Let me say this right now... Brandon Roy is one hell of a player. He's his own bank because he can cash in that three-point shot almost anytime he likes. Such a dynamic player. I still remember when we were supposed to beat Portland at Portland... until Roy broke my Rockets' hearts with an improbable three-pointer. He's an incredible player.

He's great. But you know what, it's not even his shot, that makes him special. I've been a Roy fan since before the draft, and it's all about his basketball I.Q. The kid is a genius on the basketball court. It's the stuff you don't see on the paper.

I thought both teams played awesome tonight. It was really close, and I thought the calls went the Blazers way towards the end. Yay.

Richardson looked like a good fit for the Suns, at least for this evening. They probably would have won with Diaw & Raja in there instead though.

We're hosting Sacromento It's currently deadlocked at 53 south of 2 minutes left in the first half. Hope you love Friday action.

My Rockets will be taking on the New Jersey Nets in New Jersey. I think up next is a HUGE game- AT Cleveland. But first, we're taking on the 13-13 Nets. I just hope the Rockets don't fall on their faces like my Texans did yesterday at Oakland.

Looking forward to the Christmas day games, Hornets and Magic, Spurs and Suns, Lakers and Celtics, Wizards and Cavs and Mavs vs. Blazers

Rockets just creamated the Nets 114-91. Joey Dorsey picked up his first NBA points on a wicked dunk. If only we can bring this kind of effort at Cleveland tomorrow night...

Now that my Rockets have wasted New Jersey, we now have to deal with Cleveland. Cleveland may damn well go right into the Eastern Conference finals against maybe Boston. If we were a powerful enough team, this would be a possible NBA Finals preview. But we're not there yet. We'll return to the Western Conference teams on Friday when we'll play at New Orleans. But for now, we got King James to deal with at his castle.

Three quarters in, and LeBron's boys lead my boys 73-66. The Rockets just can't buy a basket. We know what happened when we took on the Clippers in L.A., we got our asses handed to. If LeBron keeps this up, we'll be heading into New Orleans on a one-game losing streak.

Hope your teams are doing well tonight...

Cleveland & Boston are unbeatably hot right now......... I hope that jinxed them. :P

Blazers are playing the Nuggets in their back-to-back. We lost at Denver last night, Blazers should win at home tonight, but I'm not worried about it, either way. Blazers are far from complete. They've been looking really raw, especially defensively. It's a young team, comes with the territory. :D

It's official. We're going to the Big Easy with a 99-90 loss over our heads. The Rockets still knew what they signed up for. Merry Christmas to the Rocckets. Up next- at New Orleans on Friday.

Christmas has some great NBA games on ABC. San Antonio steps into Phoenix to take on the Suns. The more intriguing match is Boston at the L.A. Lakers- a rematch of the 2007-2008 NBA Finals.

Enjoy all five games on the card for Christmas, and Merry Christmas to all of you!

Merry Christmas to one and all! The Spurs @ Suns game is playing right now. And right now, Phoenix dropped the first nine points in the game as the Spurs needed a timeout.

Enjoy the five games lined up for today and tonight.

God, I hate Shaq. I see him dance around Duncan, like Timmy's his girlfriend. When he plays against our bigs, Joel Przybilla or Greg Oden, I'd be seeing Shaq lower his shoulder, pushing them out of position. Even when he got to dunk with authority with Duncan and Bonner on him, no taunting, no eye contact. I guess he can't bully everybody now, so he just bullys selectively. Pathetic.

There are many things you can want for Christmas. However (sadly for TS), heartbreak doesn't make a good gift. A heart-breaking dagger of a three-pointer led San Antonio past the Suns 91-90. It was a very exciting match. Tough luck for the Suns.

Now after ESPN on ABC kept marketing the Boston/Lakers matchup more than this one, that match is coming up. BIG win for San Antonio, but Phoenix has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. You handed San Antonio their asses, but it just wasn't enough.

Yeah, overall, I thought Phoenix played good enough to win. But Parker at the end, as a decoy, that was priceless. 👍

She's in the books: that 19-game winning streak now kaput thanks to (to use drag racing terms) a win on a holeshot. Lakers won 92-83, and congratulations to Phil Jackson on his 1,000th win. What a way to get it- on Christmas, against a game Celtics squad, in your house. That's a gift that keeps on giving. Congratulations!

Final two games:
* Washington at Cleveland
* Dallas at Portland (get ready, a6m5!)

A game I forgot to mention... how the hell can the New Orleans Hornets lose 86-66 at Orlando? Either Orlando's getting better or New Orleans going cold...

:(

Suns were in control of that game, turnovers (Suns average ~16 per game, which is 2nd or 3rd worst in the NBA) made the difference between them losing by one instead of winning by 10.

I think Dallas beat Portland 102-94 at Portland last night. So a rough loss for the Trail Blazers at home. It will be back-to-work for a lot of teams tonight including my Rockets. They'll meet the New Orleans Hornets tonight in New Orleans.

I missed the Blazers game. :P They got some serious issue with their defense. I guess the defense couldn't catch up with the shooters + pick & roll, again. This is happening pretty much every game now. They all review game tapes, right? What the heck!

The Rockets are just getting started in their downward spiral. So what does New Orleans do after getting their brains beat out by 20 at Orlando? Beat us 88-79, of course! It doesn't get any easier with Utah coming to Toyota Center. Yes... that team (besides San Antonio) we can't seem to beat in the first round of the playoffs. Rockets lost two straight. Will they break it tomorrow night back home? We'll see.

Utah is hard to beat without getting physical. Yao & T-Mac, almost the opposite of physical. IMO, you guys need more Artest.

Houston took down Utah in double overtime to an impressive win. I forgot the score, but I think we were ahead by at least eight in the second overtime. Likewise, San Antonio (boo!) picked up a good double OT win as well. How does that saying go? Oh yeah... don't mess with Texas!

The third member of the Texas Triangle saw Dirk N. get into some trouble with a Flagrant Foul he committed in a recent game. Not sure if all three Texas teams won last night or not, but I do know Dirk got into trouble with a flagrant foul.

My Rockets will play their final two games of 2008 in the comfort of Toyota Center. But when 2009 starts... we're in another country (Canada), then return to America for four road games! This should be the final (I'm hearing) five-game road trip once it concludes. It's a road trip that includes a trip to... a city called Boston. It's going to be tough, so I hope the Rockets can get themselves some wins.

The Suns will face the 3-28 Oklahoma City Thunder tonight, hopefully the Suns can avenge the buzzer beater loss that they were handed Christmas day.

Oh, hell... I think Phoenix will be all fired up and win by at least 10 or 20. Big win for the Suns (unless the Suns just don't show up). Okay... my Rockets will host the Wizards tonight followed by Milwaukee on New Year's Eve.

See what happens when you play down to lower teams? You lose 89-87. If this keeps up after losing to a now six-win Wizards team, we'll probably lose the final game of '08 to Milwaukee. Damn it to hell, man... PLAY HARDER!!!

My team is accused of that plenty as well. Playing down to the level of competition.

I think the Blazers are hosting the Celtics tomorrow. Along with the Suns, this is a team that bullies the Blazers. Kids on the Blazers actually put up some fight against the Phoenix, last time around. I however don't believe that they are capable of doing that against KG.... I mean, Boston.

If the Blazers shoot well, I see them staying close. Maybe even win. If not, look for a double digit win for the Celtics. This one's for the Celtics to lose.

Suns beat the Thunder 110-102, and that was without having Steve Nash on the court for nearly the entire game (he left midway through the first with back spasms). Shaq had another double-double (28 points and 12 rebounds) and passed Dominique Williams for 9th all-time in points scored.

Tonight Phoenix will take a bus ride to Memphis and will face Rudy Gay & OJ Mayo of the Grizzlies.
