Has there ever been a case of such an event happening where a driver was given a weighted item after a race before being weighed in? If not, I'd feel unbelievably insulted if I were a driver or team member that the FIA have such little trust in the teams to think they would cheat in such a way.

Qualifying has finished. Hamilton is good. Really good!:D
Agreed!!! Making it all the more impressive is that the only experience he has had with that track prior to this weekend was playing F1 on his PlayStation.

Absolutely brilliant job. 👍

Vettel impressed me considering it's his debut and only at 19, may only be for one race but it's a chance to show what he can really do for future race-seat suiters
Agreed as well.

I think it is great for F1 to finally have so much young talent in the works. If this keeps up, the 2008 F1 series is going to be even more exciting to watch than this year, and considering how much fun this season is turning out to be, I certainly can't wait to see what happens next year as well! 👍

Random trivia: Sebastian Vettel set a new record for being the fastest driver to earn a fine. He was caught speeding in pit lane just nine seconds into his Formula One career.

Good job, Seb.

Or the **** they **** on our statues? Asterisks!

Seinfeld once had a funny episode about the Agreement between Man and Pidgeon.

It's kinda sad that James Allen is having to shout out "4 whole corners of action!"

The man should commentate on BTCC or BSB, he'd have a heart attack.

Anyone else notice the Ferrari pit crew left Massa's fuel cap up?

edit: Sato is out
Yup. Replays show his left rear went onto the grass and he spun out into what I call the Gritty Kitty(Ren & Stimpy reference) around Turn 4, I believe.

Also got to see Kimi making a pit stop and the had a helmet-cam view of one of the tire changers in action. Pretty neat.

The fuel caps open and close automatically when the pit lane speed limiter is turned on and off. Have done for years.

Oh, I didn't know that.

I thought it was a gaffe.

Current hitlist.

Schumacher
Coulthard
Barichello
Sato

Martin Brundle, commentating on UK TV right now, has it spot on about Alonso's 'protest signal' to the pits... "Where's the beef?" He's got a great point... Alonso has spit the dummy already, and he's in the middle of a race!

Alonso needs to realize that he can't win the championship based on his team anymore. He's going to have to actually drive faster than Hamilton.

Going into the commercial break, I swore one of the Saubers was having some sort of trouble going into one of the turns judging from the break in engine song that I was hearing. It turns out Nick Heidfeld was having trouble with his power steering and has pulled his car off the track and retired from the race.

Currently, it's MacLarens 1-2 and Ferraris 3-4. Only in each case, it's the #2 driver for the team being ahead of the #1 drive!

UPDATE: EGADS! The factory Honda car has just been passed by the customer Super Aguri car!

Good to see Alonso immediately signalling his congrats to Hamilton as they cross the line... 👍 I guess Alonso's beef is more with the team rather than with Hamilton himself... but Hamilton really did well this weekend. Hamilton is really driving home the message that he is indeed the canine's testicles!
