Not to nitpick but decades, plural, implies more than one decade, and seeing as 1 decade ago was a) 2003 and b) the year PB was founded I don't think you were on PB in '93.

I'm sure it does feel like '03 was decades ago.

As for these cars, I've not had any time or funding to look and buy any.
I did snap my bicycle crank and replace it though

You're right, it was merely a figure of speech - I think I joined somewhere in 2003 - 4 . . . so almost a decade. Should have said 'Donkey's ears' - would have made more sense, eh? Yeah, it feels that long.

I know they're old, but I've been wanting to get the three of them together for a while now. And I'm proud to say that I paid about $5.00 for them all.

Brat: $3 from a flea market dealer who had bought the case.
Supra: Free from...you? Err, in a trade of course.
Hare: $2 at TRU.

I scrounged up three lamps around my apartment down at school and bought some whiter bulbs for them all, so I will finally have a decent arrangement as soon as I find my tripod.

I see new collectors are heading over here in droves. 👍

I was hoping that we would get some through this ForzaPlanet merger and it seems we already have.
I was also hoping they would have a thread like this over there and would bring a lot more collectors over.

Kyoshos go for as cheap as $8 and go up to $15-20. Is $3.75 worth it? You do that math. I'd buy that in a heartbeat but I have enough CLK roadsters already. There's also the black and white CLK available if anyone is interested.

If you drill open that car I'll hunt you down to spit in your face. You don't destroy a mint original car like that just because you don't like the wheels. You find another beaten one then fully restore it and do whatever you want with it.

I went around to the usual places (and two not-so-usual) today after classes like I do every Monday afternoon and came back with some decent stuff.
Even though none of it was new.

Walmart: see below
Target: nothing, but almost ALL of their toy cars are on sale.
TRU: nothing
K-Mart: nothing
Hobbytown USA: below
Smart Toys: below

I went to Hobbytown because I remembered that they had old Hot Ones that for some reason I never bothered to buy.
But I picked up the only one that interested me as well as a very small pipe/tube cutter. The Hot Ones were only two bucks. Here it be:

Smart Toys lay within the mall and has their Hot Wheels and Matchboxes overpriced at $1.49, $4.99, and $7.99 for single, three, and five packs.
I do not believe they had anything new, but I got some cars that I liked that I must not have before.

Now for the intriguing bit:
I'm sure you guys are familiar with this Johnny Lightning as it seems to be a peg warmer, or was at some point.
My girlfriend actually has this exact one because she likes VWs a lot.

BUT, this is the one I came across at Walmart:




I didn't know they still made White Lightnings if that's what this even is.

Mine just has about a half dozen different Hot Ones, but many of each.
As well as your typical HO and O gauge cars for train sets.

Edit: Here's what my Hobbytown has. I believe there were only two left of the Combat Medic after I got mine.

Hey guys, I got the latest 24 Ours, and because it was the only one at the store, I wasn't sure if the lack of a border on the logo is an error or not. Normally the Hot Wheels logo is a stylized flame "swoosh" with text inside, but this doesn't have it. Is this an error or have you seen them like this?

I highly doubt it, but even if it was, I couldn't see it being particularly valuable.
That car could have an of four solid gold Real Riders and wouldn't be worth more than a twenty dollar bill.
