OK. After your persuasion, LoudMusic, I'm going to give this a shot. I'll see what I can plan out for a car, and post my time. At least this way, the AI can't cheat.

LoudMusic = LM??? ...are you working for PD??? Is that what the LM stands for? Imprezza LM Race car = Imprezza done up to LoudMusic specs?

j/k

Thanks,
AO

well that sucks but why wont any one buy that red race car the one thats 1.5 million cr.? and you gotta say that time was fast right? if you didn't remember: 4'09.782

Hmm Zero I think you were running the wrong zz-s... :P :P I did two laps in the Tommy Kaira ZZ-S with 295 hp at 147,500 credits with a lap of:
T1: 44.720
T2: 1.51.306
T3: 2.56.125
Final: 4.23.537
So I suppose I'm on top of the leaderboard for now. The car had oil change, t8 tires, racing flywheel, triple clutch, racing muffler, racing chip, port + polish, stage 2 turbo, sports brakes, and weight reduction 1 and 2. In addition, I gave the lotus elise sport 190 a go as well at 264 hp and turned out a best lap of 4.29.092. So I'm sure everyone can go faster right?? ;)

I dont think I put on T8's, that prolly what it was frentzey. See I knew the ZZ-S would kill all, just not by me:D

You didnt put a racing gearbox in? did the ZZ-S hit the rev limiter on the big straight?

The ZZ-S came close to maxing out, it was redlining for 4 or so seconds then I braked for the corner so it was ok. There is more time possible here because I had a big mistake in the right-angle turn section. Just a little too much throttle and the zz-s spears off to the side.

Stop driving like HHF please frentzey, jeez I am still no where near that lap, send me your replay so i can follow it :D

Ok I've got 2 more times for everyone from my standard 2-lap trial. First, a 4.21.407 in a Renault Clio V6, and a 4.14.172 in a Corvette Z06. Later!

Are you talking about the Mustang SVT ... oh it is a "Cobra R". Ha ha ...

I gave that car a go around the track and it didn't handle well at all. I need to go back with my second "plan" for modding and see what I can make it do.

Good times you guys! Keep it up (:

I took a good attempt at this last night. I picked out a Honda s2000 Type V and modded it up to 149.550 ( 517HP.)

Then threw it around the Complex string. Keep in mind, I've rarely driven this track, other than to pass the TT. So a new car, on a new track doesn't put me in any position to take the top spot.

My first run was 5'05. next run brought it down to 4'59. Third try brought it down to 4'50.215. There is still major room for improvement, but not enough to come close to the top spot.

If any great drivers out there want to give it a shot...

Honda S2000 Type-V 35,600
Brakes 4,700
Turbo stage 3 42,500
Racing Transmission 10,400
Lightweight 1 1,200
Lightweight 2 5,500
Muffler 4,800
Port Polish 5,500
Racing Chip 1,500
Suspension/ Semi racing 7,400
Clutch 4,700
Oil change 250
Tires – Medium 22,500
Carbon driver shaft 3,000

Total 149,550

Remainder 450

Nest Up Motor sport elise

I haven't done the S2000 yet, but I've been meaning to. I have run the Motor Sport Elise, with little success. The most important thing I do when I mod is make sure I have the biggest and best suspension and light weight. So much time can be saved in the three big technical sections.

I originally ran it with the engine balancing, and cheaper tires. By eliminating the Balancing, and adding better tires I gained time.

I haven't learned all the corners yet, so there is plenty of time to gain.

I am requesting a clarification on the rules. I'm about 75% certain of your answer, but have to ask the question.

First some background. With two memory cards, I can purchase "won" cars for their Dealer price which PD programmed (because they knew people have 2 cards). For an example, I can buy a stock RX-8 that I won, from my second car. According to the listed rules, this would be illegal.

However I was hoping that in the spirit of clean competition, you would allow such cars to be "Purchased". It would have to be an unmodded/ stock car when you purchase it (Rules state that it must be elligible for the Trial Mountain Enduro).

As an example, the RX-8, the Nissan Z and the RSX Type-S all fit this example. They fall under all regulations except for the "Purchase from the car dealer".

Can anyone else offer a show of support, before LoudMusic rules?

Thanks,
AO

but thats not fair than i cant use the viper concept at least my 150000cr challenge has the rules that you can use cars that you have won and F1 cars

Well, ummm, it IS fair, because the whole point of this competition is to see how well you can do with limited resources.

ANYBODY can be fast in a really expensive, purpose built race car... what's the point in that?

Not to me! I prefer things to be more challenging. Hence the restrictions we place on this competition.

Relax a little! Your enthusiasm is appreciated, but don't go overboard. People will read your stuff if they are interested.
:D

It's not a question of fair or not. If you're interested in this competition, join in! If you're not, that's OK too. You've started a different competition that interests you. That's cool. Sit back and watch the results!
