Edit: They're talking about it now... the car gets credited 3 minutes on the start/finish line so it's position isn't relative to where it should be... potentially crazy...

Yeah, let´s see. As I already said, on TV they didn´t mention it yet. But I don´t doubt that they maybe don´t even know yet

It's all over the place, the #1 car is running 4th on the road but the timing screens show it in second place only 2 minutes behind the #99

GT1 would be too fast so they are not allowed.
They tried this year to slower the fastest car down. With the RSR #1 it worked a bit.

Yeah, but don´t forget the slower cars. The faster the leaders go, the more the differences in speed what can be more dangerous.

And honestly I am not so sure if the GT1 cars would survive 24h on the bumpy nurbrugring

In 2001 the fastest cars in Qualyifing was 8:58 (Dodge Viper GTS-R (GT2 Racecar)). Now in the RACE the GT3 Porsche #2 drives 20 seconds FASTER

Yeah I can understand the speed differences... but just lose the current slowest class... or two... to qualify you need to lap in a certain time... addresses the problem to a point...

GT1 cars would make it about perfect... their 'premier' race so to speak...

Well, I am against kicking more slow cars out!
GT1 has their 24h in SPA.
I want all the cars again from the years before. The small ones belong here as well as the big bangers.
In the small classes is mostly more intense racing than in the overall racing. I wrote it already last year V2 result was the difference between the first 2 318is not even a minute after 24h!!!

I hope this race ends up being a classic like the first major 24 hour race of the year, the 24 Hours of Daytona

I hope it doesnt' come down to the 3 minute penalty given tot he #1. A dream finish for me would be the #1 nipping the #99 at the line, or vice versa. The penalty could potentially ruin a great finish

EDIT: I would like to see open top prototypes at this race, but slower ones that cant fight for the overall lead

Yes, exactly. FIA GT races there. No LMPS

Don´t forget the SP classes the #1 car for example is a modified GT2 car.
Because of the new reglement it got a bit slower so that the GT3s have a chance.

Well don't forget that the Spa 24 Hours is an FIA GT1 and GT2 Race, but they also allow GT3 car's to race there aswell.
