2010 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Bad track design. Webber couldn't pass a Torro Rosso and Fernando can't pass Petrov. Terribly boring race. Imagine all the people watching F1 for the first time..

Stay out of this thread. You've done nothing but moan, and if you think this is boring, then you are watching the wrong sport. Go away and do something else with your day. 👎:grumpy:

Yes thanks. You guys are my race coverage!
Great job ....what the heck is happening??

Hamilton is absolutely destroying his tires... he should just fall back and wait for Kubica to pit. Alonso has probably done his tires no favor behind Petrov, either.

Barring any unforeseen incidents... Vettel is going to win, likely winning the championship.

If Button manages to get ahead of Vettel Alonso would win.
I'm not sure he needs to worry about that - and how fitting that it seems to be two Renault cars that are helping Vettel out big time here...

Come on. I want a safety car. And every non-championship contender to pit.
It's kind of ironic that I don't want Vettel to do it and my favourite team is pretty much handing it to him.

I was just thinking about that...

This might be the end. Vettel doesn't need to push, anymore... he's got his cushion over Hamilton, thanks to Kubica, and he'll pass Button when he pits. All he can do is drive his best and wait and see if Alonso will be able to pass Petrov.

I'm not sure if I heard correctly, but I think the BBC commentator said that Vettel has not lead the Championship so far this season. Anyone know if that's right?

Add to that that Kubica may be able to pit and still come out infront of Alonso too! Remarkable... I've been waiting on Kubica pitting for laps now, but now I want him to stay out as long as he can and build that lead on Alonso!

I heard him say that too... if that's true, it's pretty amazing!

Easy race for Seb, no traffic. Good job from RB, terrible job from Ferrari. Webber proved again he's not worth of the title.

Seb, congrats, you really do deserve this years title!

Well, at least Hamilton will score a podium...

A nice ending for McLaren.
:)

*Optimism removed* (although I'm still a Hamilton fan)

Webber is kinda slow.

Eddie Jordan (BBC coverage) had it right, by the looks of things... he noted that Webber was not fired up enough for the race and it looks like he may have thrown in the towel... it would be helpful for the team if he was hassling Alonso, but he hasn't even challenged him when Alonso has fallen off the track... I reckon he just hasn't got the desire to push any harder.

You know... it's not the Renaults that are ruining Hamilton and Alonso's chances in this race... it's Alonso and Hamilton. They're just killing themselves in that dirty air. Alonso, in particular, seems to be revisiting his early season performance... a bit erratic... a bit impatient... a bit over the edge.

Kubica stops, this could be the nail in Alonso's title hopes this year...

... and, he's ahead of Petrov  But, a possible penalty for Kubica?... :nervous:

If Kubica gets a drive-through Alonso might have a chance. He would really need to overtake Petrov then.

Yeah, that makes sense to me, he seems to have had the wind taken out of his sails after quali. He really should have been able to be all over Alonso for the whole race.
Was there any specific problem for him in qualifying? I think Red Bull dropped the ball by sending him for one long run instead of two short ones. But I suppose it worked for Vettel
