Came into contact with a collector today. He was out for them EFs.

I on the other hand didn't find a PR5 Impreza but did find about 4 red E30s with the rollcage (bought two), a Horeseplay wheel error and the 8C.

I also found plenty of DB5s which I decided to pass on.

No pictures. I'm too lazy right now.

It's ridiculous how many THs I've found. I'm over ten T-Hunts with not a single one being bought on the secondary market. And that's all in three years since I found my first.

All the E30's I've picked up and tossed to the other side of the dump bins have all had a roll bar. Didn't really think much of it.

For the celica collectors from cm's models.

Probably there are also secret versions to each serie.
(I have almost all lancia's from them.)

Here at the top all cars from them.

Here are the two discussed celica's.

.........................Your new avatar and Dr Nessy's name change threw me at first. I was like, who are these guys?

There is only one Dr.Nessy Ford. Hide all cars.

@photonrider, here are all my Caddilac LMPsView attachment 84702

I see you have only the three you displayed originally, then. There's a lot more variations to collect, eh?
I was pleasantly stunned by your display - nice way to show off your cars - see, the 'workshop' comes in handy, hm? And I see you're mastering your backgrounds - it's a pleasure to view a collection this way.
The sizes don't bother me - in fact when the silver M3 is thrown up on a 50 inch screen it pulls you right into the picture - nice angle of attack, and shows off a popular model in a whole new way.
I would think everybody here would have one or more of those M3s.
The DBS looks so delicious, you've caught the curves, and grunt of the car beautifully, and really shows off a facet of collecting we all love - just admiring our models.
Haven't found one myself yet - but when I do, I hope I see multiples. :D

You probably have that display set up all the time with some bunch of cars or another to admire as you walk by or work near it.
I have lots of such constructions around my place, and I really enjoy the feel of my collections this way.

What? What!?

Just wait and see, Shinji. ;)
Lancer..... oh, man the Lancer. It's been on my radar for awhile, but I've yet to connect.

Highly recommend it. Really nice details like the spotlights on the front, Mitsubishi logo's on the mud flaps and yes it does have a spare wheel in the back.
Is it my early Christmas present?

What did you tell me the other day? Keep dreaming? Yeah, that.👍
Edit: I just realized that name on the base is different + they have different numbers on the front bumper cover.

Actually prefer how mine looks with the headlights in the down position, but how did I miss that in the first place? And mine has a different (slightly crappy) front wheels too, which I only just noticed now in @Ramanujan post. Thanks for that by the way. 👍

Indeed.

I was actually amazed at a6m5's 'collector memory' about the open/closed lights. We get so close to our cars, that if there's something odd, warning bells go off.

:P

That was easy. Plastic tires on the Speed Machines on the other hand......

Lancia 037 Rally 1984 Sanremo. Bought this not knowing what the hell it even was.
👍

:P

:boggled: WTF, Andy?
No one is that lucky, man. Jeez.
*squirts jelly all over it.

And in kicks my case (more or less) of Collector's OCD.

 Yup, it's in the blood.

No. Wah!

Thanks guys, i like the cm's for the detail they have in 1/64. And i like all abarth stuff. (like the integrale and 037)

P.s. Catalunya is a place where they would hold a rally.

You asked for more info, and I'll gladly give it to you. Yes, the base does say, "MADE IN FRANCE." The condition my casting is in is one, maybe two steps below mint. And again, it is loose.

Then you're looking at a solid $5-6 bucks, maybe someone will give you $8 for it but that's a long stretch.

It's ridiculous how few THs I've found. I'm over ten T-Hunts with not a single one being bought on the secondary market. And that's all in three years since I found my first.

Fixed.

Holy hell.

And how much will Cano take for his $5.00 Gremlins? If he were to part with them, that is (never mind market value.) ;)
Lowest price you would get rid of them for?

Yellow Ferraris:

Green Grmelin:

$5. Or even better, trade. Cheap cars have gotten me splendid cars in trades because, again, they're not common here.

Went ahead and ordered the remaining planes.

Here's what I have that's waiting to be pinned up to the display case:

ybsm.jpg

From left-to-right, top to bottom:

Battle Raptor (based off the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 I believe)
Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II
Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk
Biplane (based off some WWI fighter)
Dive Bomber (based off some actual bomber plane; duh)
F/A-18/Super Hornet
P-38 Lightning

These ones didn't make it in:

ybcz.JPG

1996 (Tyco era) Matchbox F-117 Stealth Fighter ("first editions")
Stealth Attack
A-10 Fairchild Thunderbolt
SR-71 Blackbird
Stunt Plane

The Stunt Plane was set to be in until I decided to make the entire cast military planes so it had to be taken out. I admired that polished unpainted casting that I mounted it on the stand that came with the P-38. The Blackbird, Thunderbolt and F117 were way smaller than the rest of the planes so they looked really awkward together. If any one wants to get their hands on anything in this photo (other than the Stunt Plane), PM me.

That plane you seemed to be referring to as the "Stunt Plane", doesn't it look awful lot like P51 Mustang?

Pretty productive day, I must say. First, Walmart:

Found the top one first. I knew about the PR5 variation which is VHTF so when I found the top one I saw the front wheel first and freaked out. Then I saw the rear and disappointment set in. Then a couple rows over I found the bottom one, full PR5. :D

DSCN5918_zpsd5b0ec92.jpg

Grabbed one of each with and without the roll bar. First time I have seen the one without the roll bar in this area. Seen hundreds of others with it.

DSCN5920_zps5b53ce49.jpg

And then found this at the grocery store.

DSCN5919_zps708d9d94.jpg

How do you even notice that? I'd hate to miss on the Bimmer(like the color), but I'm gonna probably pass.
Most stunt planes are based off the P-51 anyway. :P
I don't know about 'most', but point taken. :D:tup:
