur for you. Hopefully artistic and I'll get a bouquet and not a brickbat.

Edit: I prettied it up, too! :)

Yup, I've done that. It's pretty cool.

You fail people. I customize them to be their car (:

Ok so I don't precisely do it, but I've just started. A friend, who is the one that happpens to receive a lot of the cars I buy at his P.O. Box, recently finished putting together this:

8526425465_8144ddfd15_b.jpg

And what shows up in this years line-up? The 70 Camaro Road Racer in black is like if it was his car with the exception of the flat hood. Friday I removed all the tampos and yesterday I retouched the stuff that got missing paint because of it and swapped in grey Co-Molded 5s very similar to the Vintage Wheelworks V40s he has on the car; I only have to paint the interior and chassis black and it's freaking done. I gotta keep him happy lol.

He also has a 89 RS Camaro for which I already have a sample of the original paint and a HW IROC from last year, I just need to fabricate the hood.

Another friend who rocks this:

Will also be getting one done. I just need to find the base car, lol.

Weeeell, I've finally gone through all of the posts I've missed, so, here we go!

Can't say no to free cars.

Also, Lamely just posted this and I MUST have it. I will buy it, somehow.

Oh wow, I must try and find that. May see if my local(ish) hobby store could bring it in. Any info on it R1600? I searched it up on the Internet and found practically nothing.

Some more JDM love here.

KONAMI 1:64 Subaru Legacy 2.0GT Spec B:

It has opening doors and a working suspension similar to a Tomica model, but the price is the same as a Kyosho.

I WANT THAAATTTT!!!! I doubt they make the 2nd gen Legacy wagon though...

Ah, a fan of 2nd generations/BH5s now are we? Glad to see I've transferred you... :P

(If my memory seems correct. Didn't you say you were a fan of 3rd or 4th generations in Turbo Lag's Legacy thread? If you my memory fails me I'm gonna look like a total doofus.)

Anyways:

:sly::P

Hot damn that is sweet! I'm even gonna go search for it right now!
I second this, especially in that colour.
I third the Subie. Fricking sweet. 👍
And I'm filled with jelly also. I need a Subie Legacy in my Subaru collection, GIVE IT TO MEEEEE........

Woah, didn't think something like a 3rd or 4th generation Legacy would get this much positive feedback! :D

Nice to see the R35 GT-R back and nice to see the Supra in a decent scale...apart from the decals and spoiler... And the wheels seem a bit wrong for that car. They should totally add the black Hakosuka from Fast Five into the mix! Also the R33 from the first movie, I want an R33! And I don't care how many people dislike it, I love the R33! I must be weird...
Oooh, cool! Glad they're bringing back the castings I missed when I wasn't a 'real' collector. Probably gonna be $5 - $10 here though, if they even decide to sell them here. :'(

Don't worry, you're not alone. I really like the R33 too, probably in my top four or five Skylines/GT-Rs.

Im not trying to go off topic, but has anyone here ever played Test Drive for the Playstation 2? (Also known as Test Drive Overdrive)

IGCD.net, you may find what you're looking for there! :)

My latest e-Bay purchase.

Tomica Limited Nissan Skyline 2000GT-B.

That is so awesome! I love older Japanese cars.

A Gran Turismo Box Set. There are a Eunos Roadster, NSX Type S, Castrol Supra GT, Nismo GT-R LM, S13 Silvia K’s and a Evo IV Lancer GSR. Now just to rub it in a bit more.

The Gran Turismo 2 Box Set. In this set there are a RX-7 Type RS, R34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec, S2000, Kure R33 Skyline GT, Lancia Stratos and a Mini Cooper 1275S MK1.

Just like Kyosho, it comes with a card.

More pictures later.

Quality. That's so cool. 👍

...

Wooweee, finally got there!

They're all pretty ugly I think. That won't stop me from buy them and trying to complete the whole series though.

Found out the Target at Square One opens in April. I'll bet they'll have these Zamacs if they decide to use new stock rather than old crap.

Also, still never found a single Zamac here yet. If anyone can grab me one (preferably two) of the R32 and '66 Nova, I'd greatly appreciate it.

P.S. I blacklisted the '66 Nova and am willing to breaking it since it turns out I really like the casting after all.

I see what you did there. Real nice Legacy wagon by the way. 👍

hehehe I'm one of those guys, and not only the model of the real car, I mean, the exact replica of the real one, I don't know why but Im sure nobody can call me crazy in here, cause we are all infected by the same illness 👍

I am so HAPPY tonight guys. I got a notice left in my P.O. Box saying I received a package. I don't even know what I order anymore, I ask about the lost packages again, they weren't insured, they can't do anything, then the post office lady goes to get my package........ you guessed it. They found one of the two lost packages, and it's the one I really wanted!

That Caddie woodie-hearse thing's so long, I threw in a hachiroku for comparison. That Dodge Van is JL and I absolutely love it(my all-time fullsize van). Lotus is a James Bond & also a JL. Tyrrell is a childhood Tomica thing(wasn't mine, but friend had one), Pantera's a Matchbox.
New Zamacs showing up at Walmart.
For me, "GT-R", The End. :P I'm still gonna buy all three probably, I'm also thinking 1-1-2(GT-R).
a6m5 - you were querying about actual racing with HWs? Oh! yes, yes, yes.
That flipper thing at the goal line's trick. If I had that thing when I was a kid, I'd so have cheated without those flippers recording your places.

P.S. I blacklisted the '66 Nova and am willing to breaking it since it turns out I really like the casting after all.
So disappointed in your right now. When I say I quit something, I drop the mothatrucker, period. Done. :P
