So I ended up opening all three of the School Busted, because even the one I wasn't that crazy about, it had these coolest wheels.



I have plenty of them in chrome, as seen on the bottom-right. I like most real riders, but not the biggest fan of these wheels. First time ever, I see them in black(top-right). I actually like this. 👍 When I start wheel-swaps in the near future, I'd be looking to paint couple set of these!

So I stopped at 15 stores tonight. That's FIFTEEN stores. Not a damn thing except for a Dodge Challenger Drift Car variation that I left behind, a bunch of Mars Rovers, Datsun pickups, EF Civic's, etc, etc. Only thing I brought home was a Matchbox Audi R8.

I have a question. What is the deal with the blue/teal Hot Wheels Skyline 2000 GT-R(Kenmeri)? I tried googling, but I can not find any information on it. Just another new color variation? Part of a set? Anybody know?

Edit: It's not the part of the Flying Customs, and it also has that "Faster Than Ever" wheels.

It is in copper. I looked on eBay too, couldn't find one. It seems to be either really rare, or brand spanking new.

Edit: Come to think of it, it may not be FTEs.

Careful with that one, look like a dye job. That is not an official release that I am aware of in that color. The fact his name has "kustoms" in it doesn't help.

Well, I'm convinced the car is stock, as he generally sells official retail stuff, and any customs are marked as such. I'll try contacting the guy as nobody's ever seen this thing.

I had never even heard of that, but I just checked out a youtube video on dying hot wheels, and I think you are right. Wheels are same as stock, too.

I don't know what to make of it though. I like the looks of it, but it very well could be scam, too. Huh.

I just got the message back from the seller, and he says he got it from a small collection, and that he thinks it came from a set, but do not know. I guess you could say that this is a lock to be a dye job.

Second, I have a hunch goldfacekandykustoms doesn't really do a lot of customs as he barely seems knowledgeable to the collecting hobby based on how he titles his listings. I've bought a bunch of Chevy Novas from the guy before.

That said, I always question sellers to give me more info on things I'm not sure of. Because if they don't know a thing, I sure as hell wouldn't bite. At the same time, $2.50 ain't a huge loss should you have been scammed in the end. That's as bad as it gets for a shot at really obtaining something rare. Ask LamleyGroup if they know. He gets a lot of tip-offs from people of different regions so he gets words of a lot of things.

Yeah no way it came that way from Mattel. Only two releases are the first edition (white) and the Flying Customs (same blue-ish) and I have not seen a thing on a new release. The black R34 that just hit in the D case is part of the "Now and Then" series so there is a possibility we'll see the 2000GT-R this year but it would also be black.

Which would you rather see make it for the 2014 Then and Now Series to pair up with the R34? The Kenmeri or Hakosuka? It's going to be in the same colour scheme as the R34 if that hasn't already been clear.

I would rather the Hakosuka, but it's not officially labeled as a "GT-R" so I assume we'll get the Kenmeri.

Yeah, I've seen his Dairy Deliveries, but I have no interest in them at this point. I have noticed how high the original 510's been going for. I'd imagine the price hike's driven by new collectors late to the party.

Same. I think it's just a better casting. Hard to describe it, but Hakosuka's proportion seems off to me.
