For part two of the Sunday pic show, here's some random photos of cars that have recently gained freedom from their prisons.

I don't mind the wheels on the Sesto Elemento, but they should have gone with the matte black w/ red rims, or a dark grey. Not white and green.

I must get that Viper, although Im guessing its going to be a ebay purchase to get one. I still havnt seen the original one on the pegs down here yet. The New York Auto Show Viper I have came from ebay and the regular release that I have came from Medigo.

Great stuff all round guys, so much awesome stuff:drool: and that BRE A6, I so need that:eek:

Some grabs from last week, couple more Herbie's, Mystery Machine and grabbed the 5-pack for the GMC Pickup

Some Foose M2's & 60th Anniversary BMW R1200, now I only need one more for the complete set:D

and lastly picked this lot up off eBay for $26, I was pretty happy with that considering what some sellers try to get for them:)

$26 for those cars was an absolute steal.

also, I really need to look into that Cool Classics Barracuda. It really looks the part, great psychedelic paintjob.

Yellow Viper? I KNEW IT WOULD COME!

Also, my premium Hot Wheels Edsel collection is complete (for now). The Classics pink Edsel (chase) came in.

But after seeing the spectraflame black and spectraflame red Fish'd & Chip'd with real riders, I fear I may be missing out on the blue and black chase version of the Edsel.

My hopes are high that I'll find that RX-7 and Civic EF. If they're not worth too much I'll likely customize them, which will likely be documented in the Customizing Thread. I haven't been HW hunting for a long time; maybe for Christmas I'll get some cars. The name of a holiday in that last sentence being why I haven't added to my collection, for those who might have been wondering.

This Blown Delivery didn't do it for me at the time. Now that I opened one(blue, 2011 selections), I find this one very cool. Also love that 'Racing' Silverado. One of the cars I'd like to add to my collection eventually. 👍

We all do my friend, all of us. :D

Great pick ups, but $26 for Initial D is an absolute steal. Nice job!
My negotiated secret Rip Rods "VHTF" box came in.

What the flack is up with this shot, Andy! I can't see the cars! :banghead:

Nice pick up on the new(old) Civic though. I'm jealous!

P.S. I also like the yellow Viper(nice shade of yellow, too) & carfanatic diorama shots look nice. 👍

They are sweet. Best of luck to all of us!!!

Surely you can identify what they are, which is all that really matters in these kinds of photos ;)

And just to repost it for the recent new faces since it's not going to be fun with only 3 people taking part...

I'm doing a giveaway and you guys are welcome to take part absolutely free of charge:

original post is here.

The goal is simple: guess how many cars are in this photo. There are no tricks up my sleeves. I did not hide any cars just out of the photo, it's literally just that pile of cars you see there. That is the highest resolution I have for it, take your best guess. Contest closes December 1st whenever I wake up and check back. :P

I'm gonna guess 222.

We want to see the cars, Andy. Especially rare(r) cars that we don't see on pegs!

Still waiting for your CM's to arrive, and I hope you take better picture than that Canuck up north.

Edit;

It does. I love puzzles.
I love your avatar, and its green general color. I'd love to see you experiment with other colors though, that'd be very cool!

Still waiting for your CM's to arrive,

You and me both. They were posted 7 days ago tomorrow, stuff from Hong Kong normally takes around a couple a of weeks to get here. So fingers crossed, next week. 👍

Edit: Looks like I was late to the party on this. Poo. :grumpy:

Yes, this happens to be my 'standard' avatar - the one I used from the beginning, and the one most familiar to the 'oldest' buddies I have on here - so you would know the thinking behind it (having being one of the first to speak to me here, and believe me - there are folk that have never exchanged a word with me, yet.) It used to be from the collection of standard avatars that Jordan used to provide in 'the old days' - and because it was a 'collection' of cars it felt right for me. Also I'm a 'green' guy. ;)
The idea was to keep changing the cars, but provide the same 'look' for easy identification - a very important point in avatars. For instance, Jordan's avatar is unmistakable - very familiar, and easily spotted even buried in a page of posts. This is because it has stayed consistent; avatars being constantly changed throw off the identity that one is trying to build with it (which is the whole idea of an avatar actually: recognisability, and therefore identification.)

When I'm in a different mood - say I've made up my mind to tackle a huge philosophical discussion with a bunch of savages, or go 'hard-core gamer' in the primary gaming forums - then I tend to put my 'warpaint' on - which would be a different avatar altogether, and not having anything to do with collecting model cars.

I may change the background the next time for a lark, just to keep you happy. ;) Watch for new cars.

I don't know what this means. I was at the stand of pegs, found a $TH '87 Toyota Truck and an error (front axle missing). The truck had the same appearance as the Hot Ones.

Then I woke up.

At first I was like: "What the hell is he talking about, there's no..."

Oh. :P
