Same. I think it's just a better casting. Hard to describe it, but Hakosuka's proportion seems off to me.

The proportions are ok until you come to the fender flares, which had to be made way bigger than they would be in a real Hako to fit standard HW-size wheels. Even so I also think it's a fantastic casting, they got it damn right too.

I personally don't mind which one so far. They both are of equal value to me considering how little I know about their history. Although it would be super cool to get a black Hakosuka, a black Kenmeri may be more appropriate for that white/red decal scheme.

Anyhow, I just wasted the past 2--3 hours deciding between a '67 Nova or a '69 Camaro to finish off the Chevy set I have on my desktop; Hot Wheels Boulevards '55 Corvette in red (painted the interior white) and a Jada '59 Impala in eggshell anodized green (the one I recently modded). The Muscle Machines Nova or Camaro was set to be an electric blue to compliment the other two colours. I was going to pick the Nova strictly due to hipster-ism of avoiding the obvious popular Camaro, but the decision was made based off car class and specs, the Camaro having a 5.4L V8 whereas the Nova had a 5.38L V8, both stats based off the 327cu engine.

What I bought today:

More photos later...

Oooo yesss

In the bestest color too :0

There is also the "open headlight" version in which the pop-up lights are up and also comes with a glass engine cover.

There are 4 of those in the set, so that makes them 8.

I bought that thing for 200 Philippine Pesos (around 5 USD).

One person alone doesn't decide the value of it. Plus, he could've modded that for all we know. multi-packs are considerably easy to open without leaving evidence of such.

I'll show you all a counterfeit wheel variation one day. Totally feel free to call me out on it and I'll photograph the base for you. :)

Oh it's real, I trust him. I know that car is out there because there was a photo of one posted before it came out so I expected to see it with the OH5's and the PR5's that's way more common. This guy actually posted it in the 2013 HTF list on HWC and I PM'd him about a trade and he turned me down at the time. Then I just stumbled upon it while browsing Skyline listings on eBay where I found several other cars I need but at $40+ each, too rich for me at the moment.

Edit: Anyone have one of these they don't want?

I'm glad you did say the bestest. I would've been really upset if you hadn't. :D

I always refer to the "completed" search. Of course, sometimes items can be so rare that market value can indeed be set by the handful who are actually willing to sell it.

Walmart = Only credible local hot wheels dealer(OK, maybe Toys R Us, too). Happy hunting!
Only $125? RLC Holiday Drag Dairy's going for $75+(retailed I think $18+shipping). He must need money. $77 investment, you should be able to at least double that, hopefully triple it.

P.S. What is the deal with the Subaru?

Ha, I too only got one single car for Christmas. But I've been looking for it and was glad to finally see it.

Found this set while cleaning out the garage too. Not sure what I want to do with it yet though.

The rest of these I got about a week or two ago but never posted. The F&F Retro car came in the mail. The F&F Impreza I found at Toys R Us while Christmas shopping. Couldn't turn it down. It's 1:43 scale, btw. Lastly, the Fangster. It was sitting at the checkout at TRU. 12 open checkout lanes, give or take, and it was just sitting at the one I happen to chose. Figured, eh, I guess I'll grab it.

The Jetsons car and Connect Cars I'd keep in the package because they might be worth some money some day. Well, okay, all the HW cars. Its really awesome that you found the Brian O'Connor Impreza. Now if I can just find his Skyline R34, and not the HW version.

Those two Fast & the Furious cars are game time decision for me. I stay away from 1/43 & not a fan of the new Challenger, but it is what it is. Fangster is a no-no.

But its a Treasure Hunt. I hog any and all THs when I see them. You might be different, but I haven't been posting here long enough to know how you are with the T-Hunts.

EDIT: Where exactly does the laughter take place?

I realize that it is a treasure hunt, but just look at that thing!

There's an underground movement among collectors that we leave the regular treasure hunts behind if we find them. Since Mattel is ruining what they once were. That Fangster is a great example.

I'd take any T-Hunt, no matter what, but that's just me.

Same applies here.

On the other hand, I'd loved to have found the RX-7 or the WRX STi. RX-7, I think I ended up buying three(1 from Jason, 1 went to Ben), still working on the WRX.

Edit: @DwightSchrute12 - How much are the GL 1/43 F&F cars? I have seen the Gran Torino, but didn't check the price. Your STi do look sweeeeet!

Edit: Australian members?

Treasure hunts suck lately. Nobody wants them. I've bought several extras of many of them to trade/sell only to find myself full of trash. Even the cool ones like the RX7 are treated like average cars. I've also found myself letting them behind. As Jason said, today it's TV cars/$TH or nothing.
