You might not believe it but he made some money out of that too

Sorry for the OT

A Vettel victory tonight is just what the championship needs.
Stunning quali lap from him.

C'mon! :D

I went everywhere in the internet and it's all the same. Seriously though, the lad did a great lap yesterday, so? It's just a qualifying, we never know what will happen in the race...

Fail.

Vettel taking pole does not make a qualifying session any more or less exciting. Especially considering that he edged Hamilton out by less than a tenth of a second. Or the way seven drivers - Raikkonen, Grosjean, Alonso, Perez, Ricciardo di Resta and Senna - were all figthing over five places in Q3 at the end of the second session?

Ah this thread is Classic! Going to be interesting tonight. My prediction Vettel to get the jump and lead start to end and schumi to get a great start and dive-bomb the first corner and take 6 others out :sly:

No, we just hate his finger.

At least his chances of being taken out by a backmarker are greater and can happen much sooner in the race now. :sly:

The official website lists it. So does Autosport, if Formula1.com is down.

It still doesn't make the qualifying session any less exciting.

Never said it did. Lets make a gearbox changes, it'll be too easy to win from 17th thinks schumi. Is he the only one? :sly:

Just can't get any worse for Schumacher really, they also may opt him to start from the pit - probably safer to avoid any first-corner shenanigans...

Schumacher is going to be starting 23rd. He might as well start from the pits at this point. He'll still be at least 18th by the end of the first lap.

You can't gain positions and you start several seconds down if you start from the pitlane, it is a disadvantage.
Sure he might avoid 1st corner contact and he'll probably catch the HRTs and Marussias within one lap due to their first lap squabbling..but overall he will have lost a chunk of time to the leaders.

Better to start from the grid and make positions off the start (assuming he gets a good start). Then he doesn't waste time trying to get past as many backmarkers and doesn't lose time sitting in the pitlane waiting to go.
