Look man, don't get frustrated by people not joining in on your competition. It took a while for people to even look at my thread, and they probably only did that because it's me. I am the Great and Powerful LoudMusic ... or so I'm told.

Give it some time, and maybe participate in it yourself to give people a goal to shoot for.

Ahh, at last my dance dance revolution game and pads came in this evening! So it looks like no GT3 for a while now, so I'll be out of this competion ... maybe. I need to set up the DDR pads so they grip better, they are quite frustrating when they slip all over the floor. Later guys, I'm sure someone will beat my Corvette time soon, it's really not that fast. I could see 3-4 seconds come off of that with a little time. We'll see though. :D

Well, I picked the Clio Sport from the manufacturers and got it to 505 hp with most of the mods and did keep it under the 150,000 limit. It was close to 149,000 total.
My best run with the car (2 laps is all) was a 4:40.302 on the second lap. Once again, with more time I couldve probably beat that but my time is limited.
Its not the fastest, but competitive.

hello.well....i spent about 148,xxx dollars on a Cobra R and my Time on Complex String was 5'00.431

My time was 5'00.431

Yeah, I think I was right around 5' with the Cobra R as well. It has potential, but it would take a lot of work. You should give the Viper a try ... it did pretty well for me. And the first and second spots are held by Chevys, so that looks like a good place to go as well. I'm trying to find a good Japanese car to mod-up, but they're all coming in right around 4:28.

Yep yep! They do alright. I suggest going after suspension and handling before you dump a lot of power into it. I need to go back and give that car another chance. I really liked it through the technical sections.

I think Ill try the Viper myself and see what I can do. It sounds interesting. Good luck all.

This seems like a great idea. I'll be testing some cars later and i'll post some of my results then. Thumbs up for this

The car was a gts viper for 78,600
super soft tires at 47750
weight loss at 1300
sport suspension at 3300
sport brakes at 4800
sport transmission at 5800
racing flywheel at 1100
racing chip at 1800
n/a stage one at 5000

It all totalled out to 149,530. Very close to the limit.
My first time in two laps was 4:46.156 a terrible time. The car was basically like I got it with no tweaking.

My second time was 4:43.361 with some mild tuning to the shocks and adding some camber to the front and rear in which there was none. This was done in two laps too.

My best time for the night was 4:39.213 as my fastest time and some beautiful lines.
I added some more shock settings and increased the camber to 2.0 front and 1.5 rear and that GTS just attacked the corners compared to before.

Thats my time so far ppl and Im still within the limit of 150,000.
Lets see some more times ppl.
This is fun as s**t. Sorry. :odd:   :D
Just having fun ppl.

Oh, anyone know what place Im in right now??
Whats the best time so far?
Im too lazy to look. :D

Actually yes, but Im the person that likes to learn on my own and the only way to achieve being better is by just doing it.
To use your settings (which looked pretty good) was like cheating to me. I guess I think differently on things like this, though I do appreciate the information. :)
Thanks man.

All right, here's some of my times. First I bought Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo. I spent 149,930 on it. My best time was 4'41.123.

Then I tried the Vauxhall VX220. I spent 146,490 on this car. My best time was 4'26.830.

If someone wants to know my settings just ask.

What car should I try next...?

Also, LoudMusic, could you post the top 3 times instead of just the best 2?

Excellent times JoniK.
Im not familiar with the Vauxhall.
Ill have to check it out.

Wow, pretty young.
Its nice to see young ppl have a love for cars.
I started liking cars when I was 10 and have been an enthusiast ever since.
It was the muscle cars of 1969 when I started liking cars. They were just a bit different than the other cars and I was hooked on them and their world.
I bet you cant wait to really drive. ;)
I was teaching my nephew to drive my Honda (manual tranny) while he was 8 and could get the first three gears. I was proud of him and he still drives from time to time. Hes now 13 and is 4mula on this site.
Sorry for the rambling, its getting late.
