I looked at the Speed 6, but I don't know that there is enough cash left over to make it stick to the road. And I think the Zonda is really expensive.

Have you run the Skyline yet? That one should be able to really perform. I did ok in the Impressa (4:43.999) and the MR-2 (4:44.397). Those two times could probably be improved on with some skilled driving. I still need to take the RX-7 RZ for a run. After all, it is one of my top ten favorite cars.

Run that Z06 again - maybe you can knock a couple seconds off. It should have picked up a few more horse power if you ran it enough.

I'm headed to work, so I won't be able to test cars for about 9 hours. But when I get home ... you best LOOK OUT sonny ... I'm breaking 4:30.xxx!! (:

with my rx-7 i got a 4:35.160 pretty easily. I guess when i first tested it when i got 4:40 i figured i was just lucky that one time cuz i demolished the current record. But i'll shave of a few seconds here and there.

I've changed my purchase plans on my recent few cars. I've been getting full suspension and engine effeciency before I go for power. After all, what good is power without control?

I was looking at the 3000GT last night. I ran pretty good times, not competetive but good, but what I was surprised by was the fact it could handle a Stage 4 Turbo ... and I could afford it with the 150,000 limit! But even with all the stability and traction upgrades I did to the car, it still wouldn't stay on the road with low power.

I'm going to give the RX-7 a run tonight. Maybe that'll give me a sub 4:30

oh boy...

looks like...umm...WAPOW!

i got to a:

4:30.402 in my rx-7!

Maybe a little editing needs to be done LM (the Leader Board)

Ok, heres my times.
Skyline gtr vspec (something like that) with 148,000 spent and running ssoft tires and about 510 hp ran a 4:54 time as my best.
I only ran two laps on all my tries and could do better, just dont have the time to really get the thing down. :)
Good times ppl and a diverse selection of cars.

Cool man, glad someone else has chimed in. I like having different cars because more people can get interested. I get tired of everyone racing the same thing and one person running off to the lead. This gives others a chance to 'belly up to the table' with what they've got.

Cool man! I can hardly wait to see what times you pull. That is ... if you actually turn in a time this time and don't just talk trash from the side line.

Count me in! This should be interesting.... :D

FWIW, I have gotten an ITR around CS in 4'50.xxx. I'm not sure how much I had invested in it, tho...

I'll try again with a fresh car.

From the several cars Ive tried, the Skyline was the best handling, just not enough power to really make any headway down the straightaway. Heck, I figure you could lose several seconds if the hp was there to take advantage of the straights. ;)
Im going to try again tonight (hopefully with the same car and maybe a different setup.
Good luck all.

OK, I ran my Evo VI. cr 25,980 purchase, plus cr 115,200 in mods = cr 141,180.

Second lap ever on the course in any car was 5':00.36", including one off when I got air on the first of the whoopsie-dos about 3/4 of the way through. Obviously there's room for improvement...

I turned in a time, not a clean one but it was a time with a 280hp go-kart, it wasnt trash talk, i really thought it could take a stage 3 turbo which in turn could have produced great times.

4'35.998 with the RX-7 146,950 spent, i couldnt set it up right but oh well, i suck at CS.

Here we go:

The tire cost varies from car to car.

This just in...

4'51.842

A little tweaking and a little practice... :) I could go further, but the ITR is not competitive with some of the bigger boys here. I think the Supra RZ is up next.

BTW, Cutieguy, I believe the 150,000 credits includes the purchase price of the car.

...and is it my imagination, or did you just change your username...?

risingson i won the car and i did not put and mods on it because it was already fast i just wanted to make it faster and have better grip i didnt see any rules that you cant already have a car that doesnt have any mods on it. and yes i asked Jordan to change my user name because everybody mistaked me as a girl.

You have to buy the car from the Car Dealer - cars you win are not valid in this challenge.

I guess it'll go forever. No there isn't a physical prize. I guess I could make a custom avatar for the leader ... that could be cool.

The hard part about this challenge is that it costs a LOT of money. I've already purchased and modded about 15 cars. That comes to 2,250,000 cr ... YIKES!
