Good job, Suns. :D:tup:

The latest rumor swirling around Shawn Marion is that he'll be shipped to Sacramento for Brad Miller.

I don't totally love that deal, but it wouldn't be horrible. This whole in limbo business with Marion is getting tiresome. I can only imagine how he must feel.
What is the deal there? Miller isn't bad, but basing this solely on talent, you gotta go with Marion. Marion is a proven piece, rather big piece, of a Championship caliber team. Only problem, and this is rather big one, too :D is his ego.

Of course, you guys have Wade(a Blazer in 2010), who should be able to utilize Miller much better than Kings were ever able to.

I failed to realize my Rockets had a depleted roster heading into this game. We lost by 12 to lowly Memphis, as the Rockets get their first loss against a sub-.500 team. We were down 10-0 at Memphis, but then lost 109-97. Ouch. No T-Mac or Artest in this one. We may lose at home against Atlanta as well. Showers and thunderstorms are likely here in Houston tomorrow night with a cold front, just so long as the Rockets don't go cold hosting a dangerous Hawks squad.

Yeah, I think it would be tough against the Hawks without T-Mac & Artest. That's still pretty good though, it took this long, plus the short roster, to lose against a sub .500 club.

Hmm, would you personally take Marion and maybe a filler piece (Magloire, Diawara, Wright) for Przybilla, LaFrentz, and maybe Sergio Rodriguez?

Are there any rookies you're impressed with so far this year? To me, I love Von Wafer for my Rockets. He has a good deal of consistency in knocking down buckets. He's a wonderful player for my team.

Any other rookies you're impressed with?

LeBron James is in action right now as his Cavaliers are hosting the Toronto Raptors. In the next hour, the Rockets will try to take on the Atlanta Hawks at home with a depleted lineup.

Any other rookies you're impressed with?

Micheal Beasely, Derrick Rose and the Lopez twins (Brook & Robin)

Suns host the Bucks tonight, Shaq may not play tonight, but that's a game-time decision.

An interesting stat: Bucks have not won against the Suns, in Phoenix since 1986. Odds look to be in the Suns' favor tonight.

Rockets just tamed the Hawks Texas-style with a 92-84 victory. We had to come from behind, but we've pulled it off. Toyota Center was rocking as the Rockets pulled away with the win.

Rudy Fernandez has been the biggest surprise for me. He was a superstar in Europe, but I honestly didn't think his game would translate so nicely to the NBA game. Then again, their season is only about half as long as the NBA's, so we'll have to see how much stamina Rudy actually possesses. :D

I just got back from the Blazers-Magic game. Turkoglu hit a bank-shot three pointer(no, he didn't call it lol) to beat us by one XXXXXXX point. Seriously, if you dont' call it, should it count? Bummer.

Suns beat the Bucks last night, 125-110, Suns are now 22-0 all time vs. the Bucks in the purple palace, tonight they'll face Kobe, Pau Gasol & the Lakers in LA.

Shaq won't be making the trip, he's attending a funeral for one of his family members who recently passed.

There's a rumored trade deal involving the Phoenix Suns and the Charlotte Bobcats. I heard that the Suns traded Boris Diaw to Charlotte in exchange for Jason Richardson. The Suns will also get Jared Dudley after trading Sean Singletary. For Charlotte to be as good as the previous team (remember the Charlotte Hornets?), they'll need all the star power they can get.

Speaking of Phoenix, they'll try and entertain the L.A. Lakers on the road later tonight. Like to see how the boys from the desert do at the Staples Center against the feared Lakers. This is a big match for Phoenix as they are 2nd in the Pacific division of the Western Conference looking up at #1 in the Pacific- the L.A. Lakers. On ESPN right now is Cleveland at Philadelphia. Cleveland has won 9 straight games as well as having and 18-3 record. Cleveland is wearing their golden old school uniforms. LeBron James just grimaced a bit in pain with his hand or whatever.

My Rockets won't be playing until Friday when we have a back-to-back road trip in California. Golden State Friday night, followed by going to the L.A. Clippers on Saturday. We come home Tuesday next week to entertain Denver and next Friday against Sacromento. Then next Saturday, we're going way north to play at the Minnesota Timberwolves for a potential matchup of Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian.

Enjoy tonight's games!

Interesting trade. I guess it will help Phoenix if Richardson's really motivated, but I've never been too big on the guy. Again, it is interesting.

I just learned that former Houston Rocket (now Knick), Cuttino Mobley, has some sort of heart condition and will retire after 11 years of NBA service. I wish him all the best in recovering.

Cavs beat the Sixers 101-93 on LeBron James' 29 points. Set me straight if my stats are off. I'm not a stat guy much. By the way, the Lakers lead the Suns 53-48 after 24 minutes of play.

Last I checked, the Lakers beat the Suns 115-110. Congrats to the Lakers on this win. TS may key me in as to how the Suns lost this one.

J-Rich in a winning franchise!! I'm so happy for him! What a shame that the great duo (B-Davis and J-Rich) was destroyed before last season in Golden State and where did it put that franchise right now..in fact i stumbled a great mix of that duo,at their finest:

and as a bonus a mix (quality is poor but moves are really great, have to say) of one of the most explosive point guards in NBA who retired before this season: Jason Williams aka White Chocolate:

I'm starting to notice that Thursday Night for the NBA is like Monday Night in the NFL. So here are three games sure to get you going:

* Boston Celtics at Washington Wizards
* Charlotte Bobcats at Dallas Mavericks
* Portland Trailblazers at Utah Jazz

My picks: I got Boston winning by at least 10, Dallas pounding Charlotte, and... I'm going to go for an upset- Portland beating the Salt Lake City outfit in their house. Enjoy tonight's games!

TS may key me in as to how the Suns lost this one.

Other than the obvious big trade involving Diaw and Raja that had an emotional affect on the team, there was no passing game whatsoever, Steve Nash had the ball nearly every possession, not as good defense or aggression in the paint without Shaq.

However, considering that the Suns only had 8 guys available for play in LA, a 5 point loss isn't as bad as what it could have been.

ESPN has two matches to be aired tonight. The one on now is New Orleans at Boston. Then go out west to see my Houston Rockets take on the Golden State Warriors.

Chris Paul got a steal to make it 103 straight games with a steal. He's only two away from tying one of the San Antonio Spurs for first all-time. He's way ahead of Michael Jordan's 77 straight games with a steal.

I was wondering when the Cleveland Cavaliers take on Boston since both teams are doing so well. I found out they will meet January 9, 2009... at Cleveland. Cavaliers/Celtics may well be the Eastern Conference final for all I'm concerned.

Boston currently leads the New Orleans Hornets 82-69 with 7:00 left in the game. Still awaiting the Houston/Golden State game.

Suns got a much needed win last night over the Magic, 113-112, Dwight Howard didn't play much, got into foul trouble early (3 goal tends in the 1st half!) and then went into the locker room in the 4th with an oblique injury.

It was fun watching new sun Jason Richardson, he was actually a 2nd round pick of the Suns a few years ago, but was traded because president Steve Kerr said he wasn't that good of a shooter, he made 8-16 and scored 21 points.

Tonight, my Rockets will meet the L.A. Clippers at Staples Center. Rather for a game of Uno or Scrabble or Twister... we'll be at Staples Center to slam dunk the rock all over the L.A. Clippers. We won at Golden State last night to leave the Bay Area with a victory as beautiful as San Francisco.

Enjoy tonight's games!

[UPDATE] Maurice (Mo) Cheeks was fired as the Philadelphia 76'ers (or just Sixers?) coach. Tony Di Leo is the interim coach. The coaching carousel continues!

Great news (sarcasm)! The Rockets failed to show up as the Clippers handed us our asses 95-82. Sweet! 'Twas a damn shame. They just failed to show up in the second half. Too many turnovers, not enough points. If only there were spare tires for basketball teams because we just lost it. Bad. Next after one or two more games here, we'll be on a long road trip. After we host Sacromento on December 19th, our next home game won't be until December 27th when we host a familiar foe- Utah.

And I'm upset... if we make the playoffs, we have GOT to beat Utah and/or San Antonio and stop falling on our faces in the postseason.

Rockets are hosting the Denver Nuggets right now. Houston was off to a great start taking the ball out of the air on the tip-off followed by putting up the first four points (Yao Ming with two free throws). I think the score right now is 13-2 with 9:06 left in the first quarter. To me, I think Adelman probably taught their players to take their revenge from getting pasted at LA against the Clippers.

Enjoy tonight's games!

A rematch of an Eastern Conference round from the previous postseason is in order tonight: Boston Celtics at Atlanta Hawks. Maybe the best game tonight. Enjoy tonight's games!

^ But before that game, we got San Antonio playing at Orlando. Tonight is supposedly a Big Man night of NBA action on TNT. This is going to be

Off-topic, a FUNNY way to begin the NBA on TNT pregame show. Charles Barkley had shoes thrown at him like with the George W. Bush tidbit earlier this week. This should be a good night of NBA action. And if you're impartial to the Western Conference, then be glad there is only one Eastern Conference team in these TNT matches. Tomorrow night, my Rockets will host the Sacromento Spurs. But for now, let's let these boys play a little roundball on the hardwood.

When George Dub managed to dodge those shoes, with a grin on his face(!), I was so proud of America. Who got pwned? It wasn't the reporter who threw the shoes, I'll tell you that much! God bless the Iraqis who were cheering, when they got totally owned by the American President.

I wasn't interested too much in the Blazers/Suns game tonight, but that was until I remembered the Diaw+Bell/Richardson trade. I think I'll watch little bit of it. Go Blazers, Go Terry Porter. 👍

4:51 left in the third, the Suns lead 86-77 over the Trailblazers.
